Well go ahead and add another one to the list of Cowboys players getting arrested and most likely put on probation. Man this list of Cowboys mal contents is long going back to the 90's. It just never stops. It just ups the Cowgirls con count.

Hey playing for Jerry Jones is enough to drive ANY man to drink. I'm amazed Troy Aikman didn't have a drinking problem.

No, it is exactly the opposite. What player wouldn't want to play for Jerry Jones? He clearly doesn't care if you get into any trouble or embarrass the team. Hell, he'll reward that kind if behavior and make you a team captain.

And yes playing for Jerry Jones will drive you to drink. Not because you're frustrated, but because it Jerry Jones will encourage it.

Where have you guys been? I can't believe it took over 24 hours for this news to break. LOL, don't think a count down wasn't going on.

Well sorry we didn't get it up earlier, but what can we do? :user:

Are you upset by this guy's actions or are you just used to it with the Cowboys?

Players don't make me upset. Were you upset when Jacoby was arrested for DWI or when Pitts was tasered?

I really think you need a new hobby. The Cowboys are FAR from the most arrested team..not even close and you are taking something a few players did 15 years ago and then transferring it through the 15 years to a "every year" thing.

I'll copy what I said on this a long ways back....before PacMan did screw up again. You can google arrests in the NFL and get your answer yearly. I don't like arrests or guys like PacMan or Tank(who hasn't been in trouble as a Cowboy)but your enthusiasm is really off. I'm sure part of it is baiting. :)

See this is where I get peeved. When the Cowboys had problems it was 15 years ago. 15 YEARS. The Texans have had more DWIs and problems than the Cowboys since then. The Vikings, the Bengals and a ton of others have had a lot more arrests.

Let me run some stats real quick. In 2006 the Charger team had 3 people out there who ranged from selling cough syrup, to being shot by an off duty officer to a DEA probe. The Vikings led the league in arrests in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Denver had an average of 1-2 arrests every year from 2000-2006. In 2008 the Bears had 5 arrests...Tank twice, The Chargers 6, The Bengals 10...the Cowboys 1....a guy who came from the Texans and didn't even really play..Marcus Coleman.

...............Charles Haley was a mental case and did well in Dallas. Tank didn't get in trouble last year. I am just not going to pretend that the NFL doesn't have their good and bad.

New hobby? Sorry, but I just find Jerry Jones to be a disgraceful owner and the Cowboys currently are a disgraceful team. Anyone who knows anything about the NFL knows that the Cowboys go after a lot of the low lives. I'd list many of them but that would be a waste of time. You'll probably spin each example your own way. The bottom line of facts though recently is that you guys have TO destroying the team and Jerry doesn't care. James attacking fans and Jerry doesn't care, and now Spencer getting arrested as well and Jerry won't care. Oh, and let's not forget the fist fights that had to be broken up on the team flight after their loss to Philly.

I talked to tons of Cowboys fans every day and I remember when you guys got that team cancer egotistical jack ass in TO and I told tons of CowPokes fans that TO was a cancer and he would ruin their team. I had to listen to so man arrogant Cowgirls fans go on and on about how great TO was and how he had changed and how they were going to win a SB with him and blah blah blah. And TO did destroy the Cowboys this year, and finally some Dallas fans are finally owning up to it, but the majority of them that I talk to still try to stick up for him and spin it the other way and act like TO isn't that bad. I listened to a ton of Pan Man Jones apologists once they knew that he was on the Cowboys radar. They all of a sudden didn't care about what happened to Tommy Urbanski. And now look at what happened? Pac Man is being talked about with another shooting, and ONLY NOW Cowboys fans want him gone.

And why are you attacking the Texans on a Texans board. For one, the Texans are one of the classiest teams in the NFL and everyone knows that Mcnair doesn't bring in thugs and low lives if he knows about them before hand. We've had a few arrests but nothing major at all, and the worst one probably was Mathis and he was released right after it happened. When does Jerry Jones ever release anyone when they're arrested. He never does. What did Jerry do when Michael Irvin stabbed his own team mate on the team's property? Nothing, he kept that attempted murderer of his own team mate under wraps for years the sly little fox Jerry is and even made Irvin a team captain.

Hey, I used to be Cowboys fan myself. My whole family was. Up until the point where Jerry Jones bought the team and told Landry to get the hell out of town the way he did. We turned in our stars at that moment and I've never looked back ever since. You should as well. I could never root for a Jerry Jones owned team.

This hit my Dallas board after it first happened. Was wondering myself how/why it took so long to become a thread here.

How's the air up there?

How many of those nine losses did solely TO contribute. Do you suppose they lost because they were spending more time sulking because TO was on the them?

[bold]I talked to tons [/bold]of Cowboys fans every day and I remember when you guys got that team cancer egotistical jack ass in TO and [bold]I told tons[/bold] of CowPokes fans that TO was a cancer and he would ruin their team.

What show do you host?

I had to listen to so man arrogant Cowgirls fans go on and on about how great TO was and how he had changed and how they were going to win a SB with him and blah blah blah.

Why did you HAVE to listen. Mental cut and splice really works wonders when folk tend to talk too much

And TO did destroy the Cowboys this year, and finally some Dallas fans are finally owning up to it, but the majority of them that I talk to still try to stick up for him and spin it the other way and act like TO isn't that bad.

I really think you are giving TO too much credit. However, why are you spending so much time talking to people that don't share your zeal?

I listened to a ton of [bold]Pan Man[/bold] Jones apologists once they knew that he was on the Cowboys radar. They all of a sudden didn't care about what happened to Tommy Urbanski. And now look at what happened? Pac Man is being talked about with another shooting, and ONLY NOW Cowboys fans want him gone.

I'm no Pac Man (I assume that is who you are referring to)apologist. I don't hold it against Jerry to give Pac Man a chance, and I don't know of anyone who looked at it in any way other than giving a troubled player a chance and the ball was in his court on what he chose to do with the opportunitiy. As far as the second charge, I will give the benefit of the doubt until the truth becomes apparent, either way.

I think that the taser incident was warrantless, although I wasn't there, and the Pitt incident was a non story as far as I was concerned, but most people do pull over and remain in their vehicle until the police gives the ok to proceed. Loose pit bulls is major, cars wrapped around trees could have killed innocent people in addition to the driver, domestic abuse x2 is major. I'm sure I could come up with more if I directed questions in the right places, but I really don't care enough to do so.

What did Jerry do when Michael Irvin stabbed his own team mate on the team's property? Nothing, he kept that attempted murderer of his own team mate under wraps for years the sly little fox Jerry is and even made Irvin a team captain.
News to me, well not really in the purest sense of the term. The account seems to reek of histrionics.:thisbig:

Hey, I used to be Cowboys fan myself.
BULL

My whole family was. Up until the point where Jerry Jones bought the team and told Landry to get the hell out of town the way he did. We turned in our stars at that moment and I've never looked back ever since. You should as well. I could never root for a Jerry Jones owned team.

It appears there is a lot of looking back. I've more or less been in it for the long haul for teams that I'm a fan. I am not an Eagles fan, never have been, never will be. Will I keep up with their issues? Heck no! They can all have personal rap sheets, and I won't care any more or less than I do now. However, the indifferent attitude is usually the one that makes the boldest statement

Dear Lord, get off your high horse and wake up. Talk about spinning. Did you even read the FACTS I printed for you or did you just gloss over them because you were already preaching and typing?

You can't name people because there aren't that many, You name Irvin and Nate Newton and maybe 3-4 other guys over a 15 year span but whiff completely that the 90s team was dominated by guys like Aikman, Moose, Novachek, Norton, Jr, etc, etc. Some of the best and most respected guys in the league. You fail to see the 99% of the team now that are good people. Since when did Tank get in trouble while in Dallas? When did TO get arrested or ever get in trouble off the field?Do I think TO is a punk..Yes, but not a bad citizen.

Again, if you want arguments we can spend all day looking at charitable players vs bad players but you are hidng about the NFL and the stats I just laid out for you saying that there are worse teams and that the FACT is that EVERY team in the league has a "few" bad seeds. Its just like society. I have friends that got DWIs in theit past and are good family guys with great jobs. Are they felons or thugs?Because that is how bad your argument has gotten. Yet you still don't acknowledge that the Texans have had their own. I can point it out because it is a Texans board and you opened the door...to use a law analogy..I am a lawyer..lol...to the questions. You can't just be obsessed with one team.

You have to be kidding on about a fight on a flight. If you think teams don't fight in the lockerroom, after games and in practice, you shouldn't be watching football. You are reaching with your go-go gadget desperation.

The FACT is that the NFL is a microcosm of society and every arrest doesn't add up to a bad person. People make amends and move forward. I don't like thugs on the team like PacMan but to me they spent nothing to give the guy a second chance and now he is on the street. I don't like his attitude or TOs. I don't like alot Jerry does but you really need to wake up, look at the facts, do some research and realize how much you are reaching compared to the rest of the guys on a 53 man roster.

Pitts, Jerome Mathis, Jacoby....all arrested but I don't think they are bad people and I don't put them on the face of the team. Stop being blinded by an ignorant few.

BTW, I hate that excuse of what Jerry did to Landry. He should and could have handled it better...ALOT better..but Landry was past his prime and needed to go and I'm a fan of the team for life, not the owner. People jumping ship is really weak. Do I think the Cowboys do everything right? No. Do I get annoyed with some of these guys in the team and what they stand for?Sure. Do I think they are the norm for the Cowboys? Not even close. Here is an article pointing out the stats of the NFL and real life and how they mirror each other

http://awfulannouncing.blogspot.com/2007/04/nfl-player-arrests-are-just-like-ours.html

Here are additional arrests from 2007...wow, no Cowboys..except PacMan as a Titan and multiple Patriots...what thugs they are in NE

P.S.--My argument isn't spinning. It isn't even a Cowboy defense. It is just explaining a reality in pro sports.

Ah, Frog, you need to get your facts straight. Pitts was never tasered, he was arrested for not stopping and pulling over. It was a misunderstanding with the police officer. He thought they wanted him to go, and when he left, the police went after him and arrested him when he pulled over. The case was dismissed in court I believe. I don't think Pitts would ever knowingly disobey a police officer's order, because his dad was a cop.

The one you're thinking of is Fred Weary who was pulled over by a female police officer. I think she panicked when he got out of the car and tasered him. The charges were dropped and I think Weary had a suit against the city. Not sure what happened after that.

As for Jacoby, I haven't heard the outcome, probably community service and probation. Don't know if he has a problem or not. And Mathis, well, he's long gone after all the trouble he was getting into during the off season (pit bulls on the loose, pregnant girlfriend beating, etc..).

Are the Texans personnel perfect? No! No one is, but I think McNair tries his best to have a team with as clean an image as possible. Some of the fans here don't like a clean image. They think we have to have some "bad apples" on the team just to get a mean attitude. All I can say is, don't hold your breath for us signing Pacman or any other so called troublemakers. It ain't gonna happen! JMHO!

Sorry for getting the guys confused. My bad..I knew one of the other linemen had traffic trouble too. I'm actually one of the people here that said that I thought the cops probably screwed Weary....not a big cop fan. :)My main point was that things have happened on this team despite trying their hardest to keep it clean and at no point did anyone associate it with the team or hold it against these guys. It's a double standard to do otherwise. Just because a guy makes a mistake or is arrested, as your examples pointed out, doesn't make them guilty or bad. As I said the league is just like society and you can't have a perfect 53. PacMan and a maybe a few others over the years have been over the top. I don't like them on my team but it happens. As I pointed out in the articles teams like Denver...where our staff was..and other teams have had more trouble by far this decade yet no one associates it with their team like they do Dallas and that is because of the early 1990s team and maybe 3-5 players over those years. So the vikings lead the league in arrests for 3 years and Denver averages 1-2 per year from 2000-2006 yet no one notices or cares...why?Because they aren't the Cowboys where people love them or hate them.

Thanks for the info.

P.S.--My argument isn't spinning. It isn't even a Cowboy defense. It is just explaining a reality in pro sports.

I don't need you to try explaining to me about the differences between arrests and how regular people get them. I know this. You seem to be missing the point. Jerry Jones has always made it apparent that he doesn't care at all how many times a guy gets arrested or for what the crimes are. NO TEAM IN THE NFL SHOULD PICK UP PAC MAN. All of his arrests just about have involved violence and where he has assaulted women more than once, jumped bouncers in night clubs and even had one shot, bitten a police officer, I mean hell I could go on and on.

It's the types of stuff that certain players do. Michael Irvin stabbed his own team mate over an argument over hair cut or something like that on the team's property. How do you stab another employee of the company you work for and not only not go to jail but become a team captain? Don't even try to explain or rationalize that one.

All anyone has to do is pay attention to the NFL the last 5 to 6 years and it isn't hard to figure it out that Jerry and Mike Brown of the Bengals go after a lot more of the embarrassing types of players. I have never expected players to be perfect, but I don't want my owner going after guys like Pac Man Jones and Chris Henry.

And when did I ever mention TO gettin problems with the law. Never accused him of that. TO's problems are much worse. He berades team mates all over the sidelines and creates internal problems within his QB and other WR's and divides team mates. What I don't like to see and what I don't respect is the way Jerry doesn't shut him down and make him STFU!! I'll respect the Eagles organization because they sent him packing when he caused all those problems. As great of a player as he was, they had their STANDARDS and PRINCIPALS unlike the Cowboys. They'll only empower TO even more. What you fail to realize is that even though I may hate the COwboys, I still have admiration for certain players on the team like Witten, Romo, and Barber, and I hate to see their season end in termoil and have to deal with such a cancerish clown who has already done this crap to two other teams. I don't like to see any owner of any team allow a guy like TO to act the way he does. It just makes you lose more respect for them and how they run their organization.

Now I'm sure you respond with a few example players from this team or that team, but I'm aware every team has arrests here and there and every team has a negative. I'm not happy with every thing Mcnair does either, but Jerry Jones is an apple from a different type of tree. And that is a tree that I wouldn't want to eat any apples from. I don't care for food poisoning.

It's funny then that Jerry Jones and McNair are best buds in the NFL and that McNair has even praised Jerry.

http://www.cowboysplus.com/topstory/stories/101506cptexanslede.375c214.html

Jones has also gained a friend and another big-market ally in NFL circles. Jones said McNair was "one of the top four to five owners" the moment he stepped into the league. He values McNair's integrity and commitment and took a boat trip with him this summer.

"He fires me up," Jones said.

"We're good friends," McNair said. "We work on a lot of things together that are league matters, and we're usually on the same side of the fence.

"As this has gone forward and we've gotten to know each other well, I'd say there is a high level of trust. We talk about a lot of things that are important to each of us and are helpful to each other.
"

So it doesn't look like their "trees" are too different..lol

You keep bringing up PacMan and that signing and then the Bengals now. You know the examples I gave of Denver, Minny, etc are just as bad..keeping players and resigning or signing players is the same thing. So I'm not sure know I'd now that Jerry ALWAYS makes it apparent that he loves to sign bad players. If that is the case why did he sign Zach Thomas and many others? You are missing the point. You are generalizing so much that you can't see that there are ALOT of teams that are no different. They just don't have the publicity.

As for Irvin. He was years ago. Again, in the same vein as the 90s team I talked about. He was a leader, etc. He had issues and as far as I know has exorcised many of them. That isn't an excuse for his past behavior. But as I said above..you are forgetting 13-15 years in between and are making a few on that team and PacMan your rallying cry for Jones having no morals without looking at the reality of the last decade or more. You can't take the giant leaps you are taking. Why not write Denver posts? They seem just as bad..or Charger posts...that's right, you arent obsessed with hating them.

Again, there are no excuses, you just can see the reality of the NFL and that your hatred for one team clouds the reality of what has been going on around the league.

Stop trying to bring up all of this stuff about Mcnair and Jerry Jones being carbon copies of one another. They are nothing alike. So they are friends? And? Until Mcnair is going way out of his way to sign an attempted murderer and begging the commish to reinstate him then you can talk about the similarities, but right now there are none. If you want to talk about an owner who has similarities to Jones, then you've got Mike Brown and Al Davis. There was an article just last week asking the question is Jerry Jones AL Davis 2.0? I'd say he is getting to that point.

Another thing that many people hate about Jerry Jones including myself is his arrogant way of thinking he is like a coach and how he won't allow his coaches to do their job without interfering and medaling. As a fan I would hate that. He screws with the cohesiveness between the coaching staff and the players and he has done that for years. Everyone knows that is why Jimmy left. everyone knows that is what ultimately made Parcells want to get the hell out of Dallas. And now everyone knows that is exactly why he wants an under achieving coach like Phillips to coach there because he is a YES MAN.

And while you keep trying to paint this picture like I'm not aware of what goes on around the NFL is a freaking joke. I'm about as informed about the NFL as anyone you'll find. You just don't want to face the reality of what killed the Cowboys this season, and a ton of us predicted this before the season. The Cowboys had one of the most talented teams I had ever seen coming into this season, and they couldn't even make the playoffs and got embarrassed relentlessly down the last stretch of the season, but yet you keep acting like I'm making all of these reaches here and making all of these exaggerations. Sorry, but the current state of the Cowboys is proof that what I've been saying this entire time has is true. I could care less of how deep your denial is, but again the reality is that the Cowboys were the SB favorite and couldn't even win their last game in Texas Stadium or make it to the playoffs. Tank was jawing at team mates and whaling around after a pretty average season. TO was all over the sidelines spreading his poison, Phillips was just sitting around with his jaw wide open looking like Dom Capers, James attacking fans, Roy Williams looking like he isn't even good enough to hold Kevin Walter's jock strap after trading away those picks and giving that overrated guy all of that money, Romo looking like he is stressed out and not enjoying football anymore, and Newman calling people cowards. Did I leave anything out? I actually did. Not enough time to write about everything that happened.

Any way all of that is a result and consequence of Jerry being typical Jerry and trying to sign Big Name guys and Big time talents without even caring to think about chemistry. He likes the splashy names he feels that the splashy name guys to quote him bring the "GLITTER AND GLITZ". What you fail to realize is that I'm not just talking about players getting into trouble, I'm talking about POOR CHARACTER guys. When you have enough of them in one locker room you get what you got this year.

People have the whole WHY of Jimmy leaving wrong. Jimmy left because he had been there 5 years and that's what Jimmy does. Jerry got pissed at Jimmy because he did an interview and in that interview he said he would be interested in the Jacksonville job (Jimmy apparently LOVES Florida). That ticked Jerry off. He has said that winning changed everything for them both....it was personality driven...but they had been friends for years dating back to college and personally I think it was a whole lot of wrong being done to the other by the both of them. It was NOT entirely Jerry. It just wasn't. Jimmy has a habit of going somewhere, staying a few years and then he's bored and goes elsewhere. This other guy named Parcells does the same thing.

I do wish that Jerry wasn't so hands on. It does create problems. But it is what it is and what it is is he's got the billions and can run his company the way he wants. It's been that way for TWENTY YEARS now. I've gotten use to it because I like the team far more than I dislike the owner.

I will say my passion has abated a great deal..I am not living there anymore and the opportunities to go to the Cowboys games in person isn't there....but that is not because of Jerry. It's because of the way the TEAM performs or underperforms. That's Romo. That's Newman.

I wish he would leave PacMan and those types alone. And I don't care for TO because he is a problem. But my like of the team is enough to keep me interested above what they might do.

So just to correct this perception that Jerry ran Jimmy off...it was a combination of a whole lot more than just that....and Jimmy was just as responsible as Jerry. It was a marriage that ended up in divorce and they were both to blame. But Jimmy got MILLIONS to leave so don't cry for him.

I'm starting to doubt the bolded sentence. Your anger and inability to read facts shines through with every over the top post. You fail to see where I have admitted to the the players character flaws and where I have not made excuses but pointed out the flaws in your logic...and this is how you started the thread..."Well go ahead and add another one to the list of Cowboys players getting arrested and most likely put on probation." So you opened the door to having a discussion about arrests in the NFL. When other teams were mentioned and the FACTS pertaining to their owners and their records were brought to light you admitted you didn't want to hear it and that you could ignore the Texans players named. You then, in this post, start babbling about teamwork, players, glitz, etc, etc. Way to get off topic. In fact you must have completely been away on vacation when myself, Starstruck and WWJD panned our team for being heartless and for having players that didn't fit.

Don't write about this "typical" Cowboy behavior if you don't want the truth about the league you allegedly know about. The truth that it isn't a Cowboy behavior but a league behavior that only affects a few people a team.

If you want to talk Chemistry among players in a lockerroom and how it affected the Cowboys...well we can agree. It did. But I don't think chemistry actually relates to arrests and thugs...your original thread starter. Chemistry comes from all kinds....T.O.s, Romos, etc. They didn't have it. I mean your seccond paragraph is full of just made up, condensed items about guys jawing with teammates. I forgot, you know about the NFL and how guys on teams NEVER fight or get into it with each other...or have conflicts.

Stick with a subject. If you don't like the fact that someone showed you the errors of your ways, then start another obsessive thread on Chemistry. Just don't go off on tangents when you are wrong. I've done nothing but admit to players being idiots, bad moves and I've pointed out what the league is full off...a select few knuckleheads that exist EVERYWHERE.

You sure have a very keen way of putting words into my mouth and stating things that I haven't done. I never said that I don't want to hear about Texans arrests. I'm fully aware of them, but we don't have a bunch of repeat offenders, nor do we go out looking for players who get into a ton of trouble. Jerry loves that kind of stuff. You keep trying to bring the Texans into this, but like I said the Texans don't have near that kind of dynamic on their team. It's not even close. The worst arrest I could think of was Mathis and he was released right away and long gone with a good riddance sign on his back.

And funny how you won't address all of the medaling and tooling with the team that I mentioned before, and only want to use the arrest records thing as if that was the only argument I ever made on the subject. I gave you a ton of examples of why Jerry Jones is bad for hos own team. You just won't accept it no matter how many facts or questionable things he does, because you're a homer for the Cowboys. That is fine with me, I really don't care. Personally, I hope that Jerry doesn't change for the sake of his franchise. Although I do hate to see the few respectable players like Witten and Barber and Thomas get screwed out of more success because of the things their owner does and how empowers a guys like TO to run rampant and hurt the team's moral. Hell, that was even a BIG reason why I got rid of Barber this season in fantasy, because I saw that time bomb coming. And TO and his little tirades actually helped me in fantasy football because they wouldn't throw the ball to Witten after he mouthed off about it so much. I predicted this enitre Cowboys season like clock work and it really helped me win some money. That is the one thing I can thank TO and some of the other bad apples for. Their downfall became totally predictable this year.

And stop saying this rhetoric about me acting like other teams don't have a bad player or two in their locker room as if I said that or something. You have put a ton of words in my mouth. My whole point has been that grabbing those types of players is and has been Jerry's MO and his thing. Sure, any team can grab a guy that starts acting like an ASS or get into trouble. They can't control everyone, but when you go after guys knowing their chaotic history and knowing what they have done to other teams and will most likely do again, then that is setting a bad precedent for your team and your team's image. The Bengals have a horrible image for doing just that as well. They won't dump Chad Johnson it seems like no matter what he does, just like Jerry won't dump TO no matter what he does.

Jerry now has ran off 3 legendary coaches in Landry, Jimmy Johnson, and Parcells. He medals, interferes and has the wrong ideas of how to build his franchise. He needs to hand over the keys to one of his sons. I hope he doesn't for a long time though, because he doesn't seem to ever learn any way. Jerry will be Jerry and the Cowboys will be the Cowboys. With all of that talent they are still not really even better than the Texans right now. At least we finished off the season on a good note and didn't have players at each other's throats. I'm not having to wake up in the morning and read about Pitts attacking some fan and breaking his glasses out side of Reliant Stadium, or having to see some interview with Steven A Smith where Andre Johnson is teling the world that our scheme sucks and that Owen Daniels is going behind his back telling Shaub to throw balls to him instead.

Again, I didn't address certain subjects because the subject of the thread is arrests and how you said a guys PI was so typical Cowboy. That is the SUBJECT. You can sit there and say that it wasn't a Texan thing to do but can you not say that Denver and the others that led the league this decade would then fall under teams with problems?I pointed out years of arrests with no Cowboys yet you keep saying this is a "trend." It isn't.

The subjuect of Jerry meddling is a whole different subject and AGAIN, as I pointed out, I have admitted he meddles too much and is a problem.

However, and we can make this another subject...lol.., and this has been spelled out 50 times on here, it is assinine to bring up Jerry like he is this horrible owner without addressing that he is in large part responsible for how the NFL is made today money wise and how guys like McNair make money on their stadiums. He is the one that brought in Visa, Pepsi, etc for stadium sponsorship and he still has a huge amount of clout in NFL owner circles. So to act like he is just Satan sitting there with a 53 player prison team is laughable. This is a far reach from a guy like Al Davis and others who have some pull but have gone more into the shadows.

Also, learn your facts. Jimmy left Jerry, not vice versa...look at WWJD's post above. Parcells also left on his own accord and agreed he didn't want to come back. He also had many of these same players on his team mind you.

Again, it is almost impossible to talk or debate rationally with a person like you because when you are wrong about the subject at hand not only do you change subjects but you then ignore my threads and still state that I'm not addressing non-subject material. The difference between you and I is that I acknowledge JJs substandard work as GM, his meddling and his ability to bring in a wrong guy or two. However, you cast a black cloud over him as a whole and then make sweeping generalization based on hatred for a team and its owner. You have alot to learn. Until you look at the league as a whole and start realizing that casting stones in one direction is foolish and inane then you will constantly just get laughs. I'm used to it here. Most that constantly fill this forum up with Cowboy news have this same agenda. I actually rarely bring them up because I'm here to talk Texans, football and other subjects. It's just hard to ignore when people's obsession gets in the way.

So basically you have chosen to pick and choose what arguments to address in which you feel you have a solid argument but dismiss the ones where you don't have as strong of a leg to stand on? That is real savvy of you. This isn't a compare and contrast thread about Jerry Jones. If it was I'd have no problem giving Jerry some credit here where it might be due. I gave credit for being a good financial guy when it comes to signing players and making the figures work within the cap in a previous thread that you were apart of and found out that it was his son that deserved the credit there. But don't sit here and act like I didn't compliment Jerry on that part of the business because I did. I never attempted to make this entire thread all about arrests and thug players from the Cowboys, it was more of the fact that they go after mal contents and whether it be thugs, team cancer players, or distraction types of guys they're still all mal contents that effect the team's chemistry. You just chose to try and make it about arrests yourself, and only wanted to address that part.

I would have given the Cowboys all the credit in the world for going after Anquan Bolden, but instead they went after an overrated guy in Williams and gave up a ton for him. That was one of those "Glitter and Glitz" moves Jerry was referring to. A quick move out of desperation, despite the fact that Sam Hurd has shown that he is capable of making plays and so has Bennett. Crayton is still no slouch either. And let's not forget about Jerry wanting to trade off Barber before last season to attempt to get Mcfadden. Again, another "Glitter and Glitz" type of move that he had up his sleeve. God that would have been dumb, especially when his better counter part would be there later on in the draft. At least he did the right thing there, but he wanted Mcfadden which would have been another Al Davis type of move.

Team chemistry! I like that term. Anyone recall a few years back, not the 15 year variety, but some chemistry deficiencies in the Texans locker room? If not mistaken, it had something to do with the Golden Boy (at that time) David Carr. There was a player by the name of Robinson (Dante??)that expressed his displeasure to the media. Man this place almost exploded! It's really intersting now that the same player is almost a MB darling, and not only is the golden one gone, but now the center of the same MB jokes.:)

Is that all you can come up with? Lol!

You're going to have to do way better than that. Carr had been a horrible player for years. Someone had to do it at that point. Way different situation than TO ripping up 3 Pro Bowl proven QB's, and doing it the way that TO did with the press conferences and all. Not even close. TO rips QB's coaches, O lineman, and then plays the victim card, and oh yeah, this year he had another fight with a team mate which is one of the most respected Cowboys. The same guy on your avatar. WITTEN.

And that wasn't chemistry issues or problems. That was just pure suckage of a team. The coaching staff was horrible and most of the players were as well. You see, I don't make excuses for the Texans. You've got me confused with some of the other homers in here. I love the Texans, but I've never been blind to their inefficiencies. Team chemistry hasn't ever really been a big problem for them. It's been the coaching staffs and the lack of talent in our personel.

I give up. You are a real piece of work and can't even realize where this has gone. Without being in a frenzy and being so angry, reread my threads. You are the poster boy for letting anger get in the way of logic.

1) THIS thread was dedicated to Cowboy players being arrested. How many times do I have to point it out. You started it. Therefore I didn't pick and chose subjects. I commented on and discussed FACTS about arrests in the league.

2) Reread what I said about Jerry. I put it in all my posts...PLEASE. Meddles too much. Isn't a good GM. I didn't like PacMan. TO is a punk. I didn't pick and chose anything. I point out the good and bad and am a REALIST. I can look at both sides of the issues and admit when there is problems and point out deficiencies in other arguments.

If you would actually read anything you might be on to something. But people like you let anger rule your arguments so after you spin in circles 4-5 times chasing your tail, it becomes no fun for the rest of us.

And by the way. I was disappointed in what Williams brought but he still was considered a #1. Same Hurd and the others aren't stopping anyone from double teaming a #1. That is the point. Good players but they aren't players teams wake up sweating about. Just isn't happening. Also, when did Jerry want to trade Barber?Another made up fact. That was a draft "rumor" and was nowhere close to happening. They pinpointed Jones the whole time and also got Choice.

Would have been nice to have gotten Boldin...IF that were ever even true.

Facts were he was the one that stated he was unhappy in AZ..and the Cards came back and said they were not interested in trading him. Funny how all that talk died down once they started winning consistently. Winning does that to teams.

I heard that McFadden stuff but it was never acted on in any way that I know about. Just something to talk about on ESPN.

Jerry's son Stephen is the one that does all the Cowboys contracts but it all funnels back to Jerry for final approval. He does a masterful job of it although many of the signatures he's gotten have been from loser types. I give anybody that that uses that as an excuse to hate on the Cowboys. Jerry does allow way too much of that but it's his team, he's shown that he will go after that type if he thinks they can help the team. Seems as though he will never learn. And it absolutely has made the team worse. No doubt.

I don't think if I lived in Dallas still I would go to the Cowboys games but it wouldn't be because of Jerry. It would be because of underachieving play on the field. Because once the whistle blows it's all about how the guys play. And they've been horrid.

This I can agree with and talk objectively with. And I'm sure you remember me giving kudos to Jerry's son for the way he handles finances. He is very good at what he does.

Bolden will be gone for sure this year though. The Cards can't afford to pay him and Fitzgerald any more. Bolden is not making enough money for what he is worth and Fitzgerald is one of the highest paid WR's in the league. Bolden will go somewhere this season. Jerry had to have known that. That is why I just don't understand why he went out and got a proven overrated player in Williams and gave up all of that for him. Bolden was going to be there for the full season no matter what though. Bolden doesn't hate the team, he just isn't being paid enough and has a legitimite gripe as well.

I think the Cowboys would be fine though if they would just get rid of TO and roll with Williams, Crayton, Hurd, Witten, and Bennett. They have a good enough running game and WR's to still be a great offense. Their defense could still be a great team and they might not be as electrifying on offense without TO, but they would be plenty good enough to compete with that stacked defense they have right now. The most important part is that they would get rid of the team cancer and I bet Romo would go back to being a really good QB again. They could spread the ball around and find the open guy for a change without having to worry about getting team obliterator upset and him crying over not getting enough balls.

I am not a Crayton fan for some reason...I can't put my finger on the WHY of that but I wouldn't be upset if he was replaced by Austin at some point.

Their current corp of RB's should be fine for the future...I was most impressed by Jones pre injury and would prefer he get the ball more. But Barber is fine although I though Jason did a HORRIBLE job of playcalling for the last season.

I would rather they get rid of TO. He's a most talented player but not worth the grief and I sincerely doubt that he and Jason can coexist another year IF Garrett doesn't get another job that is. I don't see that happening and to date I don't think Jerry has commented about TO's status on the team but I could be wrong.

I no longer drink Romo koolaid...he is going to have to prove to me he has the stuff to lead this team. His post game comments after the Philly game still have me steamed. No leadership quality that I can see. And I think that is a necessity on any team.

I am most definitely anxious to see how Stephen Jones runs the team when that time comes. If I am still alive to see that time that is! From all I've ever read he is the exact opposite of Jerry in the dealings with players, etc. I don't think he will run the team with the same ilk of players that Jerry has.

Up to this point I had not seen enough Cardinals play to know just how good their wideouts are...Fitzgerald is all world and Boldin is very, very good. He'll be a great addition to any team.

Re Roy Williams...the spin is he's got a bad wheel but I think the dude gets lazy on routes....that's what Troy Aikman says anyway and he knows way more about that than I do. So I'll go with that.

That trade may have been a mistake. We'll know after next year I guess but right now it appears Jerry gave up way too much. Although the Cowboys have a boatload of picks this next draft. I guess he felt it was worth it.

We can agree on alot of this. I do want TO gone and would rathe rplay with that sent of receivers. I think TO made Tony press on many throws because somewhere people bitching about getting the ball has to get in your head. Crayton has some head problems..he was kind of a TO hanger on guy and though the thoughts are that he has the best hands around he always seems to make a few bad timed drops and plays.

I bet Boldin would have cost just as much and he has been off and on the injury reports...just not this year. When healthy though he is a beast. Just as good as Fitz in my book. I agree with WWJD that Roy W can be a really good receiver but I also think he is lazy on routes. I also think TO got to him.

Also, because WWJD and I talk about this alot, I agree with him on Romo. I think he has a little bit of an attitude that needs adjusting where football is a priority for a few years and where he is a little more vocal as a leader...the QB needs to get some respect. I think he pouted alot this season and shirked responsibility. I think he needs a good QB coach like Troy had Norv.

That's what Troy said..he said Roy doesn't finish routes. I dunno enough about it to know myself but Troy would. So that's disappointing. I always thought the guy was all world when he was a Horn and I love that he still does the "Hook em" sign when he scores.

He just never scores anymore! Somebody needs to fix that.

He has the skills...he, from what I have seen at times...just tries to muscle people and throw his hands up to where they should just throw it up...almost not like a route. Seems he does this when he rounds out routes instead of making cuts. Just from what I saw occassionally.

Well he better get coached better or that trade will be a bust. He's got the skills. Sounds like he's lazy...

I remember this comment so I thought this was a proper follow up. Kind of TO-like. WRs:foottap:

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals used only one receiver on nine of their final 14 plays in the NFC Championship Game.

Anquan Boldin was not that receiver.

Initial evidence suggests Boldin wasn't too happy with the situation.

As teammates streamed into the Cardinals' locker room after the 32-25 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, Boldin was seen leaving out the back door.

The two-time Pro Bowler was asked if an NFC championship helped alleviate any ill feelings he had toward the team.

"That's not an issue," Boldin said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. "Like I told you guys at the beginning of the season, my main goal was to do this. I've come through with all of my promises. I fought. I gave my heart to this organization. It's paying off."

Late in the game, cameras showed Boldin arguing with offensive coordinator Todd Haley on the sideline. Once the game ended, Boldin left the field quickly without celebrating.

In the locker room, Haley dismissed the sideline interaction as part of the game. He described himself as emotional.

"Just the emotions of the game," Haley said. "We're emotional guys. Like I said, I wear my heart on my sleeve and that's the way I go about business and I have to deal with that on a full-time basis."

Cameras also showed Haley and quarterback Kurt Warner in heated conversation, but Warner and Haley have a strong history.

Warner has even joked about spending so much time speaking with Haley that his wife has suspected the quarterback might be having an affair.

But Boldin's relationship with the team has been more contentious, stemming from a contract dispute.

Boldin even requested a trade in August, saying he didn't feel his situation could be resolved and declaring he has no relationship with coach Ken Whisenhunt.

Boldin has three years left on the four-year, $22.75 million extension he signed after the 2005 season that keeps him under contract through 2010. He's making an average of
$4 million a year.
