Our Playoffs start NOW!

Couldn't decide on the title of the thread...

Our Playoffs start NOW or We are in the Playoffs or Who to root for week to week....

If we lose one more game we are done! Thus the decision on the title ...
Plus we need a little help.

Looking at the remaining schedules for the Teams we are "in the hunt" with, here is who we need to root for this weekend. I know some of them are more than just wishful thinking but...

Buffalo over Jets
Indy over Tits (man I hate that team! I vomit a lil in my mouth every time I hear someone say Vince Young! but I digress)
KC over Denver
NE over Miami
Oakland over Pittsburgh
Green bay over Baltimore

So, realistically speaking, we could have 4 games go our way this week and start to thin the herd!

It is so very hard to cheer for Indy, but I think my loathing of the Titans will get me through it!:aggressive:

You're asking for a lot of upsets and the most likely one to happen is probably Tenn. over Indy. :headhurts:

go bills! i think the bills and packers can win.

hopefully oakland can beat pit, but i dont see that happening.

Well, the Jets are looking like they will pull this off tonight. I don't think there is much of a chance that the Broncos or Steelers lose this week. Not sure if it really matters whether the Dolphins win or lose since we still play them. I think the only teams we need to lose that probably will lose are the Ravens and Jags!

I agree with this. We don't control our own destiny even if we finish 10-6

A 9-7 team won't make the playoffs this year, but a 10-6 might. You right though, even going 10-6 we have to have help. I don't see us going 10-6, I do think there is a strong possibility of us going 9-7 IF, and that's a big if, IF we beat Jacksonville this Sunday. If we lose this Sunday, the season is over with and we might as well start the "offseason" threads.

Same for the Jags..both team have to win to stay in the wildcard position. Here is to a great game!

DAMN YOU FITZPATRICK!!!!:voodoo:

The Jets could be our nemisis for the rest of the season...
their remaining schedule is
Tampa ?
Falcons L (I hope)
colts L (I hope)
bengals L (I hope)

Has this franchise ever won 5 games in a row in it's entire history? I rest my case.

Hey, I'm as hopeful as the next fan that we pull it off, but I would be foolish to ignore my pragmatic nature when tempering what is possible with what is probable.

Screw being pragmatic.. It's time to go "all in".. :D

But of all the teams that haven't won five in a row, this team has been predicted to the most.*

*for my next trick, I'll attempt proper sentence structure.

Who cares about the Jets, they are the least of our issues in making the wildcard sport..

- Steelers
- Denver
- Jacksonville
- Titans
- Jets (last)

Our playoffs ended after the Titans game more like the Colts game but you know what I'm saying. You lose to the Colts and Titans after winning in both games then you do not deserve to go to the NFL playoffs.

Lets just hope Chris Brown doesn't have flashback to the first game vs the Kitties, and start crying on the sideline... or fumble at the goal line. :cry2::popcorn:

That would make my Sunday afternoon, to see history repeat it self. Slaton possible being out Sunday, hurts your running game. Mathis out on Jags secondary, allows the Texans to throw the ball deep. Jags just need to have long drives to sideline your offense. If not, the Texans will win.

LOL.

Oh wait, you're a Jags fan, I'm supposed to hate you. We will kick your ass this Sunday. Or not. With the Texans, there just ain't no tellin'.

Hey, you guys kick the Jags ass Sunday, all props to the Texans. If not, the Texans will have dropped 4 games in a row and swept by the Jags this season. The Texans should have beaten the Colts 2x's and the Titans, but **** happens. the Jags are so up and down... I don't know what to expect either. Here is to a great game. :cow::cow::cow::cow::cow::cow:

Lets say we beat Jacksonville on Sunday... Take it one step further and lets say we run the table and go 10-6...

How many tie breakers would we win with a 2-4 division record and 5 conference losses overall?

Granted but starting your push to the playoffs three weeks late is just so Houston Texans don't you think?

You know, there are people in Tennessee whose team started much worse than our did, but they're still rooting for their team to make the play-offs.

The Giants have had a worse string of losing games than we did, but they & their fans are still play-off hopeful.

I understand the frustration, I'm upset too. We didn't beat two of the hottest teams in the NFL today. Two of the 4 teams that nobody is beating right now.

But we can't give up now. Just like our team can't give up right now.

They have got to win every game from here on out. They have to learn to take it one game at a time.

The Titans and the Giants have had successful seasons, recently. Their fans have a history to backup their optimism (unfounded in this case, IMO).

The Texans have had a successful season...never. Their fans have a history to backup their pessimism (well-founded, IMO).

Is that you, Sybil?

The most likely* scenario is that we'll beat the Jags then lose to Seattle and the Rams.

(* In TexanWorld, that is...)

Thats my worry as well. The Raiders game from last season always keeps the thought in the back of my mind that they will lose to a crappy team. The Texans....... gotta love em'. :headhurts: :fans:

Nope. What will happen is we will win the next 4 games in a row and be 9-6 with a shot at the playoffs.

Then, we will face the Patriots, who will be resting their starters in a meaningless game, even though they don't have home-field advantage throughout or anything. At home, against the Pats back-ups, for advancement into the play-offs, WE WILL LOSE. Sorry.

...and Gary Kubiak will keep his job...because, hey, we won 4 outta the last 5!

That's actually my second most likely scenario. Most likely is we lose to Jax and then reel off 4 wins in a row....in which case we will destroy the Pats starters.........and I will still keep the pink soap that I will have acquired right after the Jax loss.

Probably not many. the biggest thing that happen in the last three weeks is that the texans for the most part took their playoff hopes out of their hands. It will now take playing well and having multiple teams play poorly to get make it.

ROFL you should see the giants radio stations in NYC.. ouch.. The Jets are getting ripped too, heck by their own coach even..
