Koren Robinson (speculation)

He's on the market for possibly a 4th or 5th rounder. The Seahawks don't want to do anything with this guy. Since we bought in Philip Buchanon, would we may be interested in another troublemaker?? He also has 1st round talent, and his talent is undeniable. i think we give this s.o.b another chance.

He's risky though, i heard he is a combination of Ricky Williams and David Boston in terms of personality. He's also one failed drug test away from being suspended for the season. I think we try him out for a 4th rounder. Might as well right?

No way, stay away from this guy. I could see the Raiders picking him up though...

how about trying out this cancer after he get's cut on June 1st. Do we try to sign him if we don't get our guy Troy Williamson, Mark Clayton or a worthy WR in the draft?

I say we might as well sign him to a 1 yr deal to see what he can do, and if he can turn his life around. The guy has talent, u can't deny that, he's just extremely immature, same can be said about PB.

Im not saying the Texans should turn the team into a whole bunch of disgrunteled,immature, cancer-like, players. But he's worth a shot if we don't get any WR's in the draft.

We have AJ, Gaffney, and just re-signed Bradford and we still have Armstrong. The only way we get another WR is in the draft.I doubt with his history of drug use that we even bring him in for a try out, much less sign him...

Even if he didn't have all of his off field problems, I wouldn't take him...The guy has bad hands and hasn't improved them since he's been in the league...AJ's hands weren't the best when he entered the NFL, but he worked at it, and now his hands are exceptional IMO...Didn't he only have 1 drop last year?

how is he a cancer? I have seen him drop many balls, but what has he done that would make you question his character? Not a ritorical question i havent heard of him doing anything...

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports Seattle Seahawks WR Koren Robinson is entering a crucial season in which he must produce on the field. While head coach Mike Holmgren has stood behind him, Robinson is working on his last chance.

He has also served a 4 game suspension for drug use...

i say no way we even bring this guy in for a workout.....he has a bad attitude which will onyl bring misfortune to the Texan organization.

I can definetly sense the sarcasm in Trapped's thread. The difference is, Buchannon has never been in trouble for drugs and Robinson has. The other difference is there isn't any kind of leadership shown in the Raiders organization like there is in the Texans. The perspective of the team is totally different then the one in Oakland. Our team is trying to become a winner and has alot of guys on that same page. Over there none of them really were on that page and it was even evident when we beat Oakland. You can't compare Buchannon who was only in trouble with a classless organization to a dude who was in trouble with the league because he is a dope head.

I dont see how we could afford to give up any more draft picks since we just gave up two. He didn't play all that solid last year either, i picked him as my no. 2 receiver on my fantasy team and he was on waivers by mid season. If he were to get cut then i wouldnt mind us picking him up but giving any picks up wouldnt be a good idea.

3 If this guy cant run the right route in a west coast system,those routes are one set route. he would be a nightmare on reciever option routes where he had 3 choices.

The Only reason we did the Buchanon thing is we have a coach that has worked with him prior and obviously vouged for the guy. Troy Williamson to me could be the second coming of Koren. Another possible future offield troublemaker from Gamecock Penn. That is no where near as good as the hype.

Ohhhhhh boy...that certainly is some speculation. This thread actually made me laugh, and I don't think it was supposed to be about humor.

Ok, first of all, he is still under his rookie contract which means the Seahawks are paying him next to nothing this year, so stomp out any ideas of him being cut, there is no way in hell. There would be like $0 cap savings, so if he isn't a cost issue, he will either be kept (for next to nothing) and given another chance, or traded, but cut will not happen. As for trading, if he is traded, he would be used to leverage a move up in the first or second round based on his star potential. They would not give him away for a 5th round pick, they could package him and the 23rd to go up to say 10th or something. He is/was a high first round talent with serious maturity issues but is big, strong, lightning fast AND quick, WILLING blocker....he is an excellent receiver held back by immaturity and drugs. The main problem is immaturity, which lead to everything else, or so reports out of Seattle the past two years have claimed.

The difference between Koren and Bradford besides age is that Robinson has the ability to take over a game if he gets his head straight. The dude has serious talent, but questionable character and his concentration seems to be lacking.
If he were ever to get it together, he could be supremely dangerous... many of us want another WR opposite AJ to take some pressure off of him, and KR would do that more than Bradford IMO.
Now, having said that, I don't think we need to be the team to take the chance on him maturing...
We should be able to relieve some of the double teaming of AJ through scheming and/or through adding an additional WR through the draft and developing the ones we currently have. <---- run-on sentence???

The Seattle Post Intelligencer reports the Seahawks could offer up WR Koren Robinson in a draft day trade now that the team has signed WR Jerome Pathon to a three-year contract. Robinson's status with the Seahawks is very shaky given his troubles with the team. The Seahawks had already added Bucs free agent WR Joe Jurevicius to the receiver mix that includes starting WR Darrell Jackson, No. 3 WR Bobby Engram, WR D.J. Hackett, WR Jerheme Urban, WR Taco Wallace and WR Jason Willis.

Bradford has ZERO fumbles in the last two seasons and 3 or 4 drops in the last two seasons...
