Sure that loss was tough today however seeing Bud Adams' team go 0-5 should cheer up any Houston fan.

I am very willing to cheer myself up by enjoying other's misery. Go Colts!

I agree with Hookem that the Colts are going to run away with the division, so we might as well root for them and work on that wildcard spot.

That defense doesn't work without Haynesworth. If I'm Adams I let VY run the wildcat and the option the rest of the season just to keep the fans happy.

The issues with this team go a lot deep deeper than losing Haynesworth. The stench of the playoff loss last season clearly NEVER left the locker room, and it has manifested itself in that garbage we all witnessed tonight. They are as undisciplined as any team in the NFL, and this is with the most tenured coach in the league. That says a lot.

Fisher has probably lost the team and it's time for him to move on. As I mentioned in your forum it's hard to believe how long Fisher has stayed there considering how often Bud fired coaches in Houston, even good ones. No one ever accused Bud Adams of hanging on to a coach too long when he was in Houston. He had some bad ones for sure but they didn't stay around long.

Of course maybe his keeping Fisher all these years is a result of him firing Bum Phillips. He alienated his fan base in Houston after firing Phillips and he never did live that down. Fisher has been popular in Nashville for most of his time there and maybe Bud didn't want to repeat that again. However now that Fisher is losing the fans Bud will probably let him go. That's just a theory however it makes sense to me.

No doubt. I know a lot of people were hoping with the change in the coaching staff they might stumble. Not so much luck now. I think we're going to be battling at 3 AFC north teams and 2 AFC East teams for that final spot. Show down next week with Cinci.

I think the biggest loss wasn't Haynesworth. It was losing Jim Schwartz.

That and the Kerry we all knew before last year showed back up. Sad considering he looks like he has a legit WR in Britt.

boy Manning is about to get his 3rd MVP
Yep.

The Titans got old. And where they are not old, they are really really young. It wasn't a problem last year when they won a bunch of games but is a big problem right now. Injuries in the secondary doesn't help either, but they aren't getting the type of insane pressure from their front four that they used to.

Hook, I have to take exception with your comment regarding Fisher losing the team. He is a pretty one dimensional coach, at times, but he has his hand firmly on the pulse of the team. I think at times he doesn't stress discipline, pertaining to stupid penalties, ala Finnegan. In all seriousness, Fisher IS a player's coach, imo.

I think they just lost players. No matter who was in on offense their identity was their defense. Haynesworth made it where QBs got pressure up the gut and had to flee outside. That is where Van Den Bosch and others got their sacks. And of course this helps any secondary. They don't have that push and things have been bad.

Haha, just seeing Mariucci claiming that the Titans are still in the playoff hunt, to which Michael Irvin responded, "What hunt you in at 0-5?!".

Means only one thing, start VY time, and complete the Tacks implosion.

While I have to admit reveling in the Titans misery, it is tempered by the fact that I know that the Titans organization will probably rebound and put together another great team before the Texans put together their first winning season. I hate that feeling.
