...if there are any. I know there is at least one for Miami; not sure about Atlanta.

Your teams caught fire early on and beat the fast path to success. It must be very exciting.

someone please get a memo to Miami and Atlanta and let them know that rebuilding takes 8 years or so to reach .500 and another dozen or so years to break the rare air of 9-7 and above.

sincerely,
Texans fan

O.K. It is 4:00 AM, but when I read that, I almost laughed so hard my coffee came out my nose.:spit:

it's pretty awesome, and kinda surreal. Miami wasn't just 1-15 last year, they've sucked for a while now.

i'm not sure which is more impressive, Atlanta or Miami, but both Tony Sparano and Mike Smith will get serious Coach of the Year consideration

and while i don't think MVP should be awarded to the player most valuable to their team, Matt Ryan and Chad Pennington have certainly been so.

Very true. And what's the most obvious difference in those 2 teams between this year and last ? In terms of personnel guess it's their QBs ?
But it didn't take Parsells long to work his magic in S.FLA, have they also got a new GM/player-personnel guy in ATL ? And I dunno, do both teams have rookie HCs ?
Does this mean the 2010 SB is the Lions vs Chiefs ?

the Falcons have Rich McKay in charge, and he's great. he's been there since '03 though. it's just taken a while to get rid of the Vick stink, before and after he was sent to jail.

both teams have new QB's (Ryan is a rookie and Pennington showed up the final week of preseason), rookie head coaches and are coming off of abysmal seasons. key free agent pickups (Pennington for Miami, Turner for Atlanta), great production from the first rounders (Jake Long and Ryan are top 5 at their position this year), and new coordinators who are excelling at their job. they say this kind of turnaround is unprecedented, but honestly we seem to see it every year now, so i'm not sure it is so crazy. i say it all the time, the difference between the best team and the worst team isn't really that big of a chasm. the NFL is set up as such.

then again, St. Louis had the 2nd pick in last year's draft, and they look to repeat that feat this year, and may actually be worse.

"I am so disappointed right now ..that I would bet (if I were a betting man) that the tuna & co. will have the fins winning and in the playoffs before our Texans get there."

Maybe it is coaching.....Krap.....I really didn't want to be right about the fins.

The Texans...What a Jekyll and Hyde team.. :yikes: .or is it Heckle and Jekyll? idonno:

Rich McKay's in charge? In charge of what? Thomas Dimitroff is the Falcons GM now. McKay has been very successful in the past, but I'll give Dimitroff the credit for having the larger role in turning the team around.

BTW, the Vick stink is still the property of the Atlanta Falcons.

yeah, both franchises arent afraid to upgrade their coaching staff and aren't worried about hurting anyone's feelings.

if Richard Smith's sorry freakin arse is still our DC next year, the Texans can go to hell for all I care.
