Jim Wyatt, reports for the Tennessean, the Tennessee Titans will continue to monitor the situation concerning Buffalo Bills RB Travis Henry. The two teams discussed a trade for Henry during the NFL Draft, and general manager Floyd Reese and Bills general manager Tom Donohoe have had some dialogue since. Reese said the Bills initially wanted a second- or third- round pick. Reese said the Titans offered the Bills a fifth-round pick and the Bills balked. Reese added the Titans would like to have Henry, but only for a decent price.

A fifth rounder? They should've taken Shelton when they had a chance...

The Jags could also be interested in Henry for the right price, because of Fred's injury.

The bidding? In order for the Titans to be in a bidding war with us, they have to reach into that deep bank account they have... oh wait... nevermind.

How much money do the jaqs have left? They signned like that dude from the broncos,a dt from the bengals, dat dude(wiley), terry cousin and nate wayne.

The Texans win either way with that one. 2003 - couldn't hold on to the ball if his life depended on it. 2004 - injured most of the season. 2005 - bad attitude. Getting a guy like that to play against in division twice a year would be great.

Oh, I don't know about that. First of all, the fumbling and the "bad attitude" you mention are all manifestations of his greatest strength. He is one heck of a competitor. The fumbles came from third and fourth efforts. When he spoke out last year it is only because he wanted desperately to play more. And, regarding 2004, he played most of the season with injuries that Dominik Davis wouldn't even consider playing with.

Henry is not an elite back, but he's darn good. And, his contract is quite manageable. I don't want him to end up in our division unless he's playing for us.

My post was half in jest but since you brought it up, Henry went 8 games without a carry last year, four or five of those because he was out injured and the rest because he was watching Willis. In four other games he saw only spot duty because he was watching Willis. He had only four starts where he saw significant action before he got dinged and Willis essentially took over and sparked the team.

I'm not totally dogging Henry, he's a decent back, but he's not handling himself very well under this spotlight. If you're good enough to be the starter then win the job. Since it looks like he can't, I can understand him not wanting to be a backup in his contract year.

Henry fumbled a lot because he's a great competitor? Okay, but for some reason I don't think that after every fumble, coaches and fans everywhere justified that by saying "yeah but he sure is a great competitor."

Speaking of DD, it will be interesting to watch the dynamics between him and Morency this year. We could have our own Willis and Travis show right here before our own eyes.

Updating an ongoing storyline, Bart Hubbuch, reports for the Sporting News, the Jacksonville Jaguars may see the Buffalo Bills as a strong trading partner to help them acquire the veteran running back they seek. They could attempt to work out a deal with the Bills that involves disgruntled RB Travis Henry.

I definitely do not want to face Henry twice a year...Let's not forget how well he has fared against us the two times he's faced us in the past...In his career, Henry has 51 carries for 308 yards (6.04 YPC) and 2 TDs against the Texans...

hmmm i liked henry as the bills RB, i WOULDNT of taken mcgahee over travis IMO !

They're both good RBs, but there are plenty of reasons the Bills chose to start Willis over Henry, none of which being bigger than this: with Henry starting, the Bills were 0-5, however, with McGahee starting, they were 9-2...If Herman Edwards has taught us anything, it's that, "You play to win the game", and Willis is a winner...

Jax is the perfect fit for him. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens soon.

That dude had some good games against us already, I would hate to see him behind that Titans Oline.

You mean like how Domanick was competing so hard against San Diego and Detroit last year? I know here on the Texans board all we could talk about was how hard Davis was competing and how great that was.

Jim Wyatt, reports for the Tennessean, despite public denials, Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese has remained in contact with the Buffalo Bills about RB Travis Henry. The Titans are concerned about RB Chris Brown's capacity to be an every-down back, due to his injury issues. "If Chris is going to be unable to carry the load we have to be smart about that," Reese said. "And maybe the combination of him and other guys will allow you to get it done instead of putting all the pressure on Chris.'' Reese actually spoke to the Bills earlier this week. The Bills have remained firm in their demand of a third-round pick for Henry, but so far the Titans haven't been willing to go that high.

Vito Stellino, of the Florida Times-Union reports Jacksonville Jaguars vice president of player personnel, James Harris, said the Jacksonville Jaguars haven't made any overtures to get an experienced back such as Buffalo Bills RB Travis Henry. The team was reportedly interested in bringing in another running back due to RB Fred Taylor's (knee) recovery from knee surgery.

You know, with the addition of Henry, the Titans could get back up to speed with the rest of the division. They still have a good WR in Calicoand Bennett. We forget that we matched up well because a WR of Calico's nature was not there. Adding Henry into that makes for some good offensive power.

Makes you sorda glad we went after LBs that have more speed.
