QB's rep getting trashed

SAN ANTONIO – There were a couple of times during the opening practice of Dallas Cowboys training camp Wednesday when quarterback Tony Romo(notes) was his confounding self.

The athletic Romo, who possesses one of the quickest releases in the game, sometimes just seems to go into a brain cramp. One such occasion was when he tossed an errant deep pass toward Miles Austin(notes) that was so far off it ended up being tipped for an interception.

If he didn't show up for camp that'd be a story.

Missing a few passes at camp? Must be a REALLY slow news day.

Romo's mind wandered .

I think that Irvin might have tried to get his point across in some way other than comparing Romo to Bledsoe. Do you really want to compare your man to something you are making sound "worthless," and leave open the question how much better did the team playoff quest fare than with the supposedly worthless alternative?

T.O. playing mind games with Tony already with their love hate relationship I love it J/K LOL.

I feel for the guy. He has to play for the Cowboys and his best WR is Roy Williams and I can't name his #2(Crayton?). Oh well. Hope his team fails miserably.

Yea..poor Tony..he makes millions..he can date pretty much any woman he wants..he plays golf with Tiger Woods...

geez what a miserable life. :)

Well...considering he could've got a bigger contract elsewhere, he's paying a bit to play in Dallas. If that ain't a sign of insanity, I don't know what is.

Where? They signed him what a year ago to an extension..I'm not gonna look it up but I'm thinking it was 65 million or something like that.

That's not insane..that's leading a charmed life.

But then again you know that.

Stick 65 million in front of most players and they're gonna sign..

Dan Snyder would've given him more.

Romo will never be as good as Bledsoe was.

His contract wasn't up and he was brought in as an undrafted FA to start his career. I don't think he was waiting to be signed elsewhere.

I did like that 8,000 showed up at their first practice in SA. Amazing considering we haven't made the playoffs or won a playoff game in awhile...that is tongue in cheek since that might mean there are still non-bandwagoners...
