Update on Filo_Girl

If has been confirmed that she did have a stroke on her Brain Stem. They still aren't sure what caused it but they are now thinking that she may have a hole in her heart. They are going to put a camera down her throat tomorrow morning to see if they can find anything wrong with her heart.

She is still having issues talking a little but it seems like it might be getting better. She is also having trouble with her vision in her right eye along with some dexterity issues with her right arm. Part of her mouth, tounge and throat are still numb but is seems she is getting a little sensation back.

I'll gladly keep the prayers and thoughts coming. Thanks for sharing this with us. As always I have no ingenious words to say in these situations except to say we're all behind you guy's 100%.

She is in Memorial Hermann Katy I-10 and Hwy 99

My Grandmother had a stroke. It was a long road to recovery. Lots of physical and speach theropy. She did recover though. Be patient. Dont get discouraged cus there are going to be ups and downs from here to there. Just know that there will be better days.

They paroled her today and she is sleeping (instead of cooking me dinner) :( She still has some vision issues and speech issues but at least she is home. They still aren't sure what caused it but they expect full or almost full recovery. So ya'll might want to tell her to get busy cooking and the laundry is starting to stack up (She won't let me do it) (I have done it for her in the past) :) I gurantee she won't eat my cooking.

Alright Carrie, get back to work and have that laundry finished by tomorrow. If it backs up any more Doc might have a coranary.

Just got on line at the Jaguars site and learned of this from Texans84. Just want you to know that Filo_Girl is in our prayers. Hoping to do battle again with her soon. Hurry up and get well.
 
Great news! Congratulations, and I hope everything improves quickly!

Just remember to keep up with the physical therapy and she'll be back to 100% in no time!
 
I just read this. My thoughts and prayers are definitely still going to be with you guys! I know she will be fine.

I was in MH-Katy back in May and I was very impressed with the facilities and the doctors.

If there is anything you need, let me know. I am always willing to help a fellow member of our Texans family!
