How many time was Andre targeted in second half?

He's the best player on the field. Why does he disappear from the offense like that? I don't get it.

I'm kind of worried about him. He was targeted once after that catch he got hurt on and he kind of alligator armed that pass. I don't know if it was an elbow or bicep injury but it definitely affected the passing game after that point.

Neither do I. Hard to tell on TV what the defense is doing to take him out of it, but it looks very suspiciously like someone (the OC) just forgets he is on the field. Baffling from a fan's point, but MIGHT be reasonable form some sort of coaching bizarro reasoning.

I was there today. I don't remember one target in the 2nd half. He was out there, but the coaches seem to like using him as a decoy I guess.

Hard to blame the offense today......plus the other guys get paid too.

The offense did their jobs today, the defense.......did not.

If Andre wants this coaching staff to have plays thrown his way the second half he needs to change his jersey number to 44.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that the offense did their job, on the whole. They scored 3 points in the second half.

Yea Leach caught 3 passes for 7 yards. I like those plays on play action at the goal-line and 3rd and short but they were on 1st and 2nd downs.

Why?

0 times, we threw to him 0 times in the second half, not 2 passes 2 drops, we threw to him 0 times for 0 catches..

FANTASTIC IDEA..

Anybody notice that this thread starts with post #2, and there's no post #1?

LOL. Our team is so bad, we can't even get the first post to show up as post #1.

I think Andre's arm is hurt. He was pointing to it on the sideline, shaking his head and had a look of disappointment on his face when he was talking to someone and showing them his arm. Then he came out and had the pad on it.

Did he pull the muscle? Major bruise/contusion? Possible fracture?

I don't see this offense intentionally not targeting him. How could the head coach, the OC, and the QB manage to do that?

My money is on AJ being hurt and they backed off throwing it his way so that it wouldn't run the risk of being hurt any worse.

Besides, this defense (once again) brain-farted on the TD run by MJD.

Wouldn't you think that some one in this charming organization would realize that when they don't get Andre the ball - we lose. I know there aren't any simple solutions to complex problems - and goodness knows this team has quite a few problems - but this particular does have a simple solution. Get the ball to Andre.

I did hear that at some point (I've forgotten when and I didn't see it) that Andre went off the field and got his elbow taped.

I agree with you here. I don't put this on Chris Brown (fumble), Kevin Walter (phantom penalty), or any other part of the offense. The defense blew this one big time. Plus, AJ was hurt at some point in the 2nd half and seemed very timid after that.

I think it was due to him being hurt. They were showing on TV when he was on the sideline and he looked to be in some pain. He kept extending his arm and grabbing at his elbow. I'm thinking he was just being used more as a decoy in the 2nd half due to the injury. Regardless, I don't know how much him not getting the ball there cost us the game. The other receivers played just fine.

If you noticed, he was wearing a support band positioned not below the elbow (signifying forearm flexor or extensor tear/strain, or tennis elbow-like problem), but below it. This usually is worn to support a triceps muscle/tendon strain/tear or a biceps muscle/tendon strain/tear.

Kubiak said the only major injury in the game was Thompson, so it doesn't seem like something that will linger to next week

If they thought he was hurt and were afraid to risk further injury why have him on the field? You may be right, but I'd rather keep him on the sideline if that's the case.

If Kubiak's lips are moving and he is talking about injuries, he is not likely being particularly forthcoming.

He talked in general terms about being nicked up, and the only time he was asked about Andre Johnson specifically after the game, he didn't answer the question that was asked.

You are not paranoid if they are actually out to get you.

I have some concern about Andre's health right now. I hope I'm reading too much into some things.
