Animated .gif of AJ retiring three Cardinals defensive backs at one time

GP

Go Texans!
I think this ranks up there with that catch he had vs. Cincy (at Cincy) several years ago...where he catches the ball over the deep middle, and three Cincy backs hit him all at once, and AJ emerges to run for a TD.

I wish I had that video.

Alas, here's my animated .gif (Major "Thank you" to False Start and JDizzle for giving me insight on how to do this).

Here's the Dunta .gif in a little more "real speed."

I actually think the AJ .gif looks best in regular speed, and the OD and Dunta .gif look better in slow-motion.

They all look close to double-speed for me. Real-time is closer to this one (checked by game clock on screen):

Yours is going at least twice that.

Reminds me a little of how Earl Campbell punished D when he ran. Of course not as physical as Earl but AJ is WR and for WR with this kind of power is just insane.

GO AJ!!!

brakos:

I wonder if it's a deal with different browsers?

In Safari (on my Mac) my AJ gif looks like normal speed and yours looks like somewhere around 1/2 or 3/4 speed for some reason.

I have a MacBook Pro that's only two years old, top of the line laptop. So it can't be a deal with my system's speed/processing.

I dunno. I'm using Firefox on a new (< 3 mos) Windows Vista. I think it might be a browser issue, because I know IE shows a max of about 20fps (:shades: displays slowly on IE). I have it coded so there's 100ms per second of game clock, so not sure.

If any of you could, let us know what each of our AJ gifs look like.

List your browser name (Explorer, FireFox, Safari, etc.) and if my gif looks like regular full-motion speed and if Brakos' looks full-motion speed.

Just curious to see what turns up.

cant you make them bigger and lighter?

its too dark for me...
but its still nice.

Dunta's is dark because that side of the field was in a shadow. Was my AJ clip also darker than it should be?

Making it bigger would increase the size of the file. A bigger file size means it takes people longer to watch it, because it takes longer for your computer to download it from the Internet (the file is on a website called photobucket).

Mine are 150 pixels wide, which I felt was the best size. 120 was too small, and 200 was too big...in terms of file size versus the size of it on our computer screens.

now that is nice.....like those moving avatars......esp Dre's.....reminded me of 34...campbell back in the day....for sure....

I'm on firefox.

The first one looks like a fastforward cartoon. I just need some goofy music and the players squeaking when they talk to make it complete.

Dunta was still kind of fast compared to how I imagine the real speed.

brakos AJ seemed closest to TV speed.

Hadn't realized 'til seeing this fantastic gif that Vonta Leach leaned over Bryant McFadden and whispered: "You got knocked the ******* out, punk!"

FireFox plays clips differently than in Explorer and Safari.

Clips play slower in Explorer and Safari. Faster in Firefox.

So someone watching my clip of AJ, in Explorer or Safari, is going to get a slower-motion playback with the way I have it now.

Watching my clip in FireFox is going to appear that it's running faster or maybe even in actual speed.

Therefore, if I give someone in Explorer and/or Safari a true-speed display of the AJ catch...it's going to look like Speedy Gonzales in FireFox.

So I need to make it look good for Firefox and suffer a slower-motion playback in other browsers. More people here are using FireFox than I expected.

BTW, these look MUCH MUCH better when viewed in FireFox. Explorer plays them slower. Safari is probably the worse of the three, but it sounds like not many people are using Safari.

Final versions of all three gifs, if anybody wants to copy or use them:
