I think this guy is nothing more than training camp fodder ..... just a body to take a few reps maybe push some of the others to perform. With no competition behind them they may become complacent . He has made the final roster of the cowboys / 49'ers each of the last 4 seasons but has seen very limited PT.

Agree. It's all about depth right now. Plus, he's a biggin! Could spell Payne for a few plays. Plus, we all know how durable Payne is.

Besides if i remember right daleroy was not half bad here in dallas. but that was a 4-3 system i dunno how well he can take a double team as a 3-4 lineman

Houston Texans: The team signed defensive lineman Daleroy Stewart and receiver Reggie Swinton on Wednesday.

Stewart, a four-year veteran, spent three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys before joining the San Francisco 49ers last year. He made five tackles in five games in 2004.

Entering his fifth year, Swinton was a backup receiver and return specialist for the Detroit Lions the past two seasons. He played with the Cowboys his first two years in the NFL.

Swinton had 18 catches for 213 yards and one touchdown with Detroit in 2004. He also averaged 22.8 yards on kickoff returns and 6.5 yards on punt returns.
