"Samson aka Brian Cushing got a hair cut tonight. I'll try to get a pic tom. We gave him the Matt Schaub fade"

Probably better for him with the heat and living in a red state.

The Matt Schaub peninsula hair cut is way better than the one that Schaub had his first year with tufts of hair blowing in the wind. If it is getting bozo on top, that's when you cut it tight.
 
Haha I was just going to post this! He was adament about trying to influence other guys on the team to grow their hair out long but rookies don't make those decisions clearly. Just hope this doesn't affect his play, not that there's any logical reason for that haha.
 
Just heard on Sports Sunday Barwin and Cushing are roommates and Cushing leaves his laundry out everywhere

On a mitten note , mistermittens.org had a post from Hulk 75 in Dec 08 . He used his real and said that he was Carr's brother and Carr's lawyers would be contacting the site owner about shutting it down .

I did my research and it's still there . If you look down the left side of the page toward the bottom , you'lll see the post .

Great, now that they've taken care of the least important thing maybe everything else will just fall into place.
 
I had something really pertinent and witty to say until my wife interrupted me. I wonder if the Texans can put me up in the team hotel until TC is over so I can focus more and put the team first!!

I'm pretty sure that Samson's power was in his hair. Hercules was a son of Zeus (I believe) and he just "was" powerful being a demi-god and all.

So technically Mario is like Hercules. Cush is like Samson (or not, hopefully).
 
His hair wasn't even touching, much less covering his name on the jersey. Dunta is up next, after all he'll finally be able to afford a haircut with that 10 mil. It'll probably take at least 1.5 mil to cut up that much hair.

No, Dunta is holding out of all team activities. Including a hair cut.
 
Well personally, I liked his hair long, and think he's a wuss for being intimidated enough to cut it. Not a big deal, just disappointed he didn't stand up for himself. Thought this dude was arrogant and tough! If he can't say F-off to those who wanted something as simple as getting his hair cut, I wonder what he'll do on the field. I know, apples and oranges!! I'm just saying he should have stood up for himself.

Blast DC all you want guys! You just show your lack of knowledge about the entire "hair" thing. David Carr wanted NO part of that miserable media blunder. Ya wanna blame someone, blame the Texans public relations dept for coming up with such a lame idea.

I don't think standing up for yourself is the way to go in this situation or even an option. If he makes a big deal out if it, the vets on the team could get pretty nasty with the hazing. Besides, it's just hair. It grows back for most people.

He could have said F-off BUT... if he had done that, he wouldn't have been part of the team. He'd be just some punk kid who's a jerk and an a-hole who thinks he's better than everyone else. But, since he did this and (apparently) did it with some good grace, he's become a real part of this team. If he, a first round pick, is going to take part in some rookie hazing like this without getting an attitude about it, he just bought himself a lot of credibility with the rest of the guys.

This isn't about being tough or standing up for something, this is about belonging.

Bruce Mathews used to give the haircuts in the Oiler days and he butchered more than a few rookies hair .

And if he HAD said F-off... I think he would have lost the battle. He was getting his hair cut one way or another. Cushing is no longer one of the biggest nor one of the most feared player on his team. He's a puny rook.

Hey, if you read the thread title and expected something else, that's YOUR bad.

It does actually speak a bit to his intelligence that he didn't try to resist this "minor" hazing. He's not above being a rookie.
