How is this team not in the playoffs?

Every other team that had players on this list are playoff bound.

It's mind-numbing isn't it?

We just tried our darndest to find ways to lose games. The two Browns had a large part in us finding those ways of losing.

It pains me every time I reflect on the season and what could've been.

It is pretty dissapointing...thanks alot Brown bros.

It wasn't all on them, but damn, this season could have been epic.

It makes meeting the goal of having a winning record seem a little too low, doesn't it?

Brian Cushing made the top 5 list for tackles also. It's funny that he also lead our team in interceptions with 4. That shows you how good he is and how we need some serious help in the secondary.

There have been several answers to this question over the season:

1) McNair: the players are chokers
2) The Soapers: Kubiaks poor leadership
3) The Settlers: we had a winning season! Next year is ours!
4) A Player: lack of fan support

And his other brother Chris.... see how he is pleading with the football..."please don't jump out of my hands today"

we kinda stand in our own way :bubbles:

this.

slaton fumblies our first trip into the redzone
chris brown fumblies into the endzone
stoned at the 1 yard line
moats fumblies at the goalline, kris brown
kris brown
chris brown decides not to go down or throw the ball away
pick-6

plus as many bonehead playcalling or personnel dicisions as we want to put on kubiak (game's on the line, who should we trust to win it this time? i know - let's try CHKris brown again!). it's arguable that we overachieved to be as close as we were all season due to a handful of guys having insane seasons like schaub & johnson, but in the end we just beat ourselves.

regardless, we had a solid season. i cant even remember the last time a houston football team was scoreboard watching the last week, which was a whole lot of fun.

most bizarre play that I can remember over the season is Slaton fumbled on his own with no one touching him in one of the first few games .. basically tripped over his own lineman (not putting all on Slaton) but just some of the weird stuff that happened over the season

The play where he landed on his head?

Yeah, he tripped over Studdard and landed on his head and ball carrying arm. He wasn't touched by the opponent before he hit the ground so it was considered a fumble.

I was thinking about that last night during the Jets/Bengals game. I cannot remember the last time that I was watching other games because the outcome had a direct impact on a Houston football team's playoff chances. I might have to think back decades.

This is innapporirpate (Jesus, can't spell worth $hit)...it looks like Schaub may be getting a BJ if you know what I mean. But seriously, can someone retake his picture plz, it looks just so :mcnugget:

Well we hashed the reasons why over and over. I think runner summed up the basic reasons. Depends on your viewpoint.

This guy stands in the way.

Will someone please drop a piano on this guy ...I mean seriously...

"Hey Coyote...this guy is not as fast as the roadrunner you might just hit him."

back to op.....I am copping out and blaming others but the Texans

It was the refs....

Kevin Walter PI call.....I am just sayin.

Reggie Wayne PI call.....again?

Ryan moats fumble recovered by guy out of bounds.....WTF?

Horrible horse collar call against Cushing vs Titans.

If one of those horrible calls is not made...where would we be?

I'm sure the ladies look past that with the paper he makes.....but I'm not mad at him.

hehe, one of my wife's girlfriends went to an autograph signing and said Schaub "smells good". She was goo-goo eyed for a week and wanted to have his baby. She got mad at me when I teased her about him being the NFL's first gay QB (of course I was joking with her, just in case folks think I was serious...not that there's anything wrong with being the NFL's first gay QB, of course).

I'm pretty sure Manning and his mangina got to the NFL before Schaub.

Yeah I think there was one play in the Buffalo game when Slaton just flat out dropped it and led to him being benched. Great player but to be a RB you need to know how to hold a ball
