Ty Law visiting Jacksonville today

If he is fully healed, he'll be a great pickup for you guys.

Mathis and Law would definitley be an extremely tough secondary.
 
Oh that matchup would be unstoppable...but if he isn't 110% I don't see our FO picking him up. They have been pretty smart in any moves so far this season. :whew

Yea but tour FO knows you have to face Harrison, Stokely, and Wayne. It also knows that Law gives Manning fits.
 
Man, sort of a win/lose situation for us. Good that he gives Manning lots of problems (I like anyone that stops that dude), but, of course, bad because our boy Carr will have to face him twice a year, too.

I really wouldn't care. He is getting old and is comming off a foot injury and is going to be losing a step, if he hasn't lost one all ready.
 
He is a physical cb and is one of the main reasons why the league made a emphasis on the no chuck rule. He was injured last year while many dbs strugled under the rule enforcement. He has to come back and prove that he is still a top flight cb. It is either going to be boom or bust with him.

Last time Andre faced Law he had 4 catches for 37 yards and 1 touchdown.

Tony Banks only threw for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns that game subbing for an injured David Carr.

C'mon man, that's pathetic... what was that, two seasons ago? You sound like a Raiders fan. :ouch:

Law may or may not be the player he was after his injury... it's hard to say. Either way, he would have been much better off taking the Pats' offer to restructure his contract. By refusing and allowing himself to be released, it appears he'll get a one-year deal only, and for less money.
 
well i think he refused the contract for the same reason seymour is having a contract dispute...these players feel a little under appriciated because they keep hearing that it's all the system...it's all the coaching...at some point all players want it to be about them and that's what's going on now

as for law being a jag...i don't want to see it...i don't like the idea of the jags getting any good free agents...if the jags get him i wish him the best luck because he's been a top player for his career and i have much respect for the things he has accomplished
 
At this point, I don't see it happening...I don't know if our FO wants to take a chance on that foot. But, stranger things have happened. idonno:

Good secondary, maybe even one that could be great given a little time together, good play from the safeties, and a pass rush. Unstoppable? No.
