Brandon Marshall Broncos WR Injured at Practice

JWarren14

Beer Me
The CBS affiliate in Denver is reporting that Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall sustained an injury to his hamstring during the early portion of practice on Wednesday, and limped from the field afterwards.

This is not the kind of news that will make anyone in Denver happy heading into a do-or-die game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. We'll have more on this when the official injury report is released.
-Per ESPN Insider Rumors

Everyone say a prayer that he is too hurt to play this weekend. He is by far Denver's best WR option. Although they may not need to throw the ball at all as the Chiefs absolutely suck at stopping the run.

are things starting to rule ass?
Starting to?

Have you not been watching things quietly fall into place for the last 3 weeks? Right after that Seattle game I started to notice it. It's creepy but it keeps happening over and over. Did you see Cincy almost loose on Sunday. Pittsburgh curiously beat Green Bay and have enough in the tank to beat Derrick Mason's hands. Weird right? The colts pulling their guys and Cincy eeking one out was really the first thing that hasn't gone in our favor in weeks.

It would only help us if he's out.

Chiefs actually have a pretty good CB in Brandon Flowers, its unfortunate nobody knows just how good he is when KC cannot rush the passer worth a lick.

Maybe we can loan them Pollard after our noon game LOL...

I'm really torn on this one.
On one hand, it benefits the Texans so it's good,
But I need Marshall in my fantasy Superbowl this week.
The payoff for the winner figures to be around $1,500, so it's more than just a casual interest I have in Marshall's playing status.
For anyone interested, my other starting WR is Ochocinco, so there's some worry at that position as well. It looks like Steve Smith (Giants) will be getting a start...

Reality football trumps fantasy...I hope the guy can't play. We need every advantage we can get.

Now...if we blow the game against the Pats...I hope he plays for your sake...

Are we Jaguar fans now?

That makes no sense, I will not pray that any player is hurt. Especially if they aren't playing against us on Sunday.

For me I do not ever pray for an injury that's just wrong IMO. These guys play and they all have a job to do we don't pray for injuries to any non sports player on the job or an illness on the job. Do we? The Texans make the playoffs and I'll be as happy as all get out but they should have to earn it the right way. If they really and truly deserved to be in the playoffs then they would have had a playoff birth locked up on their own already without having to rely on any help come Sunday not that I won't be cheering for a playoff birth Sunday but these are my true feelings and JMO.

I dont' think anyone is praying for him to have an injury, he already has one. Nothing wrong with hopng the PRESENT injury keeps him out of the game.

If he is already injured then fine but I have seen folks hope and pray for an injury but I just do not buy that.

Say a prayer.

That he is too hurt.

sorry guys I don't see the inocence in this.
All I am saying is the average Joe does not pray for another to get hurt at work. Why should it be done in sports where the danger is very high? JMO.

That's not really earning crap I'm just saying. In the playoffs and the SB that is not the way things are.

Sure it is. Let's compare two teams that won 3 out of 4 Super Bowl's in their era, the Cowboys and the Patriots. Who you gonna say didn't earn that distinction, the Cowboys who dominated two games and Neil O'Donnelled their way through the third or the Patriots who had to kick field goals to win all three? Injuries are reality and should be recognized but they shouldn't be excuses. Losing Palamalu counts as did losing OD but somehow they have to overcome.

You have a point and I agree. I just feel like if the starters are ready to play in the playoffs they are going to play. Why not get your team up to that level and style of play if the the chance is there? Just each team play their scrubs at the same time I say. J/K LOL.

No.

But I'm with you.

If I prayed, I'd be praying that the Ravens, Broncos, Patriots, and Jets starters all had the squirts too bad to take the field on Sunday.
Those would make for some messy games. This weekend could forever be known as the brown Sunday games. I don't know if i could stomach them.

Well, he is being benched by the coach so it's not just the injury. Interesting piece..

McDaniels wouldn't directly address the reasons for his decision, though he mentioned accountability and said several other players will play Sunday with injuries worse than Marshall's. Marshall tweaked his right hamstring at practice Wednesday.
Marshall comes back with this.

"Coach never played in the NFL," Marshall told reporters after the decision, according to KDVR-TV, Denver's Fox affiliate. "I'm going to handle this professionally."

Any decent fantasy league has already had their Superbowl. Extending the fantasy playoffs to week 17 half the elite players in the league might sit out (this year any players for Colts, Bolts, Pats, Bengals, Saints) is just lame.

Exactly. I don't want Marshall to make his injury worse. I want him to rest this week so he will be healthy the next week when he watches the Texans in the playoffs on TV.
