Texans ~vs~ Tacks Game Score Prediction

Texan Asylum

Hall of Fame
This game, by all accounts, is our most important game to date. We are arguably facing the greatest challenge of our team to date. If we rise to the occasion and beat this 'abhorrence' of a team in the Tacks, it could quite possibly catapult us to the next level...that of playoff contenders for 2009!

A previous time we faced a 'clearcut' Super bowl favorite from our devision, it was the 2006 Indy Colts, and might I remind you of what the outcome of that game was!

12/24 ~ INDIANAPOLIS COLTS ~ 27-24

So, in the manner of numerology, this Sunday being the 14th and 10 days different from the Indy date, I'll adjust my score prediction accordingly, based on taking 10 points away from the Tacks...

Texans Win! 27-14

The Texans will NOT be in the Christmas giving spirit on Sunday and will limit our turnovers. Slaton has a tough day rushing, but AJ gets a TD reception and Kris Brown kicks 3 FGs including the game winner. J Jones has a big time game changing punt return for a TD.

Texans 23
Titans - 20

I don't do predictions, but I'm having a hard time trying to convince myself we're going to win this one. Any given Sunday and all that jazz, but I'm expecting a loss.

Texans 44 Titians 17

LOL. I'll wager on this one.

I expect a close game and actually believe the Texans get off the schnide and win a huge game for their franchise. I have a bad feeling some complacency is going to set in on the Titans sideline and Fisher is gonna be pissed as hell come Monday morning.

Texans 24
Titans 20.

Picture Pittsburg 200?! D wins this game for us!! Reeves will MAKE a couple TDs rather than give um up, Dunte will take one to the house. Mario and Demeco will be on Collins like flys on honey, AO and TJ will use this game to prove they know how to play SMART smashmouth football, and MOST of all, our HC will come out of the closest and grow a pair!!

28-14 Texans!!

I'm coming over to your house and checkin' out what you been smoking. LOL

Good dream though, it would be very nice to see us pull this one out. Not only would it give the Texans a sudden shot in the arm of NFL respect, but some long over due self respect also.

I really want to win this game - I want to win every time we play these fools. Because I have a few doubts about us winning - I've paid for my son's friend to come to the game. Every time my this guy attends a game - we win - been that way for 7 years now - Obviously, he doesn't go to many games but he came to the Jacksonville game and I told him that he had to come to the Titan game. Hayull, if we win this one, I may just buy the kid season tickets.

Hell, when you get my age that's all that's left!! SWEET DREAMS!!

Duane Brown just sighed in relief and a HUGE bullseye is on Chester Pitts. Van den Bosch is out for the game so Haynesworth is going to come a huntin'.

Ooops--old news.

I love the 30+ predictions. You do realize that if the Texans did pull that off they would be only the second team this season to do it.

To take that even further if some how the Texans scored more then 17 they would be only the third team to hit that platue this season.

Titans 31 Texans 13

Didn't we hear how we wouldn't rush for 100 yards against the Titans in the first game?

When these 2 teams play, anything can and usually does happen.

Rushing for 100 is one thing putting up the most points scored on a D that is two in the league at points allowed giving up only one more point then the top team is a completely different thing.

I never predicted a less the 100 yard game out of anyone BTW.

So how low would you say the odds are we put up 30 then? Since you're knocking my prediction.

What were the odds people gave your team before the year started, including your own fans, that they would be 12-1 at this point? Those odds weren't very good now where they? Anything is possible.

Since we're talking about odds...

What are the odds when two teams face each other twice in one yr. that the scores from the two games will basically be identical ?

I appreciate the one point bump for us from last game though....

Texans-24 Titans-14

Yet your only loss was when the Jets scored 34 on you and I am sure most here plan on us winning. Soooo....

Then after making your point you predict that you will win by 18 in our house.

i think the texans are good enough once we get control of our turnover problem to but up 30 points a game on any team

If I were a Texans fan ... nausea I would hope for your D to hold our offense and the Texans put up maybe 17. Holding us to 7~10 and winning like that. If the game goes to a shoot out we will kill you. Titans D will wear down Schaub and in the late 3rd to 4th ... we will slowly overtake you. It has been the Titans MO for the entire season.

We have the best +/- in the league and the fewest points in the league by one. Lighting us up on the score board is not going to a very realistic view ... though I guess it could happen.

Of course it could happen.....divisional opponents and the Texans really want this game.....any give Sunday and all that jazz. You can talk numbers and stats all day long but none of that matters now, just 60 minutes come Sunday. All we need is for Collins to struggle, and to focus on stopping the run, you guys can't afford for Schaub to go off again, no way our team goes off like last week and not put more points on the board plus our D is playing much better. Alll we need to do is control the turnover problem. Our high octane offense against the stoud D of the titans makes for a very interesting match up. Personally, I think we are going to see a battle that comes down to the end. We are hot right now and playing at home, it should be tight.

What the hell do you Titan dipshits want us to say? Our season is over. We have no playoff hopes. We're once again already thinking about the draft and next season.

OF COURSE WE'RE GOING TO GET OUR HOPES UP AND PREDICT A WIN!

Jesus Huxtable Christ, you're 12-1 and you're going to the Super Bowl. Let us get all worked up and excited about a freaking regular season game, and be glad that win or lose - you guys are still headed for something big this year.

So what if we think we can hang 30 on you. Do you realize how utterly improbable our win at Green Bay was? I would have predicted a win at home vs. Tennessee TEN times before I would have predicted a win at Green Bay.

So what, so we think we might score 30. Big deal. Your team has bigger fish to fry anyway, and if you do lose you'll just say "whatever, not important we can still lock down home field advantage blah blah blah" so why even try to come here and **** on any of our optimism, whether it's insane or not?

that's odd cuz we're better than Green Bay and it showed. furthermore, a win at home against the tacks isn't that improbable. record suggests that the odds are against us but this is the NFL. any team can beat any other team on any given sunday. it helps the cause if one of the teams is us and we're not half bad, which we're not. if we were the lions then well, there might be a better argument...

Titans 38 Texans 17 you guys are the biggest homer I've ever seen.

We're the homers? You are predicting a 21 point win, on the road against a divisional opponent who's playing pretty good ball right now.....but we're the homers....that makes sense......

Nah....they will get there bye week obviously, only to get "blowed out" (Emmit Smith style) in their first playoff game........there gonna collapse like a house of cards.:brando:

If not improbable, at least unprecedented under Teflonman.

it helps the cause if one of the teams is us and we're not half bad, which we're not.
The Texans are 6-7. Which makes them almost exactly half bad. The Lions would be 100% bad.

Texans fans' obsession with the Titans reminds me of George Costanza's delusions of parity with Ted Danson.

George: Thirteen thousand?
Jerry: Thirteen thousand.
George: a piece?
Jerry: No, for both!
George: That's insulting! Ted Danson makes eight hundred thousand dollars an episode.
Jerry: Oh, would you stop with the Ted Danson?
George: Well, he does.
Jerry: You're nuts!
George: I'm sorry. I can't live knowing Ted Danson makes that much more than me. Who is he?
Jerry: He's somebody.
George: What about me?
Jerry: You're nobody.
George: Why him? Why not me?
Jerry: He's good, you're not.
George: I'm better than him.
Jerry: You're worse, much much worse.
