Season Opener vs The Bills

Im so excited for the season to start, and already am breaking down our season opener. As I read in an article, we are already a underdog and we are a notch under the Bills. While I may not agree with the article, I must say that Buffalo does look like a really good team this year with they're new weapons. That JP Losman looks like he may be the next David Carr, and Willis McGahee may shred our run defense since we lost Jamie. The only thing I can hope for is our new Buchanon to step up and shut down those WR's of Buffalo ( Lee Evans expecially ). I think we will have a tough time overall, with the new O-Line of theirs and a great defense, It will be a really good matchup that I hope we can pull out the Win.

Carr 4 Prez in 08'! :thumbup

Any score predictions? Unfourtunaly I have Buff 24-Hou 10. :thumbdown

Its going to be a tough game, but at least we're playing them in September and not December. Buffalo always has good home field advantage, but I think it will be close.

Houston 16 - Buffalo 10 :ninja:

DD finally starts the year out good and the Texans win the kicking and turnover battle.

Already breaking down the opener? going to be a long next 5-6 months...

exactly what i was thinking, taking away the guessing game the week before the opener. this is just going to make the season opener feel further away

The Bills are not going to be any good! Losman is unproven and until he proves himself I say no to the Bills being any good! I mean the 20th pick in the Draft is not usually a franchise guy (Boller Grossman) so I say

Texans 28

Bills 7

Losman pulled 2nd quater! :woot

But what about McGahee, he was my favorite player when he was on the 'Canes , and im not sure if we can handle him... Any Thoughts?

I will continue to say we are in trouble and I hope we don't get Carr killed in the 1st game. They have a defense and, as yet, we have no improvement in the O-line. We have yet to make a personnel change there, and given last season's showing, I would be very concerned and I am. Our O-line is literally the laughing stock of the league, but nobody wants to pay attention, because we need more defensive players. Actually, that's true too. If the defense has improved by a wide margin - and it possibly has - the preseason scrimmages and workouts may be very embarassing for the O-line. Will that be enough to help them get better, I don't know. Who can get better on the O-line? I would think Wade, Weigert, McKinny would have relatively little upside potential. Only the left side of the line has upside potential, but without a strong center we are dead. I will go back to McNair's statement that we are going to protect David. So far that's simply BS. The only thing people can point to is 1 more year and may be some changes again in the blocking schemes. Boy were those successful last year. I'm sorry, but this is absolutely the most glaring weakness of this team at this time.
