Which team(s) has best draft so far?

Lions!

Williams was an odd pick but well worth it.
Cody in the 2nd was a HUGE steal.
S.Wilson in the 3rd is great value at CB.

I'm loving the Jaguar's picks... Every minute I am loving the Matt Jones pick even more. 12 for 12 in the senior bowl with catches... apparently didn't miss any balls when the Jags worked him out. Speed, size, everything... great hands.

And then we got our OLT in Barnes to protext Leftwich if Pearson isn't back at 100%.

Depending on who the Jags get now... in the third round.

Detroit is my favorite - but I agree that Baltimore got huge value when they picked
Clayton (who will help their O so much opposite Mason) and Cody are great picks

The Ravens get value at need positions every year. It's a given that they'll have a good draft.

Savage has done an excellent job thus far for the Browns, and I'd even toss St. Louis into the mix as well. I think Oakland is having a pretty bad draft.

Bucs did pretty good. I think Caddy might be the best RB in the draft after it is all said and done. They got a good pick in Ruud to replace Quarles at MLB in the 2nd, and they got a good pass catching TE in Alex Smith in the 3rd that most had going in the 2nd. No one is talking much about Tampa, but they did good, especially if Cadillac ends up being solid.

Oh, and let's not forget Detroit. Everytime we get close and I look to see who is still available, they snatch up a good pick that we should have gotten.

Packers, considering they picked 24 and still got Aaron Rodgers. And Rodgers ought to be happy he'll be learning from Favre, and will have no pressure to start this year.

Well, I can tell you that its not us. I really liked our first pick, even passing on DJ, but taking a RB in the 3rd when we still have OL problems *sigh*.

I like what Arizona has done with their picks...They may not be the best, but the stick out to me off the top of my head...

I clicked on this thread to bring up Arizona...

First - Antrel Rolle
Second - JJ Arrington
Third - Eric Green
Third - Daryl Blackstock

As far as improving the talent level on your team, I don't think any team's done better.

I completely agree that Arizona has done well. The were missing a slot at OT but this draft isn't that great for it. They filled positions of need very well and got talent that wasn't reaching.

i dont know about yall but i would love to trade our draft for cowboys =) eventhough cowboys are our sworn enemy.. they got some good players that would be perfect for us. Travis Johnson might be ok...

I'd have to say that the Charger are filling in nicely as well.

Rd Sel# Player Pos. Ht. Wt. School
1 12 Merriman, Shawne OLB 6-4 253 Maryland
1 28 Castillo, Luis DT 6-3 306 Northwestern
2 61 Jackson, Vincent WR 6-5 241 Northern Colorado

They should increase their defensive pressure with those guys.

I like the Chargers picks too. I was a little surprised that Jackson went in the 2nd, but he will definately be a nice big target for Brees or Rivers.

Cleveland and Dallas. Dallas just loaded up on defense and Cleveland got 3 guys who could start.

I disagree with Detroit having a great draft. I agree he would be considered a great pick at 10 but not if you have already gone wr the two previous years early in the first round and have another high paid wr(hakim). The draft isn't about picking the top overall player, its about picking the best player for your team. The Lions defense was pretty bad and there were quit a few guys there for them to take. I think they will turn into the Chiefs of last year. No. 1 offense in the league and one of the worst d's in the league which equals no playoffs.
