WCCO.com reports the National Football league has suspended Minnesota Vikings RB Onterrio Smith for a year. The reason for Smith's suspension was not immediately released. He will miss all of the 2005 football season. The Star Tribune adds Smith has been excused from the team indefinitely because of a league matter, HC Mike Tice said this afternoon. "I really can't speak about any reasons why, or when he'll be back," Tice said after the last of this week's developmental practices at Winter Park. "It's in the league's hands, and we'll leave it at that."
 
Did they have D.A.R.E when this guy was in highschool? You know you have a problem when you won't give something up for a couple million dollars.
 
The reason for his suspension was missing a drug test after two prior offenses--I guess because his Whizzinator had been confiscated.

But on a serious note....how jacked up is that. Does he not have the bladder control to hold it until he gets to a restroom?? And I can understand the whole if you gotta go...you gotta go, but to whip it out while other people...especially females are in the elevator with you...thats just rude and absurd. Hope he realizes how much this will hurt him in the long run...wow, a whole year for urinating in an elevator...thats unbelievable.

Go read the article; this happened *last* year. His third strike was for something else, not peeing in the elevator. Sorry.
 
His third strike was the Whizzinator. He was caught in an airport with the device, and viles of dried urine. Infantrycak made a thread about it awhile back.
 
I heard the NFL was reviewing to see if his possession of the whizzinator was enough to be considered his third strike. When I learned of the suspension I assumed it was due to the whizzinator. Guess I'd better stop assuming when it comes to Smith. He seems to get into trouble quicker than I can keep up with. :brickwall
