Tacks Plan to Take Schaub Out..........

CloakNNNdagger

Hall of Fame
...........physically or psychologically, per Haynesworth.

[AP]
Now Schaub and the Texans prepare for their second meeting with AFC South champion Tennessee. Schaub had his worst outing of the year in Game 1 with the Titans, throwing three interceptions with no scores and fumbling twice in the 31-12 loss.

The Titans remember that game, but they also saw what he did to the Packers and vow that he won't do that to them.

"We're going to have to go in there and look to shut them down and not let them gain ... and just embarrass us like he embarrassed Green Bay," Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth said.

Schaub, who wears a large brace on his left knee, was taken down once last week. Haynesworth and the Titans plan to "get after him" a lot more this week.

"That's our game plan," he said. "Hit the quarterback as many times as we possibly can. He'll start cringing before you even get there ... we want the quarterback to think about us and not think about throwing the ball down the field."

We better be prepared to protect Schaub. Meyers better be able to hold his own. Brown better be assisted if need be. Leach may need to be considered for standing back with Schaub when needed as an "enforcer." Schaub needs to be aware of where Haynesworth is at all times, yet remain calm. Appropriate plays should be planned away from Haynesworth. The cut block needs to be effectively utilized. Enough running plays need to be called to prevent all out bull rushing Schaub.................and if Schaub is unnecessarily manhandled, let one of the OL's Bull's horn see red and impail the SOB.

All I will say is if they cheap shot Schaub, I hope someone takes Collins down and puts him on IR. Let VY lead them through the playoffs.

Nope. Collins isn't "the key" there. At this point VY could probably go in and hand off the ball to "Lard and 'Tard" without much trouble. If retaliation is necessary you want to take Fat Albert out for the season and maybe most of 2009 by running him through the cut-block-express.

IF there is a game plan on this kind of thing, it is a Longest Yard scenario and Leach is the guy least likely to get tossed. Honest screen pass call with Leach catching Fat Boy as Pitts lets him inside next to Meyers.

I am not normally into anything to do with hurting another player, but I am tired of Fat Boy's mouth. He has earned whatever he gets.

Hey I never said you couldn't do both.

lmao "lard and tard" :spit:

I say we attempt to cut Haynesworth every single play, if possible. Have the center tell him he's specifically going to try and engage him so leach can take out his knees. Lets get in his head a little, and let him see how it feels

I agree man. I am never an advocate for a player getting injured regardless of the team, but enough is enough with this lard ass. If he takes a shot to the knee and it ends his career I would jump for joy. I hope Matt torches them and we find a way to protect him.

There is good news here, however.

Tennessee Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch did not practice on Wednesday because of his sore groin, and is not certain how soon he will return to practice or playing.

Vanden Bosch admitted that with the Titans having already clinched a first-round bye and knocking on the door of home-field advantage for the AFC playoffs, that it might be prudent to proceed with extreme caution over the next few weeks to ensure he is ready for the playoffs.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher said Vanden Bosch would be “day-to-day” as far as practice is concerned and could very well be a “game-time decision” Sunday against the Houston Texans.

And....
Other Titans who sat out practice on Wednesday included defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (sore knee), linebacker David Thornton (hip), running back LenDale White (sore knee) and starting cornerbacks Nick Harper (ankle) and Cortland Finnegan (hamstring). Running back Quinton Ganther (hamstring) was limited.

With any luck, they will "save" these guys for the playoffs. I think, should Haynesworth play, we go for the knee. :bat:

HOLY SH*T!!!! I just spit Wild Turkey all over my hotel room. I saw an interview with Chris Johnson and 'tard was the 1st thing that came to mind. RUN, FORREST, RUN!!!! The guy can't get out two ledgible words in a row. I don't take kindly to cheapshots, but if they target one of our own, turnabout's fair play. But please get a RB or DL.

I may be in the minority (and not singling you out).. but I prefer them (tiny-ones) to be full strength.

what I hate is every year (and it will happen) is fans debate about our record (Texans) and the "hollow wins" of another team resting their starters against us

And understandably so,if I team is already in the playoffs I understand them resting the starters so they can get ready for the 2nd season

with that said, Titans (if I recall) are still fighting for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

I don't wish injury on anyone but I would like to see

Version 2.0 with Leach and Albert in the starring roles

Off topic, but to reinforce a point made in another thread--size isn't everything. Maurice Jones Drew is a great short yardage guy despite size and someone like him would be better as a compliment to SS than being locked into a "big" back and ending up with another ballerina like Jonathon Wells.

That's our game plan," he said. "Hit the quarterback as many times as we possibly can. He'll start cringing before you even get there ... we want the quarterback to think about us and not think about throwing the ball down the field."

Wow, what 'dirty' threats! Great idea to respond to a legitimate gameplan to chop his knees out etc.

As they say on ESPN - CMONNNNNN MAN!

Never believe any injury report. If it's the opponent talking then unless the guy is placed on IR he'll probably play and could have a career day against us. If it's us talking then the guy who is probably for next week could go on IR any moment. Just assume the worst where injuries are concerned and then enjoy being pleasantly surprised if it doesn't happen.

Coming from Fat Albert this is cause to take notice. It's not like we're talking about a guy who didn't stomp on another players head. Haynesworth is a turd and what might not get much notice coming from another players mouth comes across entirely differently when he says it. You'll note as well that I said "If retaliation is necessary" and you know what that means.

Hopefully it's not necessary and we have a clean, hard fought game Sunday. If it gets beyond that then Fat Al needs to expect a response this time. His history isn't going to let him sneak up on anybody. The Texans OL will be paying attention and the Titans should understand that the Texans missing Matt Schaub for the rest of this non-playoffs season is a lot easier to swallow than the Titans going into the playoffs with Hayneworth on the sidelines using crutches. Who has more to lose right now?

Hell Im jealous! I wish we had a gameplan like that. I think most here are as well they just dont want to admit it. If Mario said the exact same thing most here would be sayin Hell Yeah!!! Go get em Mario!! I cant wait for our D players to have that attitude.

lmao "lard and tard" :spit:

It just came to me while I was glancing down a thread over at the Titans message board where they were all crying about Carolina "stealing" their "Smash and Dash" nickname. I thought "You could always go with Lard and Tard instead" and it stuck.

Hey, we'll play clean as long as Hayneswworth does
soon as he gets dirty - i.e., driving Matt's shoulder into the ground or hitting well after the ball is gone - which he's known to have done, its ON

lets make it very simple have two linemen double eithr the left or right DE and have Matt boot leg from the Double team

besides the best way has u all know to stop a blitz is to run the ball down there thort every time they show blitz just Run the ball

I think the Titans will be in for a surprise.

"Now Schaub and the Texans prepare for their second meeting with AFC South champion Tennessee. Schaub had his worst outing of the year in Game 1 with the Titans, throwing three interceptions with no scores and fumbling twice in the 31-12 loss."

There were some drops that cost us 2 TDs in the first meeting.

2 TDs puts the Texans on top 26-24, and the desperation throw that led to a defensive TD never happens.

Schaub has been playing much better after the rocky start in the first two games, throwing 11 TDs and 3 INTS in 5 complete games.

I don't know if the Texans will win, but the Titans are for dang sure in for a fight.

Amen! Our players and D coaches need to have that attitude!

I think we're going to see a fight. I mean a real fistfight on the field.

I have no doubt that the Texans are going to strike back if the Titans try any questionable stuff. From what I saw in the game vs. Green Bay, this is a team that seems to be focused (finally). The first part of the season they seemed to be in a fog...of course that's during the hurricane episode, so it's expected.

I don't think the Titans are prepared for what's about to happen this Sunday.

With a bully you hit them first and hit them hard . That seems to take the starch out of them .

They'll be prepared all right. JF will make sure of it, even if he has to turn his back to Hinnybutts antics. He has BALLS, which is something Kubes has yet to grow. JMO

I think you can be tough without being dirty , I'd like to see us be tough . I want to see hits on Collins and stuff the run . I want the stadium to be so loud that the Titans can't hear and have to go on movement which gives us a chance to put lots of pressure on Collins and force mistakes .

I do NOT believe in the Hammurabi code's "An eye for an eye.";however, I DO believe if the other guy cost you an eye, you completely blind him then break one of his knees...but that's just me.

I say we need to sign Dayne to a one game deal and let him run into the back of Haynsworth's legs.

If we don't see some sort of attitude from our OL this game, we should all be very worried. They are there to protect our QB and if someone gets through to Schaub, they need to act like every other OL in the league and get the D player away. I'm sick and tired of seeing Schaub get rid of the ball yet the DLman still pushes him down and there's no sort of action taken by our OL.

I'm waiting for Winston to turn around and see Fat Al and completely blindside him. I would not be surprised in the least bit if we see a few skirmishes this game.

Just an old fashion beatdown of Battle Red proportions. I say be the bigger man and never wish injury on another player, Consider Mrs. Hineysworth and how she would feel if Alberta got her pinky hurt.
If we prepare and play like we have tha last three weeks we have just as good a chance as they do.
Skill and execution win football games.
Being vindictive will send you to hell.

I doubt she cares, she divorced him. :whip:

Agreed.

If scenes like this are recreated without half of our team quickly obscurring Haynesworth's silhouette, teams will continue to game plan for the wuss team we've thus far shown to be.

I read that if Schaub gets cheap shoted by Haynesworth that Gibbs is going to personally chop block him into 2009!

The accusations seem to be rampant in this thread.
Please cite (i.e. by videos) me some examples of where Al has cheap shotted Schaub.
As for the head stomping incident that you guys (and the rest of the league) can't seem to get over:
In the words of Smokey from Friday: Why you brinin' up ol' ****?

How do you think we shut down LenDale White last time?
The same way we kept Slaton to a lowly 17 yards in the 2nd half?

If the OL doesn't defend Schaub on the knock-downs and after-play activities...then Kubiak should be fired at the end of the season.

Coaches need to remind people that you have to stand up for your teammates. Risk an ejection. It doesn't matter. Your QB is valuable, and you can't keep losing him to thugs like Haynesworth and Allen. You just can't.

And our history has been that we roll over and even freaking IGNORE what's happening to our QB after the play.

I think Steve McKinney might be the only guy who I can remember running over to help our QB. That was soooo long ago, though.

This OL better have been taught, this week, that they will certainly be expected to keep an eye on the questionable activities right after the ball is out of Schaub's hands or when he's getting tackled.

We need to run sets of Slaton and Leach in the backfield, early in the game, to gang up on Albert and KVB to take some piss and vinegar out of them. You know they will be charging on ever snap. I said the same freaking thing vs. Vikings: Take the piss and vinegar out of them early on, show them they AIN'T gonna' get to the QB...we might go 3-and-out a few possessions early on...but they AIN'T getting to Schaub. And yet we have Vikings' dlineman beating our olineman easily and hurting Schaub in the process.

It seems so simple, to me. Hold the fort up front, and watch them slow down after getting burned. Run screens, shovel passes, RB dump off passes, etc., to take advantage of the FACT that they are going to be racing upfield towards Schaub.

Let's see if Kubiak learned anything from the past meetings vs. Titans, as well as the Vikings game where we faced a stout dline. That's what this game will hinge upon: Has Kubiak learned anything, and can he implement it? Or will he stick his head in the stand and just go about business as usual? That will work vs. the Lions or Bengals. Not so much against Steelers, Vikings, Titans. Correct?

For anyone who might be surprised by some of the venom spewed in this thread towards Haynesworth...............you might want to see this short clip. Despite the fact that it involves a Cowboys player on the receiving end, it still leaves you with a cold chill as to the inner "workings" of the mindset of a not so "nice" character.

And since that incident (which pissed me off bigtime BTW), the man served his suspension (I was fine if he had been put on the sideline for the season) and since then, has cleaned up his act bigtime. He's become a leader on the field, and much more humble off it. He had two choices after that moment - go to football hell and never come out of it, or grow the hell up and get some maturity. He chose the latter, and the Titans have benefitted bigtime from it.

Go ahead and judge him based on that, but there is a significant amount of time that has elapsed since then and he has done absolutely nothing but play clean tough football.

But based on some of these ridiculous posts rooting for players to hurt Al, I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't be rooting for him to squash the hell out of your QB again.

If we come out like BULLS out of the stall, we have a good chance of winning this game. If we come out like COWS, we're gonna get milked, with or without turnovers

That is signature worthy.:tiphat:

I want the Texans to come out and smash Haynesworth in the mouth first. Like the block Dreesen put on Vanden Bosch n Lomb early in the 1st game in Tennessee. Like CnD said we need to come out like Bulls out of the stall.

Hey Canadien, I was talking bout her momma,
And now it is Gloves Off

There once was a hill with a titan
till the Bull knocked him off
now thats football
