Here's a simple question for you Texan fans to get your mind off the draft for a few minutes lol............How do yall Andre will do this season at WR?I mean of course he had a GREAt season last year since he made the pro bowl but do you think he'll do even better this season?

I don't know about 10 TDs, but he should get 1200 or more yards.

i dunno with the other WR we drafted in the forth and the kinda speed he has, i think it will take some of the pressure off johnson, plus if our running game stays consistent that will help.

we all know he's gonna get better regardless of the stats. i just hope he doesn't get hurt. knock on wood

Lets just hope DD isn't our 2nd leading receiver again. DD is good, but come on, there are other receivers we need to throw to. I think Johnson will have his breakout year this year. Usually the receivers 3rd year is where they really start to dominate.

Last year was his breakout year... This year he will just shame the opposing DB's! :thumbup

what's wrong with DD having the second most receptions on our team? look at ladamien tomlinson, he always ends up at the top of the chargers receiving list. and he's a top 10, some could argue top 5 running back in the league.

referring to LT.

exactly, nothing wrong with DD getting alot of receptions. screen passes to a back can be very effective especially if you're getting alot of pressure on your QB. the screen can make a defense play alot more honest because they're gonna get burned if they don't.

There is a different between throwing a lot of designed screens to your RB because he is devastating when used in that way (the Chargers and Thomlinson) and throwing a lot of dump-offs to your RB because your primary target was covered and the pass-rush is about to reach you (us and Davis). It's no criticism of Davis to wish he had less passes thrown his way, as it would suggest Carr was actually getting some sort of protection.

Mathis will probably limited in p.t. early. He needs to learn the offense and adapt to competition far exceeding what he is used to.

Of course Andre will have a great season. I think his presence alone this year will change things for us offensively just like it has since he's come into the league.

yah thats true, dont get me wrong Dre is dangerous goin deep and i kinda wished i saw it more towards the end of the seasin like we were doin in the start but Dre is dangerous over the middle he can spread a defense like crazy if carr is giving enogh time.

Hopefully we found someone to take some of the pressure of AJ with Jerome Mathis and it will open up more plays for him downfield and on short paterns. I think with the addition of a legitimate deep threat to go with AJ he will blossom into one of the top 5 WR in the league this year.

Dre will have a big season this year now that we have an offense that doesnt send him on a streak or post every time. Quick stuff, just get the ball in his hands!
Very good point. When you have a WR of AJ's stature and yard after catch potential, design moderate range passes and let him do his thing.

Did it seem to anybody else like they quit running that AJ linebacke drag route in the 2nd half of the season? That seems like a great AJ route IMO--get him the ball 10 yards downfield with just the DB's between him and the end-zone--I'll take that gamble a lot.

I think BJ healthy and cacthing balls over the middle should open up alot more room for Andre down the feild which will help him gain yards. I think with the offensive line having played with each other and in the same system for back to back years for the first time as a unit will give Carr more time to throw and Dre more time to get open should help A.J. get more catches. I also think that Mathis will come in and make an impact as a deep threat for us this year and that should give Andre more short yardage catch em' and run plays. So in other words I think A.J. will have a even bigger year than last year, somewhere in the neighbour hood of 1400 yards and 10 TD's.
I know this post might sound like it's coming from a homer but I truly believe this will be a big year for thye Texans offense.

i am perdicting 90+ catches and 1400 yards and 10+ tds. i think this is his season. carr will finally look to get andre the ball and he will have a breakout year, but i am a big johnson fan so it might be wishful thinking.

AJ will be on ESPN's Cold Pizza on Friday morning. He'll talk about his charity, the state of the Texans, and about the U of course. The interview should be on at around 9:20 AM on the replay of Cold Pizza on ESPN2.

Considering our cast of WRs as of now, I think AJ will explode. I'm anxious to see what Mathis will do for us.
