OK. I have NEVER in my thousand plus posts ever ever ever claimed to have any inside knowledge or anything and we get a million of these a year and everyone says that they SWEAR you can trust them. So read this at your own peril.

A guy was in my brothers store today (we're in shreveport) and he was all decked out in his Texans gear. A customer comes up to him and says "hey are you a Texans fan?" My brother looks down at his shirt and points at his hat and says "Umm ya think". The guy says "Oh my cousin is Reeves fiancee" my brother was like no way anyways they talked for a while and the dude is like hold up check this out. He calls Reeves and says "dude there is a guy in shreveport all decked out in Texans gear, wanna say hi?" My brother is stunned. He's like no way... but he gets on the phone and chats with him for a few minutes askin' him what's going on when you gonna be back etc.

Anyways he says he'll be ready to go week one, that he had just gotten off the treadmill (that's REAL quick isn't it?) Just an update. My brother was convinced it was him so if anyone with more reliable information knows differently lemme know but otherwise that's pretty fast and good news isn't it?

I know its a bunch of he said she said bulls^(^ but good info if your a JR fan.

Thanks for passing that along, how cool for your brother. Kubiak said in his comments today that week 2 was the target, with getting him back week 1 as a bonus. Good to hear he's ahead of schedule.
 
I couldn't believe that he was on a treadmill. That is INSANE if you ask me. The other cool thing is he is sending my brother and I autographed pics. (The last Houston player I got an autograph from wore the number one and inspired the great "You've just been Mooned" signs after TDs in the Dome). So that's pretty cool. Yeah my brother was all geeked up. Of course I went out and threw three pics in flag football in his honor today lol.

It must've just been a small hairline fracture. (which is kinda what I thought, with the way he was walking around right after the injury).

Anyways I hope he makes it back.....we need all the help we can get.

If you're going to choose a lower extremity fracture to have, it's an isolated non-displaced fibula fracture. The fibula only accounts for 17% of the weight bearing load. However, fracture is sensitive to turning/torquing of the lower leg until healed. I would say the 2nd week of the regular season would be safer and more reasonable.
 
That's very good news, I just hope that he's not rushing back ahead of schedule and winds up hurting the leg even worse.
 
In Kubiak's quotes he says that they were shooting for week 2 but that week 1 would be hopeful.

Aparently Meyers is going to play on Monday too! Wow how quickly he went from the least favorite OLinemen to woohoo!

As long as you are not a biseshual. Seriously, this might be why the team is still holding firm against DR. Now if Bennett will just get it together. I heard that Bennett is an intellectual also.
