Grossman Fail of the Week -- Chad OchoCinco

Rush23

Noob
This week's Grossman Fail of the Week award goes to Chad OchoCinco. If you didn't catch it, this past week OchoCinco trash talked Jets CB Darrelle Revis on Twitter all week long and then when the game came around he had 0 catches. Check out the full article here.

How do you feel about him trash talking Revis over twitter and then getting shut down? Makes not only him but the Bengals look foolish.

hehe, I have no problem with #85, he's all good fun. If I remember correctly Revis were in on it as well, they were just having fun.

I heard during the game he said he would change his name back to Johnson if he got shut out......:swing:

I think Chad was going to change his name anyways.

This one is available again.

To be fair, Chad hurt his knee in pregame warm ups when he slipped, that might have had something to do with it.

They were just having fun with each other, it seemed as if they get along well off the field.

The loss of Chris Henry really hurt the Bengals. While I'm sure its mentally hard to be competitive for them, Chris' death also left the Bengals without a second receiver and a deep threat. Ocho is a good posession receiver but really lacks the necessary speed to get deep. The defenses are just going to t-off on the dude, then stack the box to shut down the running game.

Revis pretty muched shut down Andre Johnson has well ....... :(

I saw a stat during that game that blew my mind - Revis has held a veritable plethora of "A list" receivers to under 35 ypg this season.

Included in the list was AJ, Randy Moss (twice), TO (twice), etc etc.

Revis is a bad man.

The pressure from the front 7, especially Kris Jenkins, had as much to do with shutting down AJ as Revis did.

The announcers were talking about that during the game, but he was running and cutting just fine.

Chad has always been overrated. Revis owned him.

I'll give you that. Schaub didn't have time to do much of anything other than squeal and wince before he got hit.

Think if we offered Rex Ryan a trade for a bucket of KFC, Dunta Robinson, Fred Bennet, and Texan_Bill that he might ship us Revis?

Too bad he was picked before we had a chance.

You forgot your sarcasm smiley. Revis and Patrick Willis were both on the board when we took our long-term juvenile project that year. 3 of the 4 guys taken after Amobi have already been to the Pro Bowl. We're still trying to potty train our boy apparently.

yep. A lot of great CBs seem to be made with great pressure on the QB. Something about having to cover for 2 seconds is so much easier than covering for 5-6 seconds.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but that Amobi pick was a reach when they did it. I remember being at your place with Vinny and all of us scratching our heads. Big V said that Amobi would have been available in the second round, so why take him there? More smartest guy in the room stuff.

I don't think it was a reach, I remember seeing a lot of mocks with Amobi going top 5. I can't say I was ever excited about the pick.

I will admit i was excited with the amobi pick after watching him in his career at louisville. I saw a young athletic dt that we could groom to being a star but he has been a bust so far i hope he turns out into something

Yeah, I remember a lot of mock drafts with him going a few picks before us.

I sure wish he had. Any time you draft a guy who's that young (19) he's a project, I don't care what he's done at the college level. The NFL is an entirely different animal. Draft picks are already a huge gamble and using a top ten pick on a 19 year old who made his reputation playing against the "brutal competition" of the Big East is just nuts.

Ray Rice who ran for Rutgers would have been a great pick.
