Texans are being disrespectful....

Carr Bombed

Hall of Fame
according to Jaguars' home writer Vic Ketchman

The more I think about this “Battle Red” thing, the more angry I get. This is insulting. This is like being the homecoming game on a team’s schedule every year.

Oh, I know why they’re doing it. The Texans are still angry about the Jaguars having used them to dump $17 million in salary cap amortization in the 2002 expansion draft. The Texans are still mad at themselves for having facilitated the recovery of a division foe that would’ve been in salary cap hell for another five years had not the Texans assumed the amortization of players who did very little for them.

So whose fault was that? Did they expect the Jaguars to say, “Oh, no, we couldn’t do that to one of our beloved AFC South partners?”

Yeah, I know, the Texans are ridin’ high in the saddle after their upset win in Tennessee. At 1-1, this is an over-the-hump game for the Texans. This is a chance for them to get over .500 and, finally, stay there. This is a chance for Houston to become a legitimate playoff contender.

All of that should make this a “See Red Day” for the Jaguars. It’s time for the Jaguars to spoil the Texans’ party, just as the Texans have spoiled the Jaguars’ for so many years.

Here are 10 things the Jaguars have to do to beat the Texans.......

I think it is disrespectful that the Jags have tarps on their stadium, time and time again .. hell at least put some cardboard figures up or something or paint some peoples faces on the tarps

:turtle:

Homer post if I've ever read one. Jags may have a little tinge of desperation sitting at 0-2 with 1 divisional loss already but it's not like the Texans don't have anything going for them. If any carry over can be expected the Texans passing game just steamrolled a much better defense, with a run game trying to pick up it's slack against...MUCH BETTER DEFENSES. Speaking of much better defenses, who does Garrard have as an option to pick on our weak secondary? And? Anybody else? Who? As long as they can shut MJD down we'll probably see a nice victory

Ummmm, Jackass. The decision for uniforms combos was made before the tickets were even printed.

Oh, whats the old adage in sports, "If you don't like it, stop it". The way you are going to stop it is by beating us on that particular day.

Long live "Teal Day!!" :spit:

Hey! Those tarps paid good money for those seats! You can't just throw them out because you don't like the look of sheets of black plastic.

It seems they are trying to get folks fired up to show support, be it this article or this:

"The Rally": Saturday, October 3rd: The Rally

Who: Our Team, Our Town, the unofficial Jaguars Booster Club

What: We're forming our largest and most epic rally to date. Come out and join us on the corner of Southside and Atlantic Blvd on Saturday, October 3rd (next week) from noon until 6PM, the day before the Jaguars take on the Tennessee Titans on our home turf. Wear your teal, bring signs & flags and let's show Jacksonville what Jaguars fans are made of! Friday is typically "wear your teal day" in Jacksonville, but to allow those who have work or live out of town to join us, a weekend should allow many of you to attend. There will be bottled water and snacks available for all who attend.

Cost: FREE! Just come out, support your team... wear your teal.

Where: Corner of Southside Blvd and Atlantic Blvd in Jacksonville (Map)

When: Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 12PM until 6PM.

So who's coming out and supporting the Jaguars with us? We'll be shooting a documentary video and taking photos. Bring POSITIVE SIGNS (Go Jags, Buy Tickets, Beat the Tacks, etc). Please do not bring slandering/negative signs and attitudes (Fire Del Rio, Draft Tebow, etc). If you plan on coming, please post here. Also, any questions/comments can be posted here and one of us will be happy to answer them. It's time to see who the real fans are!

Anything goes, I guess but I feel bad for Jags fans because I know exactly what it's like to lose a team.

I don't know, but after last week, the inbreds may replace the Cowturds as my most hated team. They are getting close.

You should already hate them more....they're a divisional rival. What the Cowboys do have no real outcome on our seasonal results.

Goodness. Only the Jags can call for a pep rally and put it on a street corner. What? Does Vic Ketchum have his in-laws in town this weekend?

He says he is angry that the Texans are disrespecting them with Battle Red Day and then goes right on to say that the Jaguars using the Texans to get out of salary cap problems is 'Tough. Deal with it."

Huh? Well, we call it Battle Red Day for a reason. It's the day the Texans beat the Jaguars like a redheaded stepchild. That's tough, Vic. Deal with it.

My decision to hate the Cowpatties so much has nothing to do with logicial thinking. LOL

The biggest thing that I hate about them is how they're guaranteed to get atleast 3 or 4 national prime time games every single year regardless of how crappy they are. That and how they get talked about on every single show regardless of the fact that they didn't make the playoffs last season, they might be the 3rd best team in their own division, and they haven't won a playoff game for over a decade.

Its Dallas. Dallas is like a rich ugly girl that needs to be told she's pretty all the time. That new stadium is SO tacky, which perfectly exemplifies what Dallas is. I hate that city and the people that crawl out from it.

I'd love to get a couple of pictures of this event.............Jags fans probably don't even understand what TEAL is. It'll probably be a crowd resembling a patch work quilt.

So for all those ignorant toothless Jags fans related to the hillbilly toothless Tacks fans, this is TEAL:

But . . but . . but . . they are America's Team, remember? :chili:

That had to be the lamest "5 things we have to do to win" article I've ever read. The guy must've wrote it while sitting naked in a beanbag, eating Cheetos and watching the NFLN replay of the Texans beating the Tacks.

I'snt this a Jags thread?Maybe the obsession is what is the problem. Stadium is awesome. I hate to step in here but does no one find it silly that every thread turns into this. Get mad at me if you want but as a good Cowboy fan it just reeks of all kids of things. Up there they don't care and the Texans and the fans need to realize that the Cowboys have nothing to do with never reaching the SB or the goal in beating the Colts, Titans and Jags. Eye on the prize. Eye on the prize.

Great point, yet it doesn't make me hate them less.

All threads will eventually ridicule Dallas, Tennessee, VY, or Carr. It has been ordained and you cannot avoid it.

They should just be thankful that this game will be televised in Jacksonville. Must suck to only see road games on TV.
