Thanks for your support!

I am so done with this team

No fire??? from me.

I am just done.

Keep Kubiak, Shanahan, Bush, janitor, whoever.

This franchise simply refuses to take the training wheels off.

Call me back when they make the playoffs.

Adios.

I'm not done with the team, but, this is not a play-off caliber team. We need to stop kidding ourselves. This team might not make it to 8-8

This team doesn't know how to finish games off, or win at the end. Look at Indy. They have been behind in the 4th qtr 4 games in a row and each time they have won. That team knows how to win games. I truly believe there is a very fine line between Indy and Houston, but they know how to win and their GD FG kicker makes kicks when it counts.

Fire Kubiak. Fire Shanahan. Cut Brown. They simply don't have it.

You know I'm pretty pissed too, but see ya later, we don't need you. This is a solid team that needs the officials to stay the F out. There was one game this year that weren't winnable, and three that were so influenced by the officials that there should be a congressional investigation. If I still lived in Houston, I'd be following the Zebras to the airport and beating all thier asses right now.

Okay then done-guys. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

On second thought, let the door hit you. Really hard.

Right on. All the haters can suck it. At least the Texans give effort, if you're a shitty fan then good luck with that. Don't need you when we win again.

A running back stiff arms you? You grab that arm, use it as a handle and either break it or use it to slam him to the ground.

A QB runs up the middle at you? You turn your body into a missile and do your best to cripple him.

If a QB runs at you with impunity all game long you realize that you are paid a kings ransom to play a child's game for a living and decide rather you play the game for fortune or glory. If you play for fortune then you don't have a problem.

If you play for glory then you decide that you're playing that game for FREE and hit the SOB so hard that his grand children will be cursing you out decades from now because you hit him so hard that he doesn't know who he is any more. Guys who play for fortune get NOWHERE. Guys who play for glory get gold jackets, Lombardi trophies and rings. The Texans need to decide if they are mercenaries or glory hounds. Last I checked glory hounds win titles.
Just ask NBA fortune hunter Charles "Old Ringless" Barkley.

LOL! I like this guy! :bravo:

Exactly, our team left it all on the field tonight, and as choked as I am right now I will still support them. Fair-weather fans can take a hike.

Are you really upset with our effort tonight? We didn't lose from lack of trying.

This is still the youngest team in the NFL, with many of its key players
not yet even in their primes. I think you're quitting on them a year
too soon. I say bring everybody back next year, and watch them shine.
This year ain't over. They can still go 11-5.

i'm as close to jumping off an overpass as anyone right now, but there is no way i would suggest firing this staff. for as far as we've come in 3 and a half seasons, we WILL be that much farther as our youngest team in the NFL matures. for all the flaws, for all the poor decisions, we have built an outstanding base to build from. another coaching or management group may get more with less, but we're not done building and that's exactly what i see - building. kubiak doesnt miss fieldgoals in consecutive games, he doesnt throw a flag on an obvious non foul (horsecollar), he's not throwing the ball to player's knees all game, and he doesnt fumble in the redzone as we've done this season. i'm not willing to throw away what this group has done with next to nothing, in the hopes of trading a couple wins for a long term downturn.

our players and our coaches arent going anywhere. next season we'll still have pollard and mario and demeco and schaub and johnson and slaton and the rest as an extremely young and extremely talented group, and we'll have another offseason of insanely good drafting and accurate free agent movement to keep building. Not For Long - i plan on being a Texan for a VERY long time and i for one want 2009 to finish strong with an outside playoff chance, and each consecutive season to continue that building.

Solid team? What are you talking about? Solid teams don't choke at the end of four games when you have a chance to tie.

Stop the whining about the officials crap. The Texans got away with a trip on Young earlier in the quarter. It goes both ways. The officials didn't lose this game- we lost the game because we couldn't stop Young on third down and our offense, which put up 34 on these guys in Nashville, scored 17 points. Anyway you look at it, that's weak.

Tonight was the 1st domino in a total collapse. No excuses, bye week to prepare, and you knew what the Titans brought to the game. Stop their running attack, win the game. As much as I detest the referee's, we continue to allow them to affect the games by keeping it close enough for it too effect it. With the Colts, and Jaguars coming up, I don't hold out much hope for this team to rebound.

I have started the "Cut Andre Johnson" thread because he dropped a lot of balls. I also started the "Cut Shaub" thread because he was almost picked off. Oh and I started the "Cut #56" thread because he got blocked a couple of times. Last but not least I think we should get rid of Pollard for not knocking the piss out of more people.

This team serious needs to rebuild next year.

I really don't feel like we are running the ball enough. I mean yeah I know our running game isn't the best in the league but at the same time, it seems like we don't even give it a chance. We pass the ball so much that we don't tire the opposing defense as much as we tire our offense. In ever offensive series, we need to have at least one legit run play designed in there...I think Kyle just falls in love with the creativity the pass game can make but damn man...please, some toss plays, draws, or something ****.

"Horse Collar....15 Yard Penalty...1st Down!" Sorry...were we WATCHING the same game?!

The only guy I want gone ASAP is Chris Brown. The guy is big but doesn't play big at all. Instead of hitting the holes and running a defender over for a couple yards extra, he goes down like he's 195 and gets stood up or driven back every damn time.

I'd rather the goal line carries go to Slaton/Moats, at least they hit the hole with enough speed to make a guy miss. Brown is running right into them with no power and going straight to the ground everytime.

I think we can beat Indy. I think this game is the game that may kick some fire in these boys. They had it, but our kicker sucks major ass. MAJOR! I say 9-7 or 10-6 and miss the playoffs. We aren't going 8-8.

I for one am not done with this team. I never will be. Unless they pick up and move to Tennessee. I think that this team doesn't have is the ability to pull out a win. We just can't win close games. We have to beat the team by 2 scores going into the last 6 minutes of a game. I can't imagine a team being able to win in the playoffs if they can only win in that situation.

I think we have the components to build a playoff team, we just lack the ability to make our own luck.

Oh, and I officially hate Jon Gruden now. Anyone notice how on the "horsecollar" call, Mike and Jaws were saying what a bad call it was, but he had to say that it was such a great play. Yeah right. We had Chris Johnson stopped on that play.

Pretty sure Gruden meant great defensive play. He was agreeing it was a bad call.

Or the "tripping" on VY. Sorry, my memory sucks right now and I can't remember the tripper, but you would have thought he pulled a knife on VY. BTW, I still say it wasn't intentional, well, mostly....lol. If the situation were the other way Gruden would have said it was one of those things Pro's do and he got away with it.

ya i think gruden was the one talking about his dreds being so long. That he wouldve had to gone under neith his hair.

Dude what ever, Texans should have won this game plan and simple, u would think to have 2 freakin weeks to prepare for the this game they would have figured out that u should spy VY. Just disgusting, i think i saw 1 play where VY got legitimate pressure, more stupid penalties and dont even blame the refs cause there should have been a trippin call against houston.

DR played horrible,
Bo Scaiffe was open all night,
K. Brown has lost it,
Was Moats hurt or inactive, that would have been a nice change of pace,
To many passes and not enough runs, you need actual runs to make the play action successful,
No real pressure on VY,
On options why are all 3 linbackers respondin, leave one spying on the opposite side,
Shaub threw alot of bad passes,
where in the ____ is MW, it would be nice if he showed up, dline as a hole was horrible agaisnt the pass and gettin pressure,

I will be cancelling my Sunday ticket, I am still a Texans fan and will be for life but the money I shell out to watch the Texans is not worth the product they put out on the field right now.

Agreed. That "tripping" looked incidental to me and apparently the officials got ONE right. Although that shot to the head that he took wasn't really called for...and I REALLY don't like the guy but can admit that.

I say we need to fire the guy I got my beer from in the 3rd quarter (not the first beer, the second one). It was definitely not filled to the brim. There was room for another bit. You know who you are, too. I'm watching you.

Fire Kubiak. Fire Shanahan. Cut Brown. They simply don't have it.

i support the fire of kubes ONLY if we know we can get

Shanhann or Cower

if we know we can get them i would say FIRE KUBES RIGHT NOW !!!!!!!!!

I was ticked last night and I posted right after the game. The fact is I'll continue to cheer for the Texans like I always do. It's just a game- no need for my doom and gloom. I've never started a thread like this before, and I plan not to again. Just got caught up in the heat of the moment. You guys are right- this team will eventually be successful, and I plan to be there when they do. Sorry you had to read my drivel.

Funny he just may be the Texans coach next year.

I'm not really upset with "the team." What upsets me is, although I have nothing against Mario, we really did draft the wrong guy. He might be clueless and he might not be a "real QB," but VY would have won us SBs. It pains me to say that for quite a few reasons, but it has become painfully obvious. When Manning is through ruling our division, VY will do it. I'm just as guilty as anyone not thinking VY would make it in the pros, but I see that Casserly screwed us over one last time.

Don't get me wrong. Williams will be every bit as good at his position, but he doesn't play QB and is therefore not as important.

VY doesn't impress me, actually. I see him as a jock, if ya know what I mean. I've explained it before--recently, in fact. I'm more impressed with your average Joe--seriously. BUT, he will win and win and irritate the Hell out of anyone with half a brain, because those with a wise conscience hate this kind of thing. It's like one of those Psalms about how a fool's success burns the soul of....whatever--you get the picture. Long story short, VY will be the final death of my interest in sports....if the refs don't kill it first.

It's so sad to see us fans putting more effort and support for our Texans than the players themselves....Us Houstonians have been cursed:gun:

Sorry, but Vince Young scares me. You can call him any negative name under the sun, but I just couldn't see him walking out of Reliant Stadium without a win unless we were up at least two touchdowns with a minute left in the game. Thank goodness for the delay of game penalty, and thank goodness Vince seemed angry and temporarily lost focus because of the previous play when he fumbled. Kris Brown should not have missed that or those field goals, but the way Vince plays, it could have only delayed the inevitable.

The Texans will always be the team that I will support over the Titans, perhaps it's the USC flashbacks and his first game in Reliant, but the thought of VY on a mission is scary, especially when it involves somethink near and dear to me.

After seeing how things played out and the intensity of last night, a true rivalry should have been born.

Vince is soooooo great he used his magical winning powers to put a trance on Dunta Robinson so Dunta would drop an easy interception on a terrible pass, and then when that wasn't enough, he used his super dooper magical winning powers to make Kris Brown miss not one but TWO FG attempts.

Yeah, Vince just wins.

We are a fanbase conditioned for .500.

Be that as it may be, this is the only pro football team in Houston. I cannot betray my city and I'm an NFL fan, so I'm stuck with this crap for the long haul, fairweather fans/.500 football and all.

Such is life.

*sigh*

The exact words I used when my team started 0-6. :(
