Matt Turk > Chad Stanley ever was.

powerfuldragon

Enchilada Aficionado.
Just because of that 4th down run for the 1st.

If only Turk had completed that pass last week. We could have built a statue outside of Reliant for him if he had.

I think we should anyway

I wonder how old he can get and still play. It'd be rockin' if we could have a 50+ year old punter scrambling for 1st downs

This means Turk is Lord of Lords.

May He not strike me down for saying that....by the way.

Turk is always doing something silly

rather its not falling on a football at the SD but wipping last year

or passing into the endzone .......to like a linemen

Chad Stanley is still the only player to hit the roof of LP Field and Arrowhead stadium.

One of the most impressive punts I have ever seen was Greg Montgomery for the Oilers against Denver in preseason (I believe) ... Vinny,AJ,Herv or someone can correct me.. I don't remember how long or far it was, but It was BOOMED .. As a kid, I can't recall any punt that high and far .. Granted it was in Mile high and I was a kid and the key words in all of this post is about a punt THAT I HAVE SEEN... that image on the TV that I saw still is in my memory from about 18 (give or take) years ago..

It wasn't no Dave Jennings punt (from jets or giants (can't remember) that had distance because it rolled so far.) ..

It might have been the camera angle too, but as a kid.. I was in awe

It was just one punt, but man

The run absolutley makes up for the Garo Yuperian moment from a couple of years ago.

Major props to 31.....Guy executed his block on 53 well after he should of been expected too. That's a sign of a point of pride. The block alllowed Turk to scoot asround the corner and did what he did. Guys doing the little things to win games.

That's a mark of a champion. All the little things come together and you win one on the road you shouldn't of have. And by the way that's two in a row on the road. don't look now but we have a streak with the beasties coming in.

Turk's run reminded me of the crash scene in Talladega Nights where they broke to commercial. I felt like I had enough time to run to the restroom and then grab a fresh beer out of the refrigetator. About that time, he was stepping out of bounds....

No Matt Turk avatar to celebrate?

The 1560 guys were funny about Turk this morning. They said that when they had Rosenfels and Owen Daniels on the other day that they both talked about how strong Turk is.

And then one of the 1560 guys talked about how Matt Turk is "Dad strong."

You know, that there's

Gym Strong
Country Strong
and
Dad Strong.

The sort of strength that only dad's have.

It was funny to me at least.

I thought MT was just joking around since both of LP and Arrowhead are open air stadiums.

Typical Punter! He should've put his head down for those extra 5 yards..............:sarcasm:

Long live the Kicker!! LMAO!

A play by a punter has never made me jump up and down and say "Hell YEAH!", until yesterday. There is a first time for everything I guess.

I know some folks did not like the game announcers, but they did have one funny thing that had my boys and me rolling on the floor laughing. They said that punters have a call out to the rest of the team when a punt play is busted. One of them said it in a high pitched "aaaaahhhhhh, don't kill me" voice. It was hilarious, especially since I could picture these sounds coming from Turk as he saw #35 for the Packers break loose in the middle and then the big scramble. Turk got it done!

Kubiak, on 610 this pm, when asked about trick plays, stated that he didn't know Turk was going to pull that play. In other words, it wasn't a called play.
there was way way too much distance to cover for them to call a fake punt right there so I never figured it was anything other than a bail out from Turk.
