JaMarcus Russell is a big fat stupid baby who sucks at playing football

The only player who refused to play along was the one player who got benched, and that's franchise quarterback JaMarcus Russell.

"I don't think it's me personally, I really don't," Russell said. "It's a bad combination of one guy doesn't do something right one time. Personally, I don't think so.

"Do you?"
so he goes out and JaMarcuses it up against the Jets (31.1 passer rating) and gets destroyed in a massive shutout, and accepts NO blame at all for it.

awesome.

So yeah, what else is new?:drunk:

Seriously though, he makes Leaf look like Manning. This guy is just that bad and shows no effort to do anything about it. Doubt that will change as long as Davis still has a man-crush on him.

was he still wearing the big diamond stud on his ear with the stupid Raiders ski hat?

the guy just exudes laziness and unprofessionalism. he reminds me of Roy Williams on the Cowboys. has the physical tools but no drive, no desire, no passion, no intensity, no hustle, no nothing.

both guys have some of the worst body language as well and that stuff matters. if your highest paid players are loafing and don't show that they care, why would you care either?

Russell is a multi-millionaire because of the Sugar Bowl. plain and simple.

yeah, sadly we still have plenty of GM's and scouts who think winning a bowl game in college means ANYthing when it comes to a player's pro potential. i've said since Vince Young that it's a silly argument, there's no correlation between winning in college and winning in the NFL.

Vince Young's rookie success helped Russell's draft status and allure as well. Russell wasn't as much of a fatass when he was at LSU. He was forced to work out and compete for his job there. He had some escapability and one of the strongest arms to enter the draft in years. With the Raiders, he is just a fat rich kid. When he was benched, they showed him on the sideline and he was cutting up and smiling with a teammate. Smiling? Down by 5 possessions, you get beat up, then benched and you are smiling? That told me all I needed to know about that guy. Million dollar arm and a Dollar Menu brain.

to VY's defense, he had a much larger canvas of success in college than Russell did. VY won 2 Rose Bowls a Big 12 Championship game and a few high profile matchups. Russell pretty much had the Sugar Bowl and that was it.

I ain't piling on you guys. We had our own Dollar Menu quarterback for 5 years. It sucks and its a perfect example of why there needs to be a rookie salary cap. Unproven guys are making too much money which doesn't leave enough money to retain and reward veterans that can actually play the game.

I think we can all get behind that idea.

well that just proves my point further. winning bowl games with tons of talent around you in an offense that's nowhere near an NFL offense with a TON more depth and TONS of cupcakes on the schedule just doesn't translate to NFL wins at all. you can be dumb at the QB position in college and win games, because you're just throwing balls to good receivers against DB's who have awful fundamentals and technique.

Russell was obviously something no one has ever seen before at the quarterback position, and that always gets people buzzing. they want to be on the vanguard of finding that "next big thing." instead of drafting something we've never seen before in a quarterback, here's a novel idea: draft something we've seen a thousand times that's worked a thousand times before.

This is one of those very few times I can toot my own horn about being correct. I never thought he was that good at LSU and knew he'd flop in the NFL.

It's still early for him, but I'm not sure he's smart enough to learn what it takes to be an NFL player, much less QB.

He's rich, so he's got that going for him.

Totally agree with you. Russell is a bust, everyone in the NFL knows he is a bust, Raiders fans know he his a bust, I wouldn't be surprised if his team mates think of him as a bust; but only one person still believes in him...and that one person is the reason why the Raiders are where they are right now. I'll let you guys guess .

Bob Hope?

If Bob Hope is a 80 year (although he could pass as 100) old senile undead thing that is an owner of a dysfunctional NFL franchise...then yes...your right .

Why are we talking about Bud Adams in a thread about the Raiders??? :hides:

Edit: Crap, I wasted my 4,000 post on typing Bud Adams. Now that just sucks.

I dunno, but I'm pretty sure Bob Hope went to the big homecoming in the sky many, many years ago ?

I knew from the get-go that JaMarcus Russell was highly overrated and would struggle for at least 4-5 years. Going to the Raiders didn't help either and now the Raiders fans have to suffer because there owner who still thinks and lives in the past.

What I suggest to Raider nation is boycott the team because that's going to bite Al in the ass when he gets no revenue coming in.

On a second thought, there's always the UFL for scrubs like Russell and VY!

Jamarcus Russell evidently has sent a letter to every NFL team asking them to give him a second chance. He has told them that he is even willing to play for free.:spy:

Ah Ja-Carcass, fat boy would eat the whole breakfast buffet and that 'play for free' deal will get expensive real fast.

Just say that he's totally sincere and he's cleaned up his life and wants to play again. He is still never going to play QB again.

Can he play RT?

Can he make a 15-yard throw upside down between his legs consistently? Vet minimum for a few years beats nothing.
