What if we loose to Seattle or St Louis?

Even if its a close game, would that change your mind?
I am assuming that you directed this thread to all the folks who are on the Kubiak Koolaid train. While I want Him gone ( and I mean like last year) I think I understand how hard it is to break that emotional attachment that fans have with him. After all, he is a nice guy and he has improved the team and its performance from horrible to mediocre. They all believe that if Kubiak is kept on as HC the very worst this team will do is 500 again next season and that gives them the warm fuzzies as compared to the nightmare of 2-14. He is the safe choice. I really do understand what they are going through. I was one of the Carr homers who thought that if he just had one more year, and an improved o-line that he would be the star that he was drafted to be. He was safe as well. after all, he and AJ had a chemistry that I was sure would translate to a SB if the front office would only get a good running back and some more receivers so that Andre would not be double teamed. When there is an emotional attachment, almost any and every excuse imaginable will be used to justify keeping that player or coach beyond his time. And likewise, no amount of reason or hard fact will sway the devotee to go against his/her idol. I say this to respond to your challenge that even if the Texans lose all the rest of their games, very few of the Kubiak faithful will change their minds. They will always believe he needs just one more year.

I wouldnt put it past this team to lose both of those games.

It is up to McNair if he wants to stick it out with Kubiak.

Some say he doesnt have the right players in a couple positions. But guess what? Every team has a weak spot here and there. Its what you do to cover it up that makes you a good coach.

I doubt the boards will change at all. There will be a group that laments the final nail in the coffin of a winning season. There will be a group that says wins don't matter. There will be a smattering of football talk.

A loss this week means more of the same. As does a win.

If we "loose" this week it'll likely mean we're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Not that we had a chance to begin with.

In others words, who cares? These worthless last quarter wins were nice and all a couple years ago. Now, it doesn't mean diddly squat.

Season's over! Time to go into our "self evaluation" mode. *Place the numchucking yourself in the balls smiley here.*

If we lose a close game, then we lose. It seems we've grown accustomed to lose close this season with the exception of the NYJ game. And no, it wont change my mind. They're meaningless games...again in December.

If the Texans "loose" this sunday it won't change my opinion that kubes needs to go! But it might bring a few more people over to the darkside!

I don't know if we are going to win or lose. What I do know is that if the Texans get off to a bad start Sunday, the boos will be loudest that they've ever been in Reliant Stadium.

I don't expect a win.

I don't demand a win.

I am aware that it's very possible for us to lose every game that remains.

It's entirely possible that the Titans finish in 3rd and we finish in 4th. Which is sad, when you think about how they started out 0-6.

People think that it's not going to get worse, but I anticipate that we will have more anger and more conversions to the Fire Kubiak Club before this season is over.

Enough is enough, to me.

I said that this team is like a yo-yo: It goes up and down, up and down, up and down, and a yo-yo never goes anywhere new. We've seen Kubiak do some walk-the-dog and a little loop-da-loop every now and then, but this team is a yo-yo. Time to cut the string, IMO, and throw the yo-yo across the room.

winning record or good bye Kubes

The only chance we have at a winning record at this point is 9-7. What is the real difference between a 9-7 team and an 8-8 team that isn't going to the post season? I just don't see why that one game would make anyone sway their opinion regarding a coach one way or the other.

9-7 is easier for McNair to defend his decision to keep Kubiac. I am not a fan of ZBS. Schaub can still find AJ., Walter, OD and occasionally our middle school receiver with a smash mouth Oline. A power back like Gerhart would do well and even Slaton will excel with less attempts and some of the pressure off. Question is who replaces Kubes and I don't have an satisfactory answer.

It's a horrible feeling for sure, here we have 4 games left and nothing to fight for......love the idea for the smilie, so true.

The way this team's playing...

Since they know they still have a shot at the playoffs, they'll remove
all doubt by losing an "entertaining" game at HOME to the Seahawks to go
2-5 at Reliant this season.

We're not going to lose to a cellar dweller. Who do you think we are, the Steelers?

Cellar Dweller? They're not a cellar dweller. This team also has the same record as us. They're also the same team that beat Jacksonville 41-0(and the Jacksonville team we couldnt manage to beat this season).
