Waiver Wish List

cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu, a first-round prospect who suffered a torn ACL in January while training for the draft.

drafted in the fourth round last year, has alot of talent
 
Sands, Shaun Smith and Pollard are guys with experience that can still play and would be good waiver wire pickups.
 
Marcus Freeman, replaces Chaun Thompson, better talent, younger, and cheaper.
Trevor Canfield, replaces Kacey Studdard and possibly Mike Brisiel, again better talent, bigger size, younger and cheaper.
Jack Ike, if it weren't for injury he'd have gone very high in the draft, give him a shot. Quality depth at CB is a good thing, he can develope on the practice squad.
Bernard Pollard, give him a tryout, maybe he replaces Barber or Ferguson. It sure wouldn't be hard to upgrade the talent at SS.
Brian Brohm and/or Rhett Bomar, developmental QB for the practice squad. I don't think Orlovsky or Grossman will be around for a long time, I see them as players to develope and trade for better draft picks. Brohm or Bomar would be our 2nd string QB of the future.
Terrance Taylor, maybe he replaces Zgonina now or goes to the practice squad and replaces him next year. It's Zgonina's last year in the league either way.

This isn't Madden, we aren't going to cut 5-6 guys that have basically made our squad to try out some rookies that might be decent. A 7th round rookie that got cut and we should bring him in for Brisiel? Really? Also, we don't have the right to put anyone we want on the PS. Some of those guys are likely headed for the PS on the teams that cut them.
 
I am shocked that Brohm got cut. I had high hopes for him coming out of college. He should've come out his jr year when his stock was highest and when his coach and offensive talent were still there.

I know Pollard looked pretty decent when baby Gibbs was coaching him. Maybe he could give us some decent safety play reunited with Gibbs? I dont know if we risk it knowing we'd have to cut a special teams ace or Barber who Kubes believes has good potential.

If we got Pollard i'd cut Barber though, Busing means too much to our special teams and is a worker. You cant have enough guys like him on the roster even if they dont have the same perceived "upside" of certain players.

You can't just put anyone on the Practice Squad. The team that drafted them has the first option of putting them on the Practice Squad. You would have to give most of those guys roster spots if you wanted them since some of them will go to their teams PS.
