Same favorites against the AFC South:
Taylor pounds Doss.
Scobee's field goal against the colts.
Taylor's TD to beat the Titans.
Jax 27 Hou 0
Marcus Stroud clotheslining David Carr 2 years ago.
The worst would be losing to the Titans in the 1999 AFC title game and for the 3rd time that season.

And they wonder why we get on their board and spank them verbally on a regular basis.....and on the field too. Yo, Capers....post this on David's locker for a motivational tool, like he really needs one against Stroud but still...a motivator.

Some are even blaming having a black QB on decline of ticket sales over at the litterbox. Since when does color matter? It IS 2005 here, is it 1965 in Jacksonville? 2 reasons for me not to attend a game at Alltarp. I can't believe I am reading this crap over there.

Unfortunately, 40 years is not really along time...Whether acknowledged or not, race still boils under the surface pretty significantly in most areas of our culture.

My brother and his family live over there (business reasons) and I think I remember him saying it's worse over there than around here. However, I don't see how that can be blamed for declining ticket sales.

Who cares if it was his favorite play? It was a good hit and a great play on Stroud's part.

kind of sad though when they have to boast a game when we had Ragone and Wells starting for us. But then again that's the only game against the Texans they really can boast about.

Perhaps because it was a cheap, illegal hit on a QB? Maybe because it shows a lack of sportsmanship and integrity to name it as a favorite moment?

Meh, it's alright. One of my favorite plays vs the AFC South was Robaire Smith trucking over Leftwich. It was a great hit, and sacks come so rarely from the Texans DL that you have to be excited when it happens hehe. I think ol' Lefty had to sit out after that one.

If it's an consulation...I don't consider that a highlight of my Jaguars fandome(sp?I don't even think it's a word) most of us don't.
When Ferguson(GB) got clotheslined by DD, a majority of the Jag fines were pretty concerned. Contrary to popular belief, jag fans are not heartless...In my opinion, it was far from intentional.

I know you are not one who was on the Stroud or Darius bandwagon over there, but several were. True, not all your fans are heartless, but some do lend that feeling to those who read the boards at times. When the Darius hit went down and we monitored how the fans were expressing themselves over there...there were some very heartless responses.
Like any other team message board....everyone has their opinion. The Internet boards are only a small percentage of the fan population...but carry alot of the voice and vibe of what is going on with the organization.

But trust me, that clothesline on Carr started alot of the troubles between the two franchises. To bring it up as a favorite was pretty crappy, that is why I tried to ask if it was a mistake before the flame was lit.

I think it's hard to say if it is a mistake or not. The only people that know when that happens are those that do it. I don't think Jag fans have the right to say "IT WASN'T INTENTIONAL, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" just as Texan fans don't have the right to say "IT WAS INTENTIONAL, HE DID IT ON PURPOSE AND HE IS AN @@@!"

As far as starting something with us...that all started when Half(that's a bit of an exaggeration) our team and Capers left Jville for Houston. Boselli was a HUGE fan favorite here in Jax. Even though he never played a down for you guys, it was still hard to see him go. :crying:

by the way, the smilies here are sooo much better than over at the Jag board! :woot:

A Cowboy fan would have to know the meaning of sportsmanship and integrity to understand this post.

So I suppose when Lavar Arrington whacked the doo-doo out of troy aikman, you were cool with it. You know which play I'm talking about.
Do you think Roy Williams should be able to horse collar dudes down from behind too? Just wondering. Hope not though.

I was at that game and there wasn't anything wrong with Arrington's tackle on Troy..he just landed on his head and suffered another in a long history of concussions. Stuff happens.

I am sorry the NFL outlawed the "horse collar" tackle. Pretty soon they'll be dressing up the defenses in nice pretty dresses.

I'm glad they outlawed it. There is no place in the game for this since it injures players and ruins careers.

I'm w/Vinny, I also think they should outlaw the cut block.

you know i'm torn on the whole horsecollar take down tackle...i mean when you are tackling a guy who is in front of you the only thing a defensive player is thinking about is getting him...by outlawing this tackle they are taking away part of the instincts a defensive player has in order to protect the offensive players...in my mind that's total bs...but that's just me...i would like to see the nfl outlaw the offensive players ability to stiff arm the facemask of the defensive players...basically the nfl gives recievers and runningbacks the ok on faskmasking has long as it's in the use of a stiff arm...which in my opinion us bull****...they need to balance all these rules...they are trying to make this game into an offensive game and there are a few of us who prefer defensive struggles

I dont want to say its JUST as easy.. but if you are within arms reach of his shoulder pads.. then you should be in arms reach of his waist and legs if you go for the legit tackle.

So.. while it may be LIMITING the ways that you can tackle a person .. it is NOT (I think) making it any more difficult for a defender to tackle someone.

Wow, you guys have thin skin. Just because a couple Jags fans think that way doesn't mean all of them do.

Message boards tend to stereotype.
