Cris Carter Would 'Shoot T.O Right Now'

Texecutioner

Hall of Fame
ESPN analyst Cris Carter has made his dislike for Terrell Owens quite clear all season. But while it’s one thing to say T.O. isn’t a team player, or that he’s a locker room cancer, it’s another thing altogether to suggest that, if you ran the Cowboys, you would take one bullet, load it in your gun and shoot Owens. Listen to Carter yesterday on Mike and Mike in the Morning:

Chris Carter has always been an outspoken guy. This was a stupid thing to say, although I love it when anyone says anything negative about TO. All they're doing is pointing out the truth.

Cowboys fans are going nuts over this. Lol!

It just shows the true stupidity of the typical Dallas fan. They love their TO despite the fact that he ruined the chemistry of one of the best offenses in the entire NFL. The Dallas Cowboys are embarrassing.

They are losers, and will be till Jerry Jones gets out of his own way. He loves the hype so much, he is allowing worthless P.O.S's to run his team and prevents a coach from taking control. Nobody with any upside wants that job.

I'm a Cowboys fan and hadn't heard a thing about it but it's a stupid thing to say and I am NOT a TO fan....

Geez...you don't say you are going to shoot somebody.

Dingbat.

I read on SN site early on before the season started that they were turning in their stars and would no longer root for a Jerry Jones team. I don't understand why more Cowboys fans don't jump ship. Jerry Jones has disgraced that organization more and more and the way he puts publicity over winning is pathetic. No matter what TO says or does or how much chaos he causes with the coaches or the players, Jerry treats him like a son and makes that head case a leader.

TO shouldn't be shot, but he should have someone beat the hell out of his ass. I don't know why someone hasn't done it yet or why so many football players seem to be intimidated by him.

And I have no idea why Jones would bring back Pac Man either. He wasn't any good and he attacked a team employee. The Cowboys have just been an embarrassment.

and, land where?

The Cowboys have just been an embarrassment.

Why are you embarrassed by a team that you don't even like? Sounds like wasted energy to me.

I read the Chris Carter comments a few days ago on a Cowboys website. I didn't really get upset, but what makes him such such a standup guy knowing that bullets are manufactured specifically to kill. Is football really that big of a deal?

I heard it when it was said last week and I'm guessing not many people heard about it because it's a non-issue. He said he would shoot T.O., as in get rid of him (real) Cowboy-style, as in not ask him back next year. Strange choice of words? Sure. Issue? No.

It was a dumb thing to say, no doubt. I just don't understand why Cowboys fans continue to support a Jerry Jones team? He brings in nothing but mal contents and jerks. He could care less about chemistry. He doesn't seem to care about winning. He just cares about the publicity. That isn't fair to die hard fans or great players like Barber and Ware who give their all and have it ruined over some ***** like TO and Pac Man who Jerry Jones lets do whatever they want no matter what it is. No other organizations put up with that kind of crap. Just the Cowboys.

Had the Cowboys been real smart they would've kept signing TO to one or two year deals to keep him on his toes and keep him from infecting a locker room. Once he figures he'll be around that's when he starts working the players around him. I don't doubt his ability one bit but it's his third team to implode, some quicker then others. Problem is I'm not so sure Roy Williams is the guy to replace TO's roster spot and his role in the offense. The team would be better off without TO. They could learn to manage games with Crayton and hope Williams turns it around next year but really concentrate on working with what looks like to be a real stable of running backs next year: Felix Jones, Marion Barber and Tashard Choice. Oh yeah and Martellus Bennett didn't look too bad this year either.

Cowboys have a wedsite?? Wow, I had no idea! ;)

J/K SS. I'm cool with you, Frog, WWJD, and a couple other "boy" fans that hang out here. You guys/gal are some of the good one's.

Awww, I'm blushing.:)

I still hope that TO works out as a Cowboy. I really like his work ethic and hope that some of the other negative stuff could be buried. I watched in dismay on the last game as he made to spectacular catches only for the ball to be immediately handed back to the Eagles as if in a how dare you move. Perhaps if we had an Andre Johnson or Randy Moss I would feel just a bit more comfortable with a WR move, but a Mr. drop a crucial pass Crayton in a critical playoff game, a recovering Detroit player Williams, whoa, not so fast.

This is exactly why Cowboys fans deserve to lose. You want a team cancer back on your team that ruined it this season and already ruined two other teams. You welcome a guy like that on your team after what he has done, then you deserve to lose.

TO will always be TO and especially in this situation because Jerry Jones doesn't care what he does. You saw the Eagles didn't put up with that crap and sent him packing and look at them now. They've got just average WR's and they embarrassed the Cowboys. Why? Because they have team chemistry and Comradery. They didn't fold and fall apart once they had some adversity like the Cowboys did and every other team with TO.The Cowboys have a good enough defense where they don't need that explosive of an offense. Sam Hurd is good and Bennett as well. They could use him in some two TE set packages and confuse the hell out of some defenses since Witten can still block really well.

Not one to dwell on one's past, but Chris Carter hasn't always been the squeeky clean preacher that he is of today. Anytime, Buddy Ryan cuts someone, there were certainly some issues to bring that about.

He brings in nothing but mal contents and jerks. He could care less about chemistry. He doesn't seem to care about winning. He just cares about the publicity. If Jones brings in "nothing but" mal contents and jerks, then that would also include Romo, Barber, Witten, Ware and the rest, wouldn't it? Again, I appreciate your opinion, but don't sweat it. I know, even in the playoffs, I could care less what's going on the Eagles organization. Goodness knows I am NOT an Eagles fan by NO stretch of the imagination.:)

Ya know (Palin speak) Texecutioner, I'm beginning to believe that you like to win through intimidation. Think Sam Hurd and Bennett are good, how about you take both of them in exchange of one Andre Johnson? I'll throw in Crayton too. Deal?:doot:

You answered your own question. We are fans of the team and most of us have been for decades....the 70s. There are a majority of good guys on the team that deserve support compared to the ones Jerry brings in....2-3. You also seem to gloss the good Jerry does the league. He is one of the main reasons the NFL is in the financial spot it is in today and he has the highest rated team in sports. Now this doesn't mean I like the man for his football knowledge or think he is a good GM or like the way he brings in some of these players but it worked in some cases...Charles Haley. There are a majority, in my book, of owners these days in sports who are about the bottom line and winning is secondary. Jerry isn't like that despite his great financial skills. The problem is his ego causes problems on the football side. But overall why would any real fan just dump their team. Also, and this is my 100th time asking it...if the Cowboys are so hated why is this already the second or third thread this week that is just to blast them? The Texans have problems of their own and by the way, they have had multiple people arrested too..they just don't count because they were ONLY DWIs and traffic stops with tasers.:).....I'd like to add again also that Jerry and Bob are close buddies so it isn't like Bob doesn't like the influence.

Right now Jerry is a major problem on the football side but peopel shouldn't abandon it...there is always hope he uses his energy and does the right thing.

Alright, I'll give Jerry credit on being a finance guy. He is good in that regard because I'm always wondering how he fits these high salary players together on the same team.

But other than that, sorry Jerry Jones is bad for his own team. He lets players get arrested over and over and could care less about his team's image. Pac Man attacked a team employee for god sakes. What more does someone have to do to lose their job? TO disrupts their team all the time and Jerry pats him on the back like TO is his son. It's pathetic. I'll respect an organization like the Eagles for standing up for their QB who is a class act just like Romo is and they didn't let TO get away with that crap. They didn't care how good he was or how many years he had left in the league. They said "We're better than this and we owe more to our fans".

And you expect me to give Jerry Jones credit for getting talented players? That is the object of the game is to get talented players. That is what he is supposed to do. He gets talented players alright, but doesn't think one bit about chemistry and how they'll gel together. This Cowboys team is probably the most talented team I have ever seen, but guess what not only was it pathetic that they didn't make the playoffs but they didn't even get into the playoffs. And that Pac Man guy talked all that crap all year long before the season. Hell, he was as cocky as anyone I had ever heard. And that stupid fool attacked his own body guard and what does Jerry do then? Begs Goodell to bring him back and the most stupid part is that Pac Man wasn't even any good.

And so what if Mcnair is cool with Jerry. Mcnair is probably cool with a ton of owners. And????????? Yeah, we've had a few arrests, but anyone who knows about the Texans totally knows that we go out of our way NOT to bring in players like that maybe even to a fault because I wish Mcnair would take a chance here and there on a few guys. And what happened with the guys that got arrested and did some bad stuff? They are GONE. Cook, Mathis, and a few others. GONE. Jacoby Jones might still be here, but he'll most likely be gone next year as well because all he is at this point is another Jerome Mathis 2.0 any way.

Don't get me wrong I do like a few Cowboy players like Barber, Romo, Witten, and Ware. But the way Jerry Jones brings in all of these trouble making guys with bad reputations and then ALLOWS them to screw up even more and pats TO on the back after all of the stuff he does on the sidelines week after week is poor ownership and management. Jerry may know a thing or two, but one thing he has never learned about is class and chemistry and trust. He'll never trust any of his coaches to do their jobs and let them control their team. The only trust he knows is the trust he gives to ***** players like TO and Pac Man.

I think Cris Carter would be wasting a bullet because T.O. is going to shoot himself in the foot just about every year regardless of what anyone else does.

Personally I enjoy having him up there keeping the NFL's eye on Dallas while remaining a constant threat to tip the cart over any given week. While everybody watches the circus the Texans just quietly go about their business and get better. I don't wish bad things on Dallas or anything like that, I just find it convenient to have this walking warning to others so close but thankfully not on my team. He provides an excellent contrast to Andre Johnson and I value that.

get off your high horses, all of you... i'm sure you've said you were gonna shoot someone who pissed you off. i'm sure you've even said you wanted to kill someone before.

Very true, but when I kick back with a cold beer in my recliner to watch my daily NFLTA, I'd rather not have to endure half a show's worth of "Dallas" the soap.

A sneak peek every now and then is fine, but I'd rather soak up useful info in regards to the NFL.

Oh please...as for making that type of statement I've never said I wanted to shoot somebody that made me mad. Who the heck walks around saying that? Lordy.

Jerry's son Stephen is the one that negotiates and finalizes all the contracts for the players; credit goes to him for that not to Jerry although Jerry says yea or nay to the players. But Stephen is the one that does the contracts.

Ha, thanks! Now I can take the one compliment back from Jerry Jones. Lol!

His son does a really good job at that though. I keep wondering how in the world they keep signing all of these high priced players. That kid knows how to move money around the cap and structure contracts well.

Jerry's kids are all very smart..and Stephen will be the one to take over for Jerry.

I have read he has the opposite approach to handling the Cowboys that his dad does so we'll see how that plays out. As it is..and Frog can tell you the same...he is his dad's right hand man and as involved in the team as Jerry is.

All contracts have to be approved by the league office. It's all how you crunch the numbers I guess. Personally I don't understand the salary cap myself too much...I'm math dumb.

Yup, I really like Stephen...a sharp guy. I even met Jerry Jr when he was in law school....I went to law school with JJs nephew..and he seems to know his stuff but seems to maybe have his Dad's persona.

Texecutioner, I wasn't going to answer the whole thread back there but it seems to me that people have this hate for Dallas and they think a few guys equals the team. I'm far from happy at where they are and think TO needs to go..but he isn't a criminal. PacMan should have never happened and Tank hasn't done anything wrong since being here but he hasn't played well either and he needed to go. You are right that they don't play as a team but a few guys doesn't take away from the whole. Its like the 90s team. Everyone just made dumb jokes because of Irvin, Newton and some bad seeds but Aikman, Moose, Novachek, Emmitt and most of the team were great guys. You act like Jerry has just brought in any thug out there. What is funny is that I hate the guys like PacMan yet I read and posted a Wall Street Journal article here from a few years back and teams like Denver, San Diego, Cincy and others were averaging 3 arrests a year and some of it was hard core. Yet people turn a blind eye because they aren't Dallas. I hate those guys on the team but Houston is the same town that hates on the Cowboys and then makes excuses for guys like Artest on the Rockets. It becomes comical. I just think many on this board have an unhealthy obsession for the Boys when many of us Boys fans never bring them up and are here to talk non sports or Texans.

As a Cowboys fans I hate the team right now and how they played heartless and I think Jerry brought in the guys that made this but as a lifelong fan I have to hope that he pulls his head out and does something right.

A few years ago due to following another news story in Tampa I happened up on one of their message boards and began to read Bucs news mostly out of curiousity. It was during the time they were in the Dungy must go mode. Much to my surprise my latest read included a lot of irate Bucs fans that were discussing giving up their season tickets. Once claimed to have been a season ticket holder for 32 years. They appear to hate the owners and the coach even less. If anyone is looking for some ship jumpers (appropriate), perhaps that is a place to recruit.

Your last few sentences echo my feelings exactly. They do play with no heart and that I hold to the players..they are being paid very well after all...but the loser lockerroom contributes to that apathy and they don't have the right coach to correct it.

It's either feast or famine with the Cowboys and it's been famine for many years.
