12 games in the win collumn

Joe Texan

Yeppers that is what I see, and I am being cautious.

All you whiners and crybabies need to realize that a team feeds off of the energy around it and you give off negative energy when you whine so move to Dallas.

The Texans might not win 1 game but in my book they win every game till they lose it. :boxing:

well heck, as long as we're dreaming...I say we go 19 and 0...probably closer to 6 and 10.

all Sarcasim aside "OCD",,,i see what ya mean Joe. Plus we have a fairly easy schedule this year, and that alone should greatly increase or chances at a play-off run. 12 wins sounds about right to me. :)

Before the season, you can never tell what kind of schedule you have

You tell'em Joe.

Anyhow, I have the Texans winning 11 games this year. I think if they go at least 2-2 in the first four games, they have an excellent chance after that of winning the 3 after that (Seattle, Indy, and Cleveland), I think we can go 2-2 in November against Jville, Indy, KC, and StL. I think December will be rough depending on which Texans team shows up where they could either go 2-2 or 3-1 with some luck and I think we are a couple steps ahead of San Fran in Jan.

Paper predictions though but our past indicates improvement every year.

Texans make the play-offs on a tiebreaker, win the Wildcard Game against the Bills who they already proven can beat thats 10. Then win the Divisional Playoffs against the Colts 11 & finish off the defending Superbowl Champion Patriots in the Conference Championship, there is your 12 wins.

Boy that sure would be a positive season :pigfly:

I Don't Think So.... last time I saw this team play....it was an inspired performance at home against one of the worst teams in football...Cleveland!
The last defeat is the freshest and showed me how far this team has to go.

A Home record of 3 and 5 last year. Blah...Blah...

9 wins for this team would be Expectional......You are not going to get any bonus wins for superior game planning. This team is like Bob McNair's horses in the Derby....Looooong shots.

Well, I've had my laugh for the day. Now, I can go to sleep without watching Leno or Letterman. :highfive:

I do that. I know it's not really all that sensible but I swear I sit down to watch every single Texans game expecting them to win. Even when they're supposed to get creamed I expect them to win.

I just think they're going to win until they prove otherwise.

As is the plight of the hardcore fan. Even when I may say I don't expect them to win, why do I feel horrible when/if they lose? No matter the spread, I hate every loss just as bad as the next, just about.

From 5 to 7 to at least 9 or 10 games. Anything more would be welcomed. Looking so forward to our first winning season. :highfive:

As long as they don't blow any 35 point leads, I'll always support them. But seriously, I think we'll sweep the Jags and Titans again, beat the Bengals, and get revenge on Cleveland. With that said, I think we'll win either 9 or 10 games, most likely 10. I think also think that next year when we play the Cowboys, that that is going to be one of the best matchup's of the season. Unless they decide to hand the reignes over to Henson, then we'll just destroy them again. I can't wait for the return of dominant Texas teams playing each other on national television, I may be waiting a while for that though.

I know!! Why is it that we play teams like the Bengals 3 of 4 yrs, Cleveland 3 of 4 yrs, Buffalo 3 of 4yrs, KC 3 of 4 yrs but we only played the Cowboys once in four years?

Because the Cowboys are in the NFC... We rotate NFC divisions, therefore we play each NFC team every 4 years... We play each team in our division twice; which makes 10, then we rotate the three remaining AFC divisions which bring the total to 14... The final two games are determined by our record against teams also in the AFC.

realistic expectations: 9-7 record/playoff contender

1. We will not sweep either Tenn , nor Jacksonville.
2. If we're lucky, we get a split with Indy.

3-3

KC , Buffalo and Zona, have upset written all over them.

Marking the KC game down as a win is a mistake, IMHO. Watchin' our LB's cover Gonzo will be a hoot. We made Gates into an all pro. Pass rush anyone ?

If Wand has a better year, if Peak comes around and Babs improves his pass rush, If P-burt holds up,(We'll find out Oct. 2 about PB) and If Carr remains intact, we might make 10-6. Lot of if's in there though. 4-12 wouldn't surprise me if things don't go well. But I love the enthusiasim. Yeah Baby, SB here we come.
