Will Leitch on Texans-Cardinals

As always Texans Chick a very good article. :)

I disagree with him a tad where he states that for one of these teams, their season could be overwith this Sunday. For the Cards, that may be true, but not for the Texans. I don't think the Texans make the playoffs no matter what happens this Sunday, but I do think it will hurt their chances on their first winning season.

Ok read. I picked this game as a loss with three wins to follow, at first. Now, I think I see a victory after spending the last few days looking at weaknesses and strenghs. If we don't hand the Cards two quick TDs to put us in a hole, I think the D steps up.

That would be sweet...I yearn for the day that the front 4 start getting to the QB. I don't think we are there yet by any means, but I think the pressure has been much better than the past. I want to let myself believe that Smith and Okoye are "getting it", but have been here too long to long to buy into that quite yet.

You have to feel like the LB corps is getting stronger and more confident with every snap.

Dunta has his pre-season under his belt. Reeves comes back this week. Pollard has two weeks of practice and a game under his belt. All of the young guys have taken their lumps and learned some lessons the first four games. I am just hoping that we have enough options back there now that we can find a serviceable combination.

LOL, the RDC comment was funny. Hopefully, RDC doesn't run his mouth to AJ like Finnegan did up in Bumblescum Mountain, lest he be put in his place too!

I like RDC actually, but I hope AJ burns him up all day long! I'm looking for AJ to put up some Madden-esque stats Sunday because I think we are gonna need some big down the field throws IF AZ's offense is clicking on the other side.

On a side note, I wish there could be some way that AJ and Fitz could do some kind of competition before or after the game to settle who is the best WR undisputed. Kinda like a homerun derby for baseball. Maybe have them play like a game of horse. Each QB and WR tandem do plays and whoever can't matech loses. O well, I can dream though! :bender:

Spike I agree with your assessment. I think Smith's tiff with Kollar put him off. He admits to being a highly emotional person & did not respond well to the coach's gibes. I think he is now reverting to himself. If only he would revert to himself of 2007 where he got some sacks. We now have an emotional player who can blow up a play. Cushing. DR was fiery and could occasionally lay the wood but Brian is a whole 'nother beast. He is demonstrative unlike AJ. We saw what happened when our fav WR came to blows with a certain CB recently but most expect that emotional volcano to cool down. I think Mario, Diles and Okoye will continue to feed off this take it to the river hell cat.
