They are keeping Fitzpatrick under center, who if I remember correctly LIT us up a few years back at home when he was with the Rams.

We have to win this game heading into what could be one of the biggest games in Texans history vs the Colts. If we can keep this streak rolling into the bye week I like our chances on the backend of the schedule.

I hope Fitzpatrick doesn't find some of that magic he had a few years ago.
 
Despite the fact that we beat Fitzpatrick just last season, what is it that makes people think the 2005 Texans' defense has any relevancy at all to our defense this season?

That's such a silly line of thought I can't even comprehend it.

Because earlier this season our defense was playing worse than the 2005 season.

On the same note though, yesterday's game and that game against St. Louis in 2005 are perfect when trying to show how as a team we have improved. Even last year we would've let SF get away with a win in that same scenario. Defense stepped up and made the one play they had to in order to win.
 
The Bills, despite being horrible, have one 2 in a row and are still technically in the hunt at 3-4. I think next week we take them out of it.:fans:

It is silly, but while the team may not have any ties to that 2005 team, some of us fans still feel the sting. About thirty seconds into the second half yesterday, I had this foreboding feeling. The 49ers switched QBs, and I just knew, deep down, we were screwed. You see, I've been conditioned. Not only do the Texans find ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, they have a knack for making QBs look better than they really are (Fitz that year, Brunell, even Sanchez this year).

So it's going to take several more clutch victories by the team to overcome the conditioned response they've instilled in me.

Yeah it really has nothing to do with this Sunday's game at all. I realize our D has stepped up to the tune of giving up under 50 yards rushing/game, but Alex Smith's near comeback against the Texans and that 05 Rams game gave me the same feeling. Games we should have put away that come back to haunt us.

I guess that's what we get as a Texans fan. We have more "remember when we almost won, but...
A) We couldn't score from the 1
B) We couldn't score from the 1
C) Rosenfels pulled a Transformer and turned into Rosencopter

more than "remember when we...
A) Tied the game with no time left when Chris Brown ran over 3 people
B) Won the game with no time left when Chris Brown jumped over 3 people
C) Rosenfels filled in for Schaub and lead us to glory

It will all be forgotten when we say "remember when the Texans had 10 straight seasons of playoff football and won back-to-back Super Bowls against the Cowboys."

Naw . . . instead he's throwing to the likes of Terrell Owens, Lee Evans, Josh Reed, and Roscoe Parrish.

If we give Fitzpatrick the same amount of time to throw as we did Alex Smith, we are going to get LIT UP!
 
I'm glad Fitzpatrick lit us up in that game because for it, we got Mario Williams. Everything happens for a reason.:tiphat:
