Will the Bears pay for this??

Tailgate

Fall of Hame
What a putrid performance today by the Texans all around. Now we are faced with yet ANOTHER moral victory hurdle to clear. How do we respond to such a shocking loss? Are we good enough to take this anger and focus it on our next foe come Sunday? Are we really the beginnings of a team that can stand up to the big dogs? We need all the confidence we can get heading into a crucial off season.

This is a Texans team that lacks a personality, a drive and a focus to be the type of team that takes losses like this personally. The Bears aren't having that great a year, but when the Monsters of the Midway come to Reliant to play, I have a feeling they'll be facing the Houston "Meh"s.

This team has shown heart all year, what are you talking about!?

Will the Bears pay for this?

That question seems incongruous to me. It's not like the Texans were a big tough team that got tricked out of a victory. They are just a team that got soundly beaten by a bad team. They may be embarrassed enough to put in some effort next week, but I don't think they'll be showing the league what's what.

I think the Bears can probably figure out that without AJ our offense is nothing. So no, they probably won't play

I'm sure every team knows this.

People are overreacting to one loss. This is a young team, young teams are inconsistent. This Texan team has never even had a "Trap" game.
When was the last time the Texans went into a game actually expecting to win and being the heavy favorites?

Sometimes losses like this actually help the team in the future more than you think. They always say you have to fail first before you succeed.

The Texans today thought they were good enough to get a win today, they had their much needed slap to the face, but this one loss doesn't mean we've taken steps back.

Just because we may finish the season with a losing record does not mean we've taken a step back.

As far as i'm concerned i'm proud of what we did this season. We started off 0-4 and did not quit, our guys played with a lot of heart for most of the season.

This is a young team with a young coach. Yeah we didn't look good out there at times this season but growing up is never perfect. If we have all our players return(except the ones we don't want) and add some more good players we'll be right there.

Also this was a team loss if anything, i'm sure if we had any pressure on Russell he would have thrown us a couple of passes, if Slaton would have become a threat they couldn't stop our offense so easily.

The loss was bad but I feel no different than last week. I'm disappointed about the loss sure but excited about the future, even with Kubiak as the Head Coach. Everything always doesn't go according to plan.

OK so I have said this for like the last three or four weeks now.

This is an extremely important game. Not only does it set the tone for next year, but it demonstrates if we can come back and not take our ball and go home so to speak.

Also Chicago is a Team that is probably equal to us in talent, but their talent is on the defensive side of the ball. (I think we are slightly better, but just need to get over the hump.)

Well then, the Texans should be poised for success! Wait until next year!

:)

Well we were waiting for next year regardless weren't we?

Really guys, how you end a season doesn't carry over. We ended the season last year good and we are in the same exact place this season, and some teams ended the seasons on a horrible note and are going into the playoffs.

My point is, this loss doesn't just erase everything the 4 game winning streak, the fact that we were 0-4! We could've easily given up on the season (Just like the old texans) and be around 2-13 right now.

Our guys didn't do that. They flashed their potential and then we played the Raiders.

So yeah waiting for next year sucks, but no one was saying that when we beat the Titans last week.

we always play good at home but IMO deep down inside the team is tired. There tanks our on empty and there smart. Just like the rest of us the feeling is who cares about next week, we are already looking for next season.

I really don't understand the title to this thread....really now...this crap has already been paid for...by the fans. enjoy!

Nice slogan. I even have a theme song idea for the homebase dotcom guys. Just use my words to George Costanza's answering machine.

Believe it or not, the Texans aren't home.
Please don't play like bleep!
They must have lost, 'cause GP has a post,
On the message board maybe?
Texanstalk fan support or not, we lose when we're not home!
