Hello, first time poster but a long time reader. I know many of you already, so here’s my grand introduction. There seems to be another board war on the horizon, so maybe I can calm things down with some reasonable Rookie thinking. I feel obligated to start off with a bang by creating a thread.

First off, I’m with the majority here that thinks Richard Smith has to go. By giving up 30 pts a game, we’re lucky to be sitting at 3-7. It’s UNACCEPTABLE. Even though the team says there will be no personnel changes, they’re just playing politics. They can’t publicly admit the season’s over. RS will be gone and Frank Bush is the probable successor. I’m all for it if he changes the bend, keeps bending, and then finally breaks in to pieces scheme.

The great Houston defenses of the past were aggressive and feared, that’s what we need to bring back. I want an Eagles, Ravens, Steelers, Giants, and, dare I say it, Titians defense. The organization will lose respect of their players if nothing is done. Yes, aggressive defenses give up big plays but they also make some. We need to start causing turnovers, not just blindly wait for one to fall into are hands. Peyton Manning has already beaten our base defense before the ball is even snapped. We need disguised coverage’s, blitzes from every which way, zone blitzes; you know, create utter chaos and havoc. If we could just stop an offense a few times on third down, our offense could do the rest. I vote no to any 34 defenses. We can’t afford to retool. (Mario would be a waste) We must win NOW.

As for all the Kubiak haters and naysayers, your Christmas wish will not come true. He’ll be our coach for a long time. So deal with it. He’s not the perfect coach and will make some mistakes just like any human, but he will continue to get better. The players always play hard for him and respect the man. Of course his press conferences are riddled with PC answers. Would you expect him to air their dirty laundry publicly? Actually hold coaches/players accountable to John Mclame? I for one believe he can win us a Super Bowl, however that being years away. Coach K has completely changed our roster in 2 ½ years. Houston fans have been patient a long time and will have to continue doing so.

I for one am glad we invested in Schaub. Key word is investment. He’s no Tom Brady or Peyton Manning but I believe he’s the right man for the job. He knows our complicated offense. He can do more than just manage the game; but will never dominate it. To be fair, very few guys can do this because the QB talent in the NFL isn’t what it once was. In my opinion, Schaub will be a perennial top 10 QB. Many teams have won Lombardi trophies with far less under center. I don’t believe he is injury prone; just unfortunate with some really nasty hits. The guy kept playing on a torn MCL, albeit poorly, but he showed grittiness. Teammates will rally behind leadership like that.

Like most years filled with early disappointment, I’m forced to give up on this season and move on to the next. So now it’s my chance to play GM. I’ve got the same credentials as any other fan, so hang with me here. For the first time, Rick Smith has got money to play with and hopefully he will. That being said, we need Nnamdi Asomugha!!!! Yes, he’s going to cost a fortune and most would disagree. I would normally avoid these team killing contracts however; Nnamdi is just too good to pass up (6’2”, 210 Lbs). He can shut down his side of the field. Nobody throws his way. He was former safety in college, so excellent in run support. I think he’s better than Champ Bailey ever was. Better than Nate Clements/Asante Samuel combined. Plain and simple, he’s worth it. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m willing to lose my favorite player, Dunta Robinson, just to make it happen. Julius Peppers and Terrell Suggs are intriguing but my money’s on Nnamdi. Getting him to come is another thing. A guy can pipe dream, can’t he?

Moving on to the draft, being the homer I am, I would take Brian Orakpo (what a menacing name). The man is a horse. He could be considered a classic workout warrior, except he’s got non-stop motor and will perform. Orakpo is the perfect complement to Mario. That would put him back at his natural position of LDE. He reminds me of Dwight Freeney without the elite spin move but better against the run. I would avoid Michael Johnson; he seems too risky for my taste. I also like George Selvie, although undersized, his production has been tremendous even against lesser competition.

If they dropped to our pick, I would also entertain the idea of an elite LT like Michael Oher or possibly Eugene Monroe. Yes, it’s not the sexy pick we all want. Duane Brown was the 8th LT drafted last year. It was a need and a project to begin with. I don’t believe he’s a bust and he will be serviceable. Unfortunately, he may not be improving as fast as the coaches projected. Oher could be a pro bowl LT and would push Duane Brown to RG further solidifying our line. This could help Schaub actually finish a season.

Following the 1st round, I would go safety, guard, and center in any order. Then I would address RB, LB, DT, and TE in the 2010 draft. I believe we need 2 more drafts to have legitimate playoff aspirations.

I apologize for my painfully long post but it’s been a long time coming. So here’s to Monday Night Football, let’s make the most of it. So Texans, be there EARLY and be LOUD.

Alright my fellow GMs, what do you think, what would you do different? I have thick skin, so bring on the haters and tear this post apart, just leave my grammar out of it.

Last but certainly not least, there’s no crying in football. So all you trolls that start 5 fire Kubiak threads after each loss, bleep off. You’re ruining the message board and it’s depressing!

welcome my friend...GM for a day...huh.

1st order of business...get rid of Smith or put pressure on Kubiak until he does & if he still won't, get in the hunt for Cowher. See about replacing Smith with Marvin Lewis or Wade Phillips...whichever gets his pink slip 1st. If not i guess frank bush is our guy.

2nd....Weaver, Greenwood, Faggins, Green, & TJ are gone the 1st day after the season is over.

3rd.... In FA ...Go hard after:
Julius Peppers
Will Smith
Tommy Harris
Ken Hamlin
... 1 of them is gonna take the money to come here & if we're lucky, 2 might.

4th....the draft. any 1st day combination of Linebacker, Safety & RB would suffice for me as long as those are the positions we draft on that side of the ball & in the 1st day. Obviously Free agency affects how we would go about this so if we fail to snag a big time FA these could change.

These may go beyond GM, but these are the moves that i feel need to be made for us to get to the next level.

Not bad thinking Mr Tex. I’m all for getting rid of bad contracts, especially Weaver and Greenwood. You couldn’t be more right about Kubiak and his good ole boy system. He must drop the axe on his buddy Smith.

Now you mentioned Marvin Lewis and Wade Phillips, would you welcome their 3-4 defenses?

As for free agents, my gut says there will be no notable signings, but I would love to have any on your list.

I'm offering my 2n rd pick forr McNabb. Instant leadership and credibility. I'm trading Sage for a 5th, which they shouldve taken the 3rd from miny. I'm offering a 4th for michael bush to compliment slaton. I'm going hard ater haynesworth 1st, Suggs 2nd. I'm hiring Jerry Gray for dc.

Thhe cuts are weaver,greenwod,grreen,fagins, johnson.

Interesting trade thoughts, but I disagree about Haynesworth. He’s working his tail off for a contract, not for wins, plus he takes to many plays off. I’ll pity whatever team overpays him.

Michael Bush would be a steal for a 4th round pick but Al Davis isn’t that senile yet. He just spent the 1st pick in the 4th round on him last year.

As it stands I would only want to be the GM of the Texans on a day off.

But seriously, 1st day on the job:

Cut: Green

Try to trade: Greenwood, Weaver, T. Johson for anything I could get. I would try to trade Rosenfels even though its a year to late, I would have done it last year for a third.

Try to get FA's: That guy with the name I can't spell in Oakland Oushango or something. Take a chance on Huff if we can get him reasonable.

Draft: This is a tough one to call because of the variables. However this is arguably one of the deepest Junior classes ever. I would stock up on picks some how. We will have a high first round pick, so I'd trade down, and try to pick up drafts for this draft by sacrificing future drafts.

Priorities depending on FA's: 1. Stud LB, (Dare I say to move Ryans if need be), 2. DE (DL Again!!!! Good Lord), 3. Safety, 4. Sleeper QB 5. RB

At the begining of the year I felt like all we needed was a stud Safety to take our below average defense to respectability, but now it seems like we need more. Our Safety's have always been below average to just barely above average at best. However we need a stud LB and DT and DE, will the D-Line ever pan out!!!!!!!!

Oh I forgot to mention I would consider the following:

Look hard a Bart Scott from the Ravens, but the draft would be important.

Also there a lot of contracts that I would restructure, a lot, especially on the defense, don't like it then see ya later, the underperformers need pay according to ability. I know this is easier said than done due to the cap issues with cuts.

Interesting trade thoughts, but I disagree about Haynesworth. He’s working his tail off for a contract, not for wins, plus he takes to many plays off. I’ll pity whatever team overpays him.

This is rubbish. Total internet BS. I have a question for you. Which is it, He's working his tail off for a new contract or he's lazy and takes plays off?????? Saying he does both is kinda contradicting dont you think?

The guy took a few years to get it. Lots of players do. Every since he made the mistake and was nationally scrutenized he has gone out of his way to clean his image up. What ever team gets him is getting the best DT in the NFL at a young age. The only ones I pitty are the opposing teams that are going to be in his division.

Here's my plan:

1. Fire Richard Smith and hire the DL coach from the Giants to be our new DC. They run the perfect defense there, and he seems to create probowl DLineman from anyone

2. Cut Ahman Green, Morlon Greenwood, Anthony Weaver, and Matt Turk. I would absolutely keep Travis Johnson, which seems to counter many of the previous posters thoughts.

3. Trade Sage Rosenfels for best pick availble. Hope for a 4th round choice.

4. In Free Agency, I give us a 0% chance of aquiring Haynesworth or Peppers. Instead, I would sign the following players:
Any available veteran QB (Garcia or Warner would be top 2 choices)
Matt Birk, C, Vikings
Mark Tausher, T, Packers OR another solid swing T
Terrel Suggs, DE, Ravens
Jonathan Babineux, DT, Falcons
Dunta Robinson, CB, Texans (make sure we keep him)

4. In the draft, I would target the following positoins (in order of priority):
1. S (Ballhawking, centerfield, coverage safety)
2. LB (Hard hitter who plays the run well)
3. RB (Brusing, 6'+, 260 lbs+ goal line guy)
4. C/G (Quality depth that can start if necessary)
5. P (We need a guy with a huge leg. I'm tired of the 35 yd shanks)

Lineup:

QB: Schaub, FA
RB: Slaton, Draft, Moats
WR: Johnson, Walter, Jones, Anderson
TE: Daniels, Dreesen
T: Brown, Winston, Salaam, FA
G: Pitts, Briesel, Draft,
C: Birk, Meyers, Draft
DE: Williams, Suggs, Bulman, Cochran
DT: Johnson, Babineux, Okoye, Okam
LB: Ryans, Draft, Diles, Abidi
CB: Robinson, Bennett, Reeves, Molden
S: Draft, Wilson, (Harrison, Ferguson, Barber)

Why it will work:
Our offense is good. All we need to really solidify it is 2 things:
A bruising, pound it up the middle kind of guy to pair with Steve Slaton. We'll have a Giants Jacobs/Ward combo or a Titans White/Johnson combo.
An upgrade at center and a young guard that can play different spots on the line.

Our defense needs work, but I think a large majority of that will change with a new D coordinator. If we can bring in Suggs, we'd be ready to break out. Especially with the Giants DL coach as our DC. Drafting a safety and linebacker very early will make us start 2 rookies, but it will also finally lock up two glaring weaknesses on our defense. Robinson should be back to close to 100% by then, and Bennett should hopefully ease out of his rookie slump with Robinson and a new DB coach.

absolutely.....reason being:

1:) this is a deep Lb draft & combined with FA, we could potentially have our guys in place for the 3-4 in 1 off season if we played our cards right.

2:) As it stands now, we've only got 1 guy on the d-line worth a damn, 1 maybe 2 guys in the Lb corps that can play, & virtually noone in the secondary.....i.e. we're pretty much at ground zero at this point with no identity whatsoever. Anyone we'd lose or that didn't fit the system probably was garbage anyway.

As for FA signings..hey, based on our track record i'm inclined to agree with you, but if there was ever a time to expect them to do something, this would be it considering the cap space we're gonna have available.

TJ is a bust & needs to go. he's borderline David Carr status as far as the time he's been given to prove himself. he makes hardly no plays & we'd have to start looking hard at Amobi & giving Okam & Bulman their shots as both really have made damn near as many plays as TJ has in his last 3 years.

3. Trade Sage Rosenfels for best pick availble. Hope for a 4th round choice.

after the 1st Indy debacle...you're likely not gonna get anything for him at this point. That famous crash & burn is gonna haunt him for the rest of his career.

4. In Free Agency, I give us a 0% chance of aquiring Haynesworth or Peppers. Instead, I would sign the following players:

Haynesworth i agree, 0% chance to get him but peppers is a viable option. He's been trending down from his astronimical 1st couple of seasons but still been very good. i'm not sure if Carolina's gonna be willing to give him the money he thinks he deserves. He's 1 player i'd be willing to overpay for.

4. In the draft, I would target the following positoins (in order of priority):
1. S (Ballhawking, centerfield, coverage safety)
2. LB (Hard hitter who plays the run well)

4. C/G (Quality depth that can start if necessary)
5. P (We need a guy with a huge leg. I'm tired of the 35 yd shank
I'd like to go safety 1st round 2, but with as high as i think we'll be picking, there's no safety worthy.
Lineup:

QB: Schaub, FA
RB: Slaton, Draft, Moats
WR: Johnson, Walter, Jones, Anderson
TE: Daniels, Dreesen
T: Brown, Winston, Salaam, FA
G: Pitts, Briesel, Draft,

all in all though, i like what you're saying though.

Peppers has made a big time comeback this year, he has 9 sacks and is a big reason the Panthers are winning. I think it is just about guaranteed that he either gets a monster deal from them or gets franchised.

Even if they let him go, its just not financially responsible to overpay for someone like him. He showed he's human last year, and kowing our luck, he'd come in here and get 2 or 3 sacks for 10 million a year

That isn’t a BS statement. It is my opinion. Don’t believe me, ask Warren Sapp. He knows how great DT's play and he says he takes too many plays off. So don’t buy into all this media hype.

Let me clarify my contradiction. He’s been great the past two seasons but rest assured that effort is all for the money. I don’t see Albert living up to a 60, 70 million dollar contract. So again, that’s my opinion but it’s certainly not rubbish!

Only time will tell my friend.

sadly, that would still be an upgrade for our other DE as he who is garbage has about 3-4 sacks his entire tenure here!

I am with you on Asomugha but thought he was a FA last season? Sign him and suddenly the whole defense is better. I have advocated the last two seasons going strong for a big player such as a shutdown CB. Yes, you can miss. Same can be said for draft picks. You go with the info and make your call.

Brian Orakpo seems solid and that is what I want for Dline, a guy with motor. Not sure what round he will be there in.

My dream would be:

A starting CB in FA allowing Dunte to move to nickle. Two power DBs that could stop the run and yet break up passes, whooee! Bennett will be solid next season and this allows less pressure on Molden to step up.

1st round: Oher may be there at 8ish where we will probably be selecting from. I would really like the O line then. I'm ok with Brown at LT, but Oher would be better. Salaam could then go or move to support right.

2nd round: Orakpo but this may be too high for him. I'd probably gamble unless there was a good choice at QB. Schaub or no, Sage has not been the back up many thought. At some point we need to start training a young gun. Even if Schaub comes back next season as Brett Favre, we need to solidify this spot.

3rd: I am tempted to go LB or DT here and even posted recently to get a mauler NOW! However, Adibi is looking pretty good and can bulk back up to where he was making him even better at the weak side. Diles will be just fine next year. I am still hopeful that Okam will shine, but I was defending TJ prior to this season beginning. No, I just talked myself back into a monster DT to take up space and stop the run. There I said it.

4th: best FS available. I know, we interchange SS & FS blah blah blah. I want a true FS that can help Bennett. Needs some speed.

5th: A strong power back with a Vonta Leech attitude. 10-12 carries a game to spell Slaton.
6th & 7th best linebackers avail cause we chew em up pretty fast.

Where do I start with this... Asamugo won't be available and the texans couldn't afford a top tier player like that anyway.

Texans will not spend a top ten pick on another OL man, especially at the LT position.

Texans would be lucky if orakpo fell to the 2nd round. Probably won't happen

4th....the draft. any 1st day combination of Linebacker, Safety & RB would suffice for me as long as those are the positions we draft on that side of the ball & in the 1st day. Obviously Free agency affects how we would go about this so if we fail to snag a big time FA these could change.

RB in late 1st day
S, LB, or CB early

These may go beyond GM, but these are the moves that i feel need to be made for us to get to the next level.

Generally agree

I know it doesn't mean much at this point, but some mock drafts NOW are having Orakpo go early/mid first round. One even had the Texans pick him up in the first. I know mocks aren't always accurate, especially not this early, but by all indications, Orakpo will NOT be there in the second round.

Yeah unless he gets injured I would venture to say there is a better chance of him being selected before we pick in the first round than him being available to us in the second. Buddyboy is right though, early to mid first is his likely landing spot.

GM for a day? Just one day? Wow, I've got a lot to do then.

1) Fire Richard Smith.
2) Make plans to release Weaver, Green, Chris Brown, & Bruener when it best benefits our salary cap. In other words, should they be cut immediately or after the June 5th(?) release date?
3) Spread the word throughout the league that TJ, Sage, & Petey are available for trade. Take any draft picks offered.
4) Inform Greenwood he's a backup & that he'll have to renegotiate his contract to reduce his cap hit or he'll be released outright.
5) Start search for best proven DC available. Will consider highly regarded defensive assistants as possible candidates.
6) Call Al Davis & offer a 5th round pick for Michael Bush. Will consider throwing in a future 5th round pick if necessary, but nothing more.
7) Contact the agents of FA CB's Nnamdi Asomugha, Ron Bartell, Chris Carr, Chris Gamble, DeAngelo Hall, Bryant McFadden, & Corey Webster to make initial contract offers. Drop any from this list that are franchised or resigned by their former team. This'll be my only big FA move outside of our own roster moves.
8) Make a preliminary contract offer to Dunta & inform him of our intent to sign one of the above mentioned CB's to help him.
9) Make offers to all of our FA's that we intend to keep.
10) Draft Day - I really want Maualuga & I'll only trade down if I get a King's ransom.

RD 1) Rey Maualuga (MLB) - We're moving DeMeco to OLB & Adibi to FS. I like this kid because of his strength & nasty streak.
RD 2) Everette Brown (DE), Greg Hardy (DE), Brandon Graham (DE) - Someone always unexpectedly slips to the 2nd round. Perhaps Brown or Hardy will be the one this year. If not, Graham will be a nice consolation prize.
RD 3) Rashad Jennings (RB) (6'1" 232lbs. w/4.46 speed) - Our thunder to go with our lightning. By the way, Al turned down our offer for Bush.
RD 4) Dan LeFevour (QB)
RD 5a) Max Unger (C)
RD 5b) Ron Brace (DT)
- We got a 5th for TJ so it made sense to pick his replacement with it.
RD 6) Selvish Capers (OT)
RD 7) Ronnie Palmer (ILB)

Assuming all this happens, our team should look something like this.

Hottoddie, I like some of the things you say about the rebuild, but I have a few to add.

Hall is not good. He's living on a name from the past, he guess to much and has been wrong a lot lately.

I dolike gamble and the panthers have been groming marshall to take his spot. They also have Pepper and Gross as free agents, so he might be availiable.

The Adibi idea at safety is a bad one. He never played safey in his football career. Then you want to put him as a sefety and expect him to recognize routes in front of him? I think that's a bad idea.

The de concepts. There are a few guys that can come in and make a impact on the dl. From most examples, it takes 3 yrs to really get going. I don't think this team has 3yrs to wait on a pass rush. I'm willing t bet if Jaksonvile had to do it again, they wouldve wish they had gotten Allen instead of moving up for Harvey and drafting Grroves and got their combined 1.5 sacks.

With all the moves you did, what good is it when your qb's have 20 turnovers? I think this team and franchise are in sure thing mode. They need to get high impact diference makers now.

1. Mcnabb. He's underappreciated by phily fans.He just made 32 and he has 170 td to 70 ints. He's had 66 fumbles but only 9 lost. This year he has 2700 yds 14 tds and 8 ints throwing to a rookie 2nd rd pick and just last week his #1 just cme back. Vince and Leinhart were high bonus baby pics and have been replaced. The veterans have made their teams better and that's all that matters. He's probably going to cost the Texans 2nd and maybe a player, but to decrease the teams to's by 9 ad have a top 8 qbb wll do wonders.

Defense. Some teams lke to get the cover guys to get the qb to hold the ball longer like the packers. Some teams like to heat the qb up and make him throw quick for bad plays like tennessee, giants, steelers. There is a saying, pressure leads to picks, coverage leads to sacks. I'm a point of attack type of guy. If ou look at the titans, their db's are playing so we'll because their front 7 is so good. When you can stop the running game with the front and get pressure on the qb with 4, it leads to a winning formula. That said, Haynesworth,Peppers,or Suggs are my top targets.

Haynesworth hs played great the last 2 yrs, but people still think its because he's playing for a contract. Its hard to say and you can probably put Peppers in that category also. Haynesworth is a game changer inside. He can get quick pressure, you have to double him and changes theline of scrimmage. He's still young, so financially he can fill a 6 yr contract.

Peppers was on his way to a dominant career. He's one of the most athelticaly gifted players in the entire league. He slumped for 2 yrs, but is back to his old ways in a contract year. He and Mario would be a nice de combo for sure, but he has a questionable motor.

T-Sizzle has been the most consistent of the 3. He's played de in the 46 and he's been a lb in this hybrid they play now. He's avg 10 sacks a season, 25 yrs old and plays with effort and energy every down. The money will be about the same for all 3. 6 yrs 70m with 25-30m guaranteed. For yrs the texans have gotten avg fee agents, this is the yr they can get a pro bowl level player.

As far as your draft picks, I like the mlb, but why move ryans when the guy other than this yr has played at a probowl level? I also like the Michael Bush idea for a 12-15 carry deal.

I haven't watched Hall in the last couple of years, but my thinking is that Rhodes might be able to make him a better CB.

I do like gamble and the panthers have been groming marshall to take his spot. They also have Pepper and Gross as free agents, so he might be availiable.

Let's hope so.

You might be right, but I believe he could get by on his speed & cover skills at first while Rhodes is working with him. I think he's a smart enough kid to pick up the position pretty quickly & he brings great size to the position that will allow him to punish receivers coming over the top.

Keep in mind, we only have so much money to spend in free agency. Otherwise, you can very quickly put yourself into cap hell. This draft is pretty deep in DE's & we don't have to get a probowler. We just need someone initially that can be disruptive enough to make the QB aware of them & give Mario that extra step to get to the QB. Then, in 2-3 years, we could have one of the most dynamic DE tandems in the league for a long time.

Again, you have to pick the FA that will give you the most bang for the buck with the limited funds you have to dole out. Mcnabb will cost a lot of money & he'll be turning 33 during the season next year. If I'm going to sign someone for a lot of money, I'm going to want to secure his services for several years. Mcnabb doesn't have a lot of years left in him.

I'd love to have one of these three, but if they are not franchised or resigned before free agency begins, then their respective teams are truely inept. As much as we'd like to dream about signing the big superstar in the prime of his career, it just doesn't happen very often & when it does, it's because a team gutted itself of talent & draft picks. Or, they could be playing for Oakland. :D

As far as your draft picks, I like the mlb, but why move ryans when the guy other than this yr has played at a probowl level? I also like the Michael Bush idea for a 12-15 carry deal.

It's my opinion that moving DeMeco to WLB will prolong his career & better utilize his speed off the edge to enable us to do more blitzing. Right now, our DT's are young & still adjusting their games to the NFL level. DeMeco is getting beat up & we still have a gapping hole up the middle which I believe Maualuga is strong enough to plug.

I don't mean any disrespect to DeMeco with this move, but I do believe the move would make us a better team & allow us to put much more pressure on opposing offenses. It also frees DeMeco up more in coverage if he doesn't have to be concerned with guarding the middle.

In my opinion, this move gives us the ability to blitze more, have better secondary coverage, & generally free up one of our better players to do more damage. If it plays out like I imagine, we should see our sacks & defensive turnovers from interceptions & forced fumbles make a significant improvement.

But, as I always say, this is just one man's opinion. ;)

Warren Sapp is the Charles Barkley of the NFL. If something intelligent came out of his mouth inbetween cramming ho hos in it it would be a miricle. No you rest assured that Haynesworth has turned the corner in his career and life. He will be a dominating player for many more years. That is my opinion and you are right, only time will tell.

Hottoddie, if the texans cut some guys and restructure others they will have 35m or so. McNabb has all salary which if involves in a trade can be redone and he can be given bonus which would be cap friendly. Example, he makes 9 m this year as a salary. The texas trade for him and instead of 9m in salary, they can give him a conract like 5 yrs 45m with 20 bonus. So that's 4m per in bonus and 5m in salary which equals 9m against the cap. They can drop Schaub's salary down to base which means he's costing 3m as a backup.

The DL that are coveted are going to cost more. The going rate for either of them will be 30m bonus money judging from the allen, williams and rogers deals. That's 6yr 60m and a cap hit of about 9-10m per. I think it would be money well spent especially with Hanesworth. He's the most important player on the titans defense. Without him last yr they gave up 150ypg on the ground and 30ppg vs 15ppg and 80yds rushing. Not only that, it really weakens a divisional foe. I mean look at what Jenkins has done for a pourus Jets defense. Now, they're top 5.
