Texans are for real

It is kind of an interesting point though.
Schaub / Manning (statistically of course)
Daniels / Clark
Johnson / Wayne
Williams / Freeny

You could make the argument that there are quite a few similarities.

And I'm drinking the Texans' Kool-Aid.

But Houston, no longer the red-headed stepchild of the AFC South, is primed to win 10 games this season no matter what happens in Indy.

Welcome aboard the bandwagon Adam!

In other news (from further down the article);

"Donovan McNabb made C.C. Brown look like the street free agent he was before Kenny Phillips got hurt."

To me what is exciting is the realization that they can get a whole lot better. This will be the first draft I've looked forward to without panic that we will get the pick wrong. As the current roster gets better each week, I find myself re-working my board. For example the DTs are stopping the run. I had given up hope that this crew would ever turn off the faucet as they have. Yeah if the "right" DT is there sure select him, but no panic if we don't pick one. unning back is my conundrum now. I have been pushing a power back like Gerhart and still would love to have that type on the roster but Moats looked really good. One game sure, but 5.5 ypc? Reminds me of the thread I had before last draft. I asked if two Slaton types could rip up some yards. I was looking at Texas running back Jammaal Charles. This could turn into a very fun season.

On that note,

"Mario Williams is the answer to Dwight Freeney"

Mario wishes

No way. Maybe we don't have the answer for Bob Sanders but Mario is definitely at or above Freeney's level. Wayne, being a damn fine receiver isn't the all around elite badass AJ is. Schwables is a great QB but I have no questions about Five-head's QB skillz.

This will be a hell of a match between to teams that finally have comparable talent.

Our division looked pretty strong this past weekend. We played a good (good, not great) team and won convincingly.

The Colts found a way to win against a highly motivated NFL darling team.

Tennessee looks as though they found "it" again. & MJD looks like his old self again.... of course they were playing each other... but both teams looked strong.... offensively which is different.

But still, a good showing of the AFC South.

I dont care about that We are the Kings of the AFC south NOW and we prove it this SUnday when we smash Teh Colts :texflag:

Please. The next time Freeney stops a rush it will be be the first.

Freeney hasn't made 30 tackles in a season since '03. Mario's got 20 already.

Just my opinion, I wasn't expecting many to agree with me. I'll take Freeney's sacks over Mario's tackles this year.

Mario isn't getting the numbers, but he is a more complete DE at this point. Freeney is a better pass rusher, but thats it.

One of the neatest things about this is that we usually get better as the season gets further along. Just the thought of getting better gives me goose bumps.....Seriously.

can you think of any way to lose this game, where the "fandome" won't be calling for Kubiak/Frank Bush's head?

I can't. It's like we honestly believe we should win every game.

The Gary Kubiak Texans always seem to play their best ball when their
backs are against the wall. Sunday is a "Respect Game." These guys
have been salivating for this game since the beginning of their season.
It's good that they are going into Indy while playing their best ball.
They've won 4 out of 5, and dominating some good teams during
that run. If they were to lay an egg, it wouldn't be this one. This
may as well be a "Monday Night Football" game with as much on the
line for the Texans

This is a trap game for the Colts, but definitely not for the Texans. I think
we'll see the best game this team's got.

Hey, I haven't been back to this forum since last season!

The Texans look like they've got a real football team to be reckoned with this year. You guys miss Sage? LMAO!

Do me a favor, whip up on Indy, ok? And good luck throughout the rest of 2009!

Thanks. I think everyone's rooting for us this weekend.

Exactly. Even if we lose, if we can make the Colts sweat until the final minute, that's got to be worth some respect.

Screw respect for a moral victory, I want wins. They can disrespect us all the way to the Super Bowl for all I care.

Win your division. That's the first goal. That's the best way into the playoffs.

6-3 Texans and a 7-1 Colts, and I'd say we were in the running.
