So during Tricky Dicky Smith's tenure in our fair city, both Safeties were supposed to do kind of the same things. The Safeties were supposed to be interchangeable, if I remember correctly they were just assigned to each side of the field, sort of like "Zone Safeties".
I thought I heard that Bush's scheme was similar in this regard. So now that we have Pollard, who is obviously more of a true Strong Safety, have the Texans changed the scheme at all? I must say I think that Pollard's coverage skills seem to be better than reported when he arrived.
Has anyone heard if the Texans have adjusted to his strengths/weaknesses, or have the Texans gotten away from the "Zone Safety" concept since Bush got the nod as DC?
