Schaub: Offensive POW & Nominated for Air & Ground

I voted for Schaub when I was there voting for CJ as ground player of the week.
I hope Schaub gets it. He and the Texans have been playing well as of late.
I think DeAngelo Williams will win the ground award, unfortunately.

I voted Schaub and Deangelo Williams.

Deangelo Williams and Antonio Bryant are on my fantasy team. Last week was the first round of the playoffs in my league. I was the top seeded team playing the lowest seeded team. I went into Monday Night losing badly and came out smelling like a rose. Yay, me!

BUENO!
It's kind of hard to believe that DD never won that in his 3 seasons but I guess he always picked bad weekends to bust 100 yards and somebody else always stole his thunder.

Didn't he win rookie of the week 5-6 times on his way to the Pepsi Rookie of the Year award?

For reference on Steve's Texans potential record setting:

DD has best rookie RB: 1031 yds, 8 TD's, 351 yds receiving.
Slaton basically has that nailed down already with: 1024 yds, 8 TD's, 290 rds receiving.

He should get all time rusher which DD had in 2004 with 1188 yds. Have to have a good stretch to get DD's rushing TD's of 13 in 2004.

Only the third Texan to win it at all.

Texans quarterback Matt Schaub was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 14, becoming the first Texans quarterback to win the offensive award in team history.

Schaub joins running back Steve Slaton as back-to-back winners of the AFC honors, becoming the first teammates this year to win the offensive award in consecutive weeks. The Texans set a franchise record with their fourth player of the week honor, breaking the record of three in 2006 and 2007. Schaub is the third Texan to win offensive honors, joining Slaton, who captured the award last week, and wide receiver Andre Johnson, who won it in Week 4 in 2006.

I think it's great that Schaub won. He deserves it. It doesn't say much for us that our PK and PR are the only multiple winners. I think the times, they are a changin'.

MODERATORS!

You merged two threads that were about 2 different things.

1. Schaub is in the running for the Air & Ground award.
2. He won the Offensive Player Of The Week.

Those are two totally different things and should be two totally different threads.

Sorry--my bad and frankly it is too much of a pain in the butt to change now. If you would like to start a new one on the undecided award, please do.
