JJ's Dance?

@rolisrgti06
Ok. Now that we have had our armchair GM sessions and have analyzed the game ad nauseum....

What was that dance JJ did after his TD? That was hilarous. I still laugh every time I see it. Ranks right up there with Oakland's 12th man pigeon yesterday.:spit:

I believe the kids call it the "Stanky Leg"

I dont know what was up with that dance.....but i cant wait til David Anderson or Jacoby Jones scores a touchdown on Monday Night Football. Then the national audience can see some real moves.

TD celebrations are fun and as long as it means we are scoring TDs I'm all for it.

I don't know if that was the "Stanky Leg" because his leg was way to straight.

The one that got me was the game before when he used both hands to ouline a female (I hope) curvy body then gave a hand slap to the um derierre. Thought NFL would fine him for sure.

Via Rich Eisen's twitter:

Mystery revealed! RT @RealRell5 the dance Jacoby Jones was doing was from the Temptations movie when they were performing my girl

I'm really liking JJ at WR.

I laughed hard at that TD dance when it happened. Looked like his version of a Spanish Flaminco dance or something.

Rich Eisen and the NFL Network Crew didn't know what to make of it.

JJ please stick to the dance you had during the Oakland game!

I second that.........the last "dance" reminded me of sick flamingo losing its balance.
If you rewatch the Oakland game, at the tale end you can see Demeco trying to do the dance too. Almost like he wanted JJ to show him. So even teammates like the first dance.

I don't care what people think about endzone dancing but if you can get the right one to stick, the team and the whole city will get behind it and chemistry really can develop. Remember the dirty bird?

Ernest Givins' electric slide is my all-time favorite.
That's way back when players had signature celebrations that would be named and you could expect to see them every time they scored. Billy Whiteshoes is the one that always comes to mind first, and he never changed it.

Today's players have ADD-celebrations and are always trying to outdo each other. That part gets a little stale to this old fan.

I agree with that. Everybody talks about Chad so much but Billy White Shoes and Ernest Givins really were the best at it.

I like it when they jump into the stands, Lambeau Leap style. I haven't seen even AJ do that in quite a while, and he did it the most. Although it didn't happen often in the first couple of years with Carr throwing the ball, we dubbed it the "Bull Rush". Seems to have died, though. Too bad.

This got me thinking.

Remember when the Oilers hosted the Falcons and Givins and Rison had their dance fight?

Rison scored a TD, and did a half-ass Electric Slide, then motioned as if he was pushing the dance aside - then did his dance which I can't recall the name of.

Oilers won handily, if I remember correctly.

I remember that game. All was quiet until Childress smacked Bobby Hebert and caused a fumble that we returned for a TD. Then the offense got involved and Webster Slaughter had a few TDs.

Go Texans!
I always got a kick out of Merton Hanks' dance. ALWAYS. It was so freaking goofy and unnatural. And I bet it absolutely made opponents and opposing fans very angry when he did it.

Kelly Washington's dance (Bengals) is awesome, too. Very skilled he is.

But my favorite "recent" dance is either David Anderson's string dance or Warren Sapp's Beyonce dance. Warren reminds me of Big Worm from the movie "Friday." LOL LOL LOL.

As a Houston fan, the Electric Slide was always cool to see. Givins would bust that out after a TD, and it always made me feel like I just scored the TD, too. As a kid, I would do that dance all the time when playing schoolyard ball.

I also remember Haywood Jeffires' Nestea Plunge. Pretty funny, until the time he did it forward and I thought he broke his face.

I used to always do the Givins Electric Slide when I played football with friends... and I practiced the ball spin endlessly.

What was that celebration that Deion Sanders used to do? Does anyone have a link to a video of it?

Ah, Football!
I just thank the Lord that the players haven't tried the Texan_Bill dance with the goal post......yet.
