I dont see this one going down... Hakeem Nicks as the first receiver? Among numerous other things.

Yep. I don't know why the Lions would go QB-RB with their two #1s when they have a solid back in Kevin Smith.

that there is. i won't even go into the WR position at this point because i'm sure you had your reasons for placing Crabtree as the 3rd one taken. i like the texans pick too. if Matthews shows up at the combine and shows that he can cover than i do believe that he'll make his way into the first round but there is an awful lot of speculation in this mock. but then again isn't that what mocks are for?

Smith from Baylor isn't going to fall that far to the Iggles. McClain has an article on him this morning. Anything is possible, Mike Ditka type tight end falling all the way to the bottom ? Petigrew could well go in the elven spot. the guy has soft hands and he blocks like a left tackle....know what I mean ? He hurts you when he hits you. Once he gets his big hands on you the edge or corner is sealed. He's not falling all the way to the bottom of the pile.

Raw or not, Maybin has a wash board for a tummy and arms like a gorilla. He's a top ten pick. The guy looks like Jim Brown to me.

Matthews is a guy that is good at rushing the passer. I would think he'd be a SLB for us and maybe even move up to RDE in some pass rushing situations- he'd blitz a lot. I have no idea how good he is in coverage though. He's a guy I'd love to have on the team but don't really know if/how he fits.

Whoever Mike Florio is, he should be embarrassed for putting up such a brain-dead mock draft on a website. It's as if he has done no research at all on team needs, or even who the projected best players at their position are. I'm still choking on a blueberry muffin after seeing Orakpo drop to the #29 overall pick!

Florio isn't a big fan of the mock draft thing, so I have a hunch that he cobbled this one together by drawing names out of a hat just to prove a point that mocks are worthless. Zing, we're roasted.

Some weird picks. i'll be interested to look back at this after the draft.

I could see Orakpo slipping but to the Giants? He's not a 4-3 LB

I like that he makes plays. Everytime I watched USC he made things happen. Thats the best way I can describe it. I will go on record right now and say I would take Mathews at 15 before Cushing.

My favorite players in this draft are Max Unger, Clay Mathews, BJ Raji and Donald Brown (RB).

I have mixed thoughts on Cushing. I like him as a player but the injuries are a slight concern to me as well as his 'diet'. Apparently he spends a ton of money every month on structured meals and really counts calories and that sort of thing obsesively. Has some (at least 1) scouts concerned. Is he a football player or more of a work out fanatic playing football? I think he could be a good SLB for us though.

I really like your list of players. I havn't watched centers too much but my favorites are so similar. I like Jeremy Maclin, Clay Matthews, BJ Raji and Donald Brown!

If you somehow get the chance watch Unger, do it, you will not regret it. He is the best cut blocking OL I have ever seen. He may also be the best at getting to the second level and making his block.
