Are the texans going in to win against the bears?

Are we going in to spoil the bears? For some reason i get a vibe that they dont want to be assholes and ruin it for the bears. Dont know why but i do. Im thinking they want to test other players and see how they do in game situations.

I really hope we go into play as if it were a playoff game. We are going to get a ton of publicity with the bears needing this game to move on. If we win we are back on the map

The Texans have played hard all season. They refused to quit when they were 0-4, and 3-7; they won't quit now.

Will they win? No way to know with this team. They can beat anybody, or they can lay an egg.

They are a really good home team, so I would say they have a solid shot.

The question, or rather "the problem" isn't whether they come to play or just coast out the last 60 minutes of the season. They've been game almost all year long. The problem is whether the "stupid" Texans or the "smart" Texans show up. The clowns who walked into Oakland expecting the Raiders to lay down will get beaten badly and leave the field to a chorus of boos if they make an appearance Sunday.

Losing to the Bears at home on Sunday should be pretty much unthinkable to this team. If it isn't then they're missing something very necessary to become a winning team and contender. That they failed so miserably in Oakland says a lot about how mentally prepared they are to take the next step forward. In short "they aren't". How a team can starve for wins like the Texans have and then waltz into someone elses stadium expecting them to hand them a victory I'll never understand. Oakland told us that the Texans aren't ready to be winners yet. Losing to Chicago will tell us that they're fine with going back to being losers.

I'll be so damn pissed off if they don't come out there and beat the Bears on Sunday. I don't care if they "play well" or "give it their best". If they don't win that game then they're losers and not just on the scoreboard where everyone can see it. It's a classic statement game (we have so many of those around here don't we?) where the Texans start the next series of games to try and lay claim to turning a corner. If we do win then we'll spend all offseason hearing about how they won 5 out of 6 games to close out the year. Until they actually step up and win more than they lose it's all marketing department feces.

The main site splash page should look like this.

We come out and play like we got embarassed last week.

We hit hard, run hard, and grind their game down.

We don't do damn silly things, and we don't turn on each other when things don't go perfectly.

The Texans fans go home for the offseason, dreaming happily of a wildcard shot next season, and to buy more jerseys of the leading rookie rusher, Steve Slaton and organising their night to watch our Pro Bowlers bust it out on the league's best.

I agree with you and Herv on this. Here is what I wrote in another thread on here about this Sunday's game Go Texans and go Vickings. Lets beat the Bears and knock them out of the playoffs on Sunday while they play their starters besides the fact that a 7-9 record for this team would be a step backwards for our football team for sure. Matt pretend that your team is the team that is fighting for a playoff spot and make this game the best game of the season for you. Slaton run like you're in army training and no one is going to stop you from getting across the goal line for at least two or maybe even three TDs. O line block like you're getting an extra mill for every block you make. Mama's boy JJ return those kick returns right to mama on Sunday she wants her hugs from her baby boy. AJ act like the voting for the Probowl is still going on and catch those passes like you still need one more big game to prove to the whole world why they should vote for you to go to the big game and MW light the QB on fire and tell the D to play like they are hungry for burgers or whatever it takes to get them to play one of their best games of the season. Who agrees with this?

My post above was more of a way of saying get this team fired up I am not saying that is all going to happen in the game on Sunday but I sure hope that it does.
