Yep, and good for them. Their fans have suffered for way too long. Nice to see them have what appears to be a complete team.

Being that I am a Giants fan also I keep switching back and forth from the Texans game. From what I have seen the Giants defense cannot solve the Saints offense. Despite all the injuries in the secondary for the Giants, that is still pretty impressive because the Giants D is pretty good.

I am kicking myself because I forgot to login and update my FF team this week. I have Drew Brees and forgot to move him back to starter. I am stuck with Joe Flacco who isn't having a good day today.

I also have Ricky Williams in and as you know the Dolphins are off this week so I got screwed there also.

Q: How do you stop the Saints?

A: Give the ball to Reggie Bush

even on a team as dynamic as the Saints, Bush can't do anything.

I noticed on the stats that David Carr had 76 yards and a TD. When did he come into the game? Was Manning hurt or benched?

I'll wait until the second half of the season before I start singing the Saints praises. How many times have they looked good only to crash and burn late in the season?

It's just an illusion. They got some bad Mojo... won't never be no good. :voodoo:
"Howard Johnson is right!"

Sorry I had to work a Blazing Saddles allusion in there. Thunderkyss is right on this one. The Saints are just LUCKY and that luck will soon run out. Mark my words. They beat the Giants. So what. The Giants were a paper champion who only got a title two years ago because Tom Brady and the Pats assumed all they had to do was show up to the Superbowl to be crowned champions.

They fell pray to Bum Phillips' Law: "Any team...can beat any other team...on any given Sunday." He went on to say something else about Blue Ribbon Sausage I think, but the point is. The G-men and their overrated/over paid QB didn't win a Superbowl, New England Lost it and they were the beneficiaries.
New Orleans beat a team which is RELATIVELY tough by NFC standards. I'm not impressed. The best team in the NFC BARELY beat the Texans last week and only won because of Matt Schaub's last second boneheaded interception. The Saints are a good team in the WEAKER of the two conferences which is akin to being the prettiest girl in Petroleum County, Montana. So vuggin' what? Who's your competition? Your mother, cousin Clara, grandma and Becky from a couple miles down the road? The Saints are a house of cards that will soon fall.

too often for my liking...

I can recall 3 in recent memory - 1991 (started 7-0, finished 11-5, out in first round of playoffs); 1993 (started 5-0, finished 8-8); and 1998 (started 3-0; finished 6-10)

and references to these years are starting to pop up as reminders to us that history has not been kind to the Saints

there are no guarantees

Ah, Football!
Hmm, let's see here.....Passing game - Check.....Running game - Check......Defense - Check.

They appear unstoppable at this point of the season. We'll see how it plays out, they've got a few tough games ahead of them.

As long as they keep Brees upright and bombing away they'll be lethal on offense.

I think right now they're the best team in the whole NFL.

I was in New Orleans this weekend the whole state is going nuts over the Saints. I don't know if they will crash and burn because they look pretty solid and the improvement of the defense has more to do with it than anything. I think it was genius hiring Gregg Williams.

I was listening to the post game show on the radio and I thought Bobby Hebert was going to spew on himself he was so excited about the Saints.

The Saints are certainly good, but I want to see how the react when hit with a little adversity. They've been injury-free so far and had a somewhat favourable schedule. The last two games were the tougher ones and those were at home. That being said, if there is one team I won't mind winning it all, it would be this team. Those fans deserve some sunshine in their lives.
