Leftwich disputes weight

ESPN reported that Leftwich weighed 260 pounds during a taping of its Battle of the Gridiron Stars competition in Orlando last month, but Leftwich insisted he wasn't -- and isn't -- that big.

The Jaguars listed the 6-5 Leftwich at 245 pounds last season, and he insisted that weight is correct. Leftwich said the broadcast listed him at 260 because it wanted to make a tug-of-war competition look more equal.

"That [260 listing] was just for TV, so don't listen to what TV says,'' said Leftwich, who was the anchor on the AFC tug-of-war team. "I was heavy last month, but I wasn't 260.''

Ya'll leave Byron alone. He's just trying to put on some extra padding because he heard Peek was going to start this year and he knows he's going to be "running into him" a lot in the Jags backfield.
