Me, I'm a Big Sports Guy - I used to assume that all guys were inherently Big Sports Guys, but my male cousin-in-law, the dancer, assured me this was an incorrect ideology - and though basketball is my favorite sport, football is a close second. Naturally, I've grown terribly partial to our city's pro team: the Houston Texans.
Now, I try to sit down and watch as much of their weekly games as I can, but with my boys running around that usually equates to about 8 minutes of real-time action per game. As such, I've taken to following the team like any good, hard-working American: by reading numerous football-related websites during the work day.
Of all of the Texans websites/blogs that I read, I'd be lying if I said that the unforgiving DGDB&D (formerly Da Good, Da Bad, & DeMeco) wasn't my favorite. So when Matt Campbell, the site's founder, agreed to compile a list of the Ten Greatest Houston Texans of All Time exlusively for this here site, I was stoked.
Anyone that's familiar with Campbell's site knows that there's a certain amount of, er, shall we say "lack of sensitivity," that goes along with his coverage (so if you click over, know that it can be a bit PG-13 at times) but his expertise in the area is absolutely unquestioned. His Texans-related writing has been featured on ESPN.com, NBCSports.com, USAToday.com and Deadspin.com, among others.
At any rate, enough with all the hubbub, here's the list. If you feel like there was an egregious error made in its compilation, feel free to chop it up in the comments section. Know that Campbell will likely respond, and it probably won't be to tell you that you're super smart.
