Are you an agent?

as of now the vikes are being the most aggressive in the udfa market...i would think with the few picks we had that we would be more aggressive in the fa market than in previous years...wouldn't mind munoz, browner, butler, brimmer, lawerence, and anyone else just to give more competition to all spots in training camp...i think we have like 11 spots open...lets signed 11 guys

UPDATE: Jelani Clement's possibility of being one of the UFA pickups for the Texans is increasing. Will have to work hard to make the team, but is a better long snapper than Pittman

I'm assuming that's who he wants us to make a run at...Any word on Shazor, Browner, or Wilkerson? I heard a Wilkerson to Miami rumor, but I'm not sure the validity of it...

Right now, Wilkerson, Carter, and Clement are being reviewed by Miami. For a little while tonight, it seemed as if Clement was the front runner for Miami, but I think he might get a shot to get an invite to the Texans camp instead.

If Clement goes anywhere, the 4 most likely destinations are Houston, Pittsburgh, Detroit, or Miami

I think Vince Carter would be a good pick. He was a great player in college and Peterson wouldn't have had the year he did without a good line. I don't see why we wouldn't make a bid at him since it would be a low cost, low risk gamble. I also like Shazor, our only weakness in the secondary now is ss and he could at the very least push the other guys into better performances.

If we signed Shazor, it wouldn't be to play SS...We're trying to add speed to the D, and he just doesn't have it...

I wonder why no one has picked up Brandon Browner... He seems like a prime canidate for a FS project. Maybe we could pick him up to back up Coleman. We could use the depth.

Browner, Wilkerson, Shazor, Munoz, Brimmer, and Jonathan Clinkscale would be the guys that I would be going after like their was no tomorrow. I think all of them have a better chance of making our team over Pettway, Anderson and some of the other guys who are lower on the totem poll. Shazor and Browner are very interesting prospects since each is a NE versatile type player. Shazor could play ILB and inject some speed into the posistion and Browner can play the FS and CB if neccessary which would make Jason Simmons job in jeopardy. Munoz and Wilkerson will likely have decent careers if someone just gives them the chance. Munoz can be very good when he is not injured and Wilkerson would provide depth at the center but mainly the guard posisiton.

Michael Munoz please. He is a very good player as was his dad but that isn't the reason why I would want him on our team. He dominates.

According to CC on 610 this morning, we have signed a couple of FAs and will not release details until contracts are signed. Likely by Thursday.

Wow! I didn't know Reyes was still available. Seems like everytime I saw him play he made big plays for Syracuse. Also, Victor Sesay (TE) can be a good player in this league. There are some interesting names on this list. Chris Rix was thought to be a top QB prospect just a few years ago...Should interesting to see who the Texans sign.

Seattle has apparently signed RB Jesse Lumsden a Canadian kid who played Canadian University football last year.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft...o.com/nfldraft/draft05/tracker/player?id=9087

This kid will make their team and be a very productive NFL RB. He smashed every single RB record in Canadian university football history last year. I know that our university football is not on par with our brothers to the south but this kid still had to run through or around 11 players on the feild. Jesse is a pure athlete who had offers to play division 1 in the states but stayed in Canada because he wanted to stay at RB. Jesse's workout in Toronto was said to have dazzled the nine NFL teams that were present it is said he had about 8-10 offers right after the draft.. The only knock against Jesse is that he played in Canada (kind of like the small school argument) but I think Seattle knows what they got and Jesse will suprise everyone down south.

CONGRATS JESSE ,WISH U THE BEST

i think it's important to mention that on 610am he said he didn't understand why browner went undrafted...possibly that could be a sign that we have signed him!!!!

Quoted from the Rocky Mountain News:

"Sunday night, the Broncos agreed to terms with four rookie free agents. They included Colorado School of Mines quarterback Chad Friehauf, Colorado State tackle Erik Pears, Oregon State cornerback Brandon Browner and Mercer University's Wesley Duke. Duke, a 6-foot-5 tight end, played basketball at Mercer, which doesn't field a football team."

Colorado School of Mines quarterback Chad Friehauf,

They have a football team there? I bet Chad shows up to training camp with his flag football gear on.

hey.. if he was a long snapper that probably means he has some blocking ability as a TE.

That could be a great 3rd string TE for us. Would take care of our long snapper situation, and give us another blocking TE to work with.

They sure snapped him up quickly. The CIS isn’t on par with Division I football, there’s no doubt about that, but Lumsden also played in the East West Shrine game and many thought he was the MVP of the game. The CIS has produced a couple of other players in recent years who have gone straight from it to the NFL, namely Steve Morley in GB and Israel Idonije in Chicago. In the past there has even been a first round NFL pick out of the CIS, Mike Schad. Lumsden will be their fastest RB and he’s got good size too. The Texans may never have had a shot at him though as it looks like Seattle was on the phone to him immediately after the draft.

Yeah I heard there were many teams that tried to get him right after the draft. Lucky for Seatle I played against him in high school and the guy is a athlete in any league period.

Either him or J. Mathis is gonna be the steal in the draft mark my words.

Hey Vinny, any other word on who we may have gotten, I know we were suppose to have signed several people

The Texans are very tight-lipped on this kind of stuff. Casserly pointed at Thursday, but I'm sure something will leak well before they officially announce their signings. I'm keeping a look out.

Thats whay I think we should sign him V.Carter and Browner, if we can, I dont know why these players went undrafted, but I do know that Shazor ran a horrible 40.

Shazor went to Arizona, Browner signed too (I forget where he signed), and V. Carter got pushed around by college players, so imagine what Stroud and Henderson would do to him...
