Raiders, You Need Help

So I heard they signed JP Losman. The same JP Losman who couldn't hack it in the NFL anymore and went to the UFL? Right, instead of the rich, lazy ass JaMarcus Russell.

Now, I'm just saying...they're already paying him about a billion dollars to dominate the buffet lines in Oakland. Why not try him out elsewhere on the team? He's got the size to fit in elsewhere (he goes about 6'5'' 250 right?) Tight End comes to mind first. Maybe pack on the burgers and try him on DLine? As a QB he's a joke AND he's done but measurables have turned people into players before. If nothing else you are getting SOMETHING out of him instead of NOTHING (or with his atrocious play, LESS than nothing)

Before anyone comes here and says "Oh that's stupid he was selected first overall you can't select a TE/project first overall" get off my back because Al Davis is the stupid one. I'm just trying to help the guy out.
 
Ever seen Russell run?

Watched just about every game he played at LSU. Ole boy's feet look like they're in concrete shoes.

Wagering that he'll be out of the league, broke, and on one of those "What ever happened to..." or "Biggest draft busts" shows in 5 years.

Agreed! He seems like one of those players that was looking to "get paid" from the getgo. Now that he's gotten paid....pffft, he could care less.

I thought he was a joke coming out of LSU and he's done nothing to change my mind. Al Davis has/is ruining his own organization and I only feel sorry for the fans.
 
He is 100% without a shadow of a doubt the worst QB to EVER play in the NFL. You knew it was bad when he responded to the question, "Do you think you have been a disappointment?" his answer was "No, I drive a Rolls Royce". Effing loser.

A big arm doesn't mean jack if you can't read a defense. But I bet Al will draft another QB that can throw deep. But we'll probably draft another DL that runs a great 40 and benches 225 30 plus times.

Dude was terrible. And as bad as he was on the field, he was twice as bad off of it. A complete asshat. Say what you will but Russell is better than him on the field, and a whole lot better in the character dept. Russell is good people from everything I know...whereas Leaf is a complete and utter jerk.

As if he isn't already?

I'll bet he can handle a blocking TE role. You don't need to burn for that. Or just plump him up for a OL position. I just think it's sad how his and my QB skills are pretty even but he's the one banking off of it.

Russell isn't a great athlete so there is really no place in the league for him if he can't play qb. At least the Raiders have been to the playoffs this decade....they won their division 3x

Russell won't be playing regularly and will probably get a little more big boned. He could line up next to the other great Raiders draft pick Robert Gallery.

Ha, believe it or not, there was a time when I really like the Raiders. A fellow DE by the name of Howie Long was one of my favorite players to watch. I learned a lot by just watching his game.

I like Howie except when he came to the dome. I remember calling him a Puh ce to his face as the players were leaving the field by the temp. bleacher section. Doubt he heard me, but it made me feel like a fan. :turtle:

Russell... geeze, but guess it is ok being he got his money and bling.. hell I even heard Deon Sanders a few weeks back saying something like JaMarcus needs to take those earrings off and play

I'm surprised a thread was created. Its pretty obvious the Raiders need help. We have talent...I am sure that was apparent when we had a QB playing. It is frustrating to think what could have been if Grad was the starter at the beginning of this season.

However, that doesn't matter much, the position that needs to be changed the most is the GM position...I could care less if Al owned the team as long as he backed off (probably won't though). We have drafted busts for quite some time now...and the sad part is, if they were one ANY OTHER team, they may have actually been good (except for Russell...wow does he blow).

What do I think about us picking up Losman? I see it as one more step towards getting rid of the cancer that is Russell. Our 3rd string QB (Frye) is starting in place of Russell this week, that says a lot. I believe Davis has FINALLY come to the conclusion that JaFatAss is a lost cause. Hopefully that senile SOB doesn't forget that he's come to that conclusion...although it would explain why Russell has been able to play for so long without being benched :headhurts:.
