-- Warrant Issued for Burress --
Fri May 27, 2005 --from FFMastermind.com

The Tribune-Review reports Giants WR Plaxico Burress skipped out on his tax bill when he traded in his black and gold jersey for New York Giants blue, a collection agency says. A district judge in Coraopolis Thursday issued an arrest warrant for the former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver because he failed to appear at a hearing on the delinquent tax claim. Burress will not be tracked down in New York -- where he's now training with the Giants -- but could be arrested and fined $2,500 if and when he returns to this state, said District Judge Mary Murray. Burress did not file returns or pay the combined 1 percent annual wage tax to Moon and the Moon Area School District when he lived there, according to a criminal complaint filed by Keystone Municipal Collections of White Oak. The complaint does not state how much Burress owes.

Plexiglass stinks anyway... I've got him in the Freddie Mitchell category of "talks more than he walks."

You might disagree with the previous poster, but telling him to shut up is just plain rude.

Just another rude teeny bopper that has invaded this board!! I'm all for EVERYONE, regardless of age or gender, posting their opinions, but, I have a huge problem with fans who disrespect other fans.

He's a VERY good receiver but maybe needs to sharpen up on his care of private matters. That's pocket change to him.

I'm not too sure, but it seems as though you may have just said something to me in severely broken English. Would you like to try again?

"u aint even know how he plays..."

What?

And yeah, the Pats were really scared of Burress in the AFC Championship game. The two catches he had, along with the garbage time TD that didn't do anything but make the final score look a little closer, really scared the bejeezus out of Bill Belichick, Rodney Harrison, Richard Seymour, and Tedy Bruschi. (Then again, those guys are so easily intimidated...)

I bet they were, 2TD's in week 8 , the loss that ended the Patriot streak.
Funny, 2 Td's was also the Margin of victory
:)

Say what you want, the Guy put 3 TD's on the Patriots last year.

Yes, he did... but he was virtually shut down in the AFC title game when it mattered most. Winning streaks are nice, and it's unfortunate that the Patriots' record ended... but I'd take that loss 100 times out of 100 if it meant the same result in the bigger, more important game.

That title game TD catch was in garbage time... the game was already over. And in the Halloween game, Ty Law went down in the 1st quarter and Burress was being covered by Earthwind Moreland. Not to make excuses, but an arena-league castoff is no match for any NFL receiver.

I have little or no respect for Burress because of the way he shot his mouth off after the Steelers were eliminated. He strikes me as a Randy Moss type, completely concerned with himself and always ready to throw his teammates under the bus to explain his own poor performances.
