Well, last week is over and done with...nuthin we can do about it...:rake:

Anyways, now it's time to start getting ready for Cincy...so let's get ready to take a look at this upcoming match-up...

Everyone leave your thoughts...I'll post mine as well coming soon, but for now I'll just say I believe we have a good chance to win this game...

Oh and everyone if you wanna see what they are thinking or want to give your input, here is the Bengals fans forum:

This is probably our toughest match-up of the year so far. We better learn to play consistent for a whole game or we are going to get embarrased.

This is a pretty big game for us this year. 3-3 or 2-4, and we still have to play the Colts twice.

If we don't win the next two games the season is likely over with given the fact we still have two games against the colts..

Bengals - tough game
49ers - could be another tough game
Colts - tough game
Bills - we should win..

We could very well be 3-6 at the end of this year, the only wins I feel comfortable about from here on out are the bills, rams, and seahawks..

Did we switch to a 9 game season? Its tough to project anything in the NFL, injuries and momentum can drastically change the makeup of any given team any given week.

double ouch

Luck gets you to 2-3. Luck gets you a game against Crazy Al's Raiders and the Titans in a slump. Otherwise the Texans would be 0-5. I mean, you lost to the Jags. The Jags, for Pete's sake. They just got shut out by Seattle.

Of all the teams in the league, the Bengals should understand the Texans fans plight more so than anyone.

They have immature adults who suddenly got their headman back. That headman has whipped them into a consistent playing shape on the field by being the general that he is.

The Texans are a young inconsistent team, who still need to grow that veteran mentality that comes with playing football games.

The Bengals Special Teams sucks as I'm sure you all already know....

I'm sure that's going to hurt them a lot more than it did against the Browns cuz we have a pretty good ST and unlike them we have an offense that can put up points....especially with good field position....

Remember this?

-Jacoby isn't Cribbs, but he is one of the best returners in the league, he's a game-changer and should have some success against their ST

-I'm pretty sure Schaub is better than DA...

I already feel great about Schaub with his weapons and now I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what we can do against that "shut down" (23rd) pass defense....:dancer:

No disrespect to Massaquoi who was a beast in college, but AJ is already a beast in the NFL...

Every QB we have faced so far is better than DA, and one of them has two SB rings. So saying Schaub (who I actually like) is better than DA is not saying much.

And yet still it took the final seconds to beat them...This QB has more weapons in the passing game for that defense....

Everyone is mentioning our Rush D ranking...The Browns have the worst rush D and had enough opportunites to win that game and lost in OT...So many of these Bengals fans think this is a cakewalk...Just wait and see....:fans:

We were favored vs. the Browns, and we flushed them down.
U flushed them down? I guess that means you struggled and barely won...:choke:

The Texans are 1-3 against Cincinnati.

Turns out, you don't. And you won't. :whip:
:user:....Yeah, and only one of those games is against this current squad...the one from last season...

4 out of 5 teams the Bengals have played are run first teams - Denver, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Baltimore with Green Bay being a little more apt to passing even with their atrocious pass protection which gave Antwan Odom 5 sacks.

This will be the most dynamic passing attack the Bengals have faced all year and while Schaub won't have a field day he should comfortably be able to put up enough points to win this one.

I love the Texans in this spot. This is a must win for this team and the Bengals are coming off of 3 straight games in which they won by a total of 9 points. These close emotional games (all in the division) have to have taken a toll on this team and I don't see them getting up for a 2-3 non-divisional opponent coming in. This should bode well for the Texans, if and only if they carry over their 2nd half performance from the Arizona game where they held the opposing offense to 0 points and scored 21.

Both of these team's records could be a lot different. Is it luck, talent, coaching, or something else? Whatever it is the Texans haven't had it and the Bengals have. That will change Sunday.

This is a huge game for the Texans that could change the rest of the season.

I like the Texans in this spot to cover and win the game.

Let's get it DONE!

Lordy, you are touchy. Point by point:
"The Browns have the worst rush D and had enough opportunites to win that game and lost in OT" The only thing that matters here is that they did not win. Why, because every team we beat had every opportunity and did not. The Broncos are the only ones, and that opportunity was a fluke at best.

Cakewalk? Who said anything about a cakewalk?

Yes, I'm aware of that... You guys are 4-1, but just could be 5-0 or just as easily be 0-5.... You can also be 4-2 come Sunday and I believe you will.

 Some don't believe it will be close at all and the majority that I've heard at one of Bengals fans forums is that Bengals will shut us down and practically dominate the game and only a few even expect it to be competitive.

This is from another thread I made....

X factor might be the effectiveness of the run game for both teams, but the great equalizer for us, is our special teams, the Bengals coverage teams BLOW.

The Bengals allow 12.5 return average on Punts (30th Place), and 24.7 yards average on Kicks (23rd place).

The Texans are first in Kickoff return average with 18.7, and 4th in Punt return allowed with 4.4 yards per punt.

_________________________________________

Texans average 25.7 yards per Kick Return, good for 5th place, and 6th in Punt Return averaging 12.5 yards per return.

If this was the B/S forum I would be buying a Jones TD.
That right there can be a huge difference in the game since Cincy's ST sucks....

I recall Jacoby ran one back last yr. against this team and that can very well happen again because they still suck. :specnatz:

I disagree, I think we'll be 5-1. I am a fan after all.

Those who say cake walk are-a fools.
