Detroit just took another QB...Looks like they want a lot of insurance in case Harrington fails this season...

Oh man, I just found out it was my boy DanO. This is the PERFECT system for him to succeed in. I'm PRAYING Joey flops and Garcia...well....who cares about Garcia....and DanO can come in. DanO's arm with those weapons, it would be simply terrifying.

What do you guys think about CJ Mosely ??? Or do u think they will go OL? I personally wouldnt mind seeing either Hawthorne or Mosely get picked... Or draft 1, trade back up and get the other and have a young line for the future :hmmm:

Considering we have taken 3 guys with questionable demeanors.. Hawthorne doesnt seem like much of a stretch.

Wait...Who took Orlovsky??? I just saw his picture with a Lions logo during the draft, but the Yahoo! update says New England...

Detroit did...

Indy took Jonathan Welsh, which is a bit of a :um: pick to me...Are they going to use him at OLB or DE? They need run stuffers on their D-Line, and Welsh is a tweener...

Number of interesting o-line prospects and db prospects still out there...plus hawthorne of course. Maybe Shazor coming up?

I said I'd be happy with interior O-Line help...I don't know who Drew Hodgdon is, but I'm pleased :) ...

Finally we pick up someone on the O-Line. I would also like to see someone that could fill in at G or T if our current starters continue to have trouble or get hurt. Either way I think this was a good pick.

Overall: Hodgdon was a heavyweight weightlifting champion in high school but he also tore his left ACL. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2000 and was a reserve interior offensive lineman as a redshirt freshman in 2001 before becoming a fulltime starter at right guard in 2002. He moved to center in 2003, where he was the fulltime starter his final two seasons at Arizona State. Hodgdon lacks exceptional tools but he is a player that continues to improve and has excelled since his move from OG to OC. He has below average bulk and strength, and he doesn't have great downfield mobility. He is, however, an above average athlete with good lateral movement skills and short-area agility. He also is technically sound, efficient, tough and durable. Hodgdon has a passion for the game and shows a very good work-ethic on and off the field.

we sure like to keep our doctors up to date on ACL injuries

Finally, an OL...anybody got the scoop on him?

Any chance of him shifted around to the tackle or guard position?

Here's the link to his official profile...

This is from NFLDraftCountdown

Strengths: Technically sound player who takes advantage of the little tricks of the trade...Hard worker who will always give 100%...Smart...Gets the most out of his athletic ability.
Weaknesses: Lacks great size...Needs to get stronger...Will struggle when going head to head against big defensive tackles...Won't fit in every system.
Notes: Doesn't have the physical tools you look for and will have to make it as a late round pick or undrafted free agent...Overachiever who has a shot if he goes to the right team.

If Hawthorne, Shazor, or Wilkerson are available to us in the 6th.. we better jump on that :)

I wouldn't mind trading into the 6th to get 2 of them if available

He sounds like an ideal fit for us.. and is the only guy we have drafted so far that seems to have a good attitude and work ethic.

Backup to McKinney and can play guard... Sounds like a solid backup lineman we just drafted. Would've liked to see Hawthorne here, but I certainly have no complaints. Just glad we didn't end up with AD McPherson, one pick later to the Saints.
